yeah, i'd say cerebi are the best lvl3's (close to ice elementals), and the most useful against cpu.  Regular bless is not effective without mass bless (vs human).

As for me, I'm always the warrior, not the spell-caster.  Therefore my goal is usually to eliminate opponent before he can implode me or resurrect himself, which is where the cerebi transformed into demons are more useful than cerebi. (more overall damage)

cerebi are also a good target to sacrifice (sultans or devils) because of their high HP.

cerberi

surprises me thou that you consider the dogs as a backbone of inferno, i rarely even build em lol, and their growth isnt too good...5 basic compared to 7 of most other towns

they good, but usually you cant build em week1, and after that it only worth it if you got a dwelling

Yea i agree with andi, i find myself forgetting to even building the dogs most of the time.

Has anyone else noticed how absolutely useless a cursed inferno army is. They cannot do anything and no number of demons, sultans, dogs anything will help you. They have the smallest number of hit points and the largest attack range on each creature. The dogs range is 2-7 making a cursed dog do 1 damage or less.

That is only other thing i wanted to mention, if playing inferno you must try your best to get water magic, which usually means not using inferno heroes. This sucks of course. But if you play a good opponent and he gets the exp curse, kiss inferno's ass goodbye even if you have double build, double army, they are useless.

can only agree half way here, coz sultans immune to fire, if a curse hits you you might bless the devils or your other best/largest stack, and still got your L6 and 7 going

agree with Andi here

sultans imune to fire and devils, demons, and pit lords have small damage range, only cerberi suffer. Devils damage goes from 35 (average) to 29 (cursed), Lords - from 15 to 12, and demons - from 8 to 6. Not a big deal. Stronghold suffer most from mass curse - wide damage range and no water for barbarians.

cerbei part of my insurance

Hmm... forgetting to build the dogs? Everyone complains about low Inferno HP so why would you do anything to make it even less?

I find cerbei to be deciding factor in close battles whenever I play Inferno- if you have a big advantage anyway, nothing important about them, and same goes for when you are way outclassed- however as for using Inferno heroes or not- unless you get armegeddon or find water in witch hut, probably go with another hero most often.

Heh, if you guys don't believe me, try tacticians corner with a cursed inferno and sos you are wrong, pit lords, devils, demons, dogs and gogs have a huge damage range

While you are blessing your devils or demons one by one, you are wasting magic casts while your opponent can focus on eliminating the sultans and devils and both don't have a lot of hit points, and what happens when they are gone?

send in the dogs

....nope dogs arent useless..

...pretty easy! send them right to opponent straight to shooter...let them all fast die by oppenent...

..then...

...make demons out of them with pit lords first action!!

..now uve hard hitters right on the other side with no need to go straight over battle field..cause they are already at the shooters

...this is especially very effective in a so called TC game!!

see u around Xarfax1

Inferno is the worse.  Your best chances are at 130% diff, with 6 sultans day 8 on a main hero with expert offense.  Do some damage then because after that unless you get armageddon your odds aren`t that good.

you bring some pit lords into a fight, and 1 stack you want to sacrifice...you let the monsters kill the stack, and on the pit lords turn you point on the dead body and raise it as demons

Revived.

For the reason many players donīt like inferno that much, with some good hints from this thread, they probably change their opinion.
