Did you hit F12 after loading save (it needs)? Also I am not sure it can work on saved game, as the experience was already set up.

I'm starting new game and no preload setup menu appears.

No, it's not hard but I can't test right now, as I didn't play in a while and folders are all messed up with different versions of Era.

EDIT: I originally posted about mod being bugged with Era 2.9.2 but after switching to the latest conquistador.erm it seems to work fine.

I noticed 2 possible bugs:

- Sometimes AI leaders have one of their primary skills that is very high, just below 100 (98-99), while other stats are at ~10 and other AI leaders have all their stats to ~10. For example at week 2 one leader has Atk: 8 Def: 98 SP: 11 Kwldg: 9  . The bugged stat is always very close to 100, looks like a bug ?

- AI troops gain stack experience, even though I have selected "None" to AI stack experience in WoG options and disabled "Always ACE level" in Conquistador. Looking carefully it looks like AI troops start with no exp, but get a lot of XP quickly after every fight (3 fights and they are already at ACE).

I have good basics in coding so if you can tell me where I should look at to debug maybe I can help.

The thing is, mod was designed for Era 2.42 and I did not have the time to test it for further versions. Normally, stats increase randomly, so if one gets to 100 and others remain to <10, it is possible that Era system of picking random value is broken and gives same result each time now?

As for experience, I have to look inside. I recall I disabled all exp gain if no exp option checked, so it puzzles me why it still gains. Initially the experience system was basically obligatory, as the fact that AI is always at ACE level balances things

Hi Salamandre. The AI experience bug I solved by commenting one line in the script, I think it's this one:

**DO150899/0/6/1&y2>0x16; set AI army to rank 10 every day

So probably just a check to get to that line is missing somewhere. Not a big deal.

The 100 stat bug I didn't find, but it truly looks like a bug, not just bad RNG as you describe, as it happens in the first days after the game starts, and while most AI leaders have ~10 to all their stats, one or two of them have one or 2 bugged stat. If you never encoutered this yourself I believe it might be an other mod incompatibility as it is very reproducible in my games.

However there is overflow detection in your mod (above 118), so I just replaced 118 with 40, that way it's not that much broken (So the AI randomly gets 40 on their stat, but at least it's doable).

All is good for me now, thank you for the mod !

if you replaced 118 by 40, this means AI will never get any stats above 40, not that it gets 40 at once. 118 is for checking the limit before possible bugs (127)

You can also use the mod "Trainer" to open everyday AI heroes then find when the bug occurs.

Yeah I know but I think 40 is a reasonable number, the "normal" value the AI should have when I meet him.
