know where it to put a. pak haha. I do not see the building or the phoenix. I will keep trying

EDIT:Since the mod works for me. I was testing it in hot-seat multiplayer mode, to see it faster, now I've had in a player and it works. : D I'll keep investigating to see if you can add the phoenix apart.

I assumed that you know, but I mentioned that anyway because I put pak in UserMODs when I tried the mod first time, so I wanted to share that experience Anyway, I can build second upgrade, and Phoenix appears instead the green dragon, guess because Phoenix is not upgraded creature.

By the way, it would be great to find possibility to link effect or texture with the artifact, I try to explain what I mean.

For example, we have a hero model and we have an artifact, when hero equips artifact, material of his model changes to another material, or new effect appears on the model of the hero. When hero removes artifact, the texture set to the original ones or effect removes. Did somebody know how to do it? Something like it were in the original heroes 5, remember angel wings artifact, but I steel don’t find how it was done.

If somebody know how to do it please tell, using these knowledge it is possible to make, equipped artifact viewed on the hero model like in RPG

I think we will need new models to any combination. So making every hero with every possible combination of artifacts will make mod very heavy. 26 artifacts on 8 heroes (if we will take only randoms). Hmm i think it will force you to make ~50-100 new models. Ofcourse if is imposible to make visible/invisible only part of model in game. Its interesting idea, but that is lot of work.

It's not a lot work you can create only one model universal for every heroes and by changing texture you can make some part invisible so there will be all needed models in one (similar way were made customization for "Jedi academy" for example)

if it's about effect, then there is more work, but anyway I'm not afraid of it.

If somebody find the way to link the artifact with hero model material or with effect on him (the way I describe earlier) then I think I will be able to make these mod there are much of work but it's not impassible thou

Hi, since right now we have ability to add completely new town without deleting any of existing ones (but with one of the 8 old race ability building)

there is an idea to go even further, and add this new town in the map setting menu, so any player can chose it while starting the game, of course the idea let player chose between, for example, original sylvan town and new sylvan based sanctuary town, it can be done by adding new button that let chose between two (AdvMapTownShared) files, for example like this

so if there is a person who know how to do this please help me because i would be glad to add some new towns in the game but i want to have ability to use them on the original maps

This is from original thread, and it is about adding this town to the map:

depends on what do you mean by variation of sylvan town, it is new town with completely new buildings, creatures, models only one thing you can't change it's the race ability building and as a result town type, but you can always disable the race ability building so nobody can build it, and yes this new town (or a variation of existed ones call it whatever you want))  did not replace any of 8 native towns
anyway it’s not the question, the question is it possible to add this new town in to the map setting menu?

I have a question and also wonder what others would thing about this change.

One thing that I do not like in H5 is that a Tome must go into the Shield slot. Atm, I'm playing Inferno and have the Dwarven-shield, which of course with these guys I need the Def. boost.

What if the Tomes could be equipped in either the Sword or Shield slots? I assume the design idea was about having 2 hands so, it seems no big deal to allow the player to use either. <imo> This would be better for the Factions that are weak on the Def., at least they'd have another option.

Thoughts?

But to make it all clear, you still can play with any of the creatures (towns as well) of the 9 towns then? You can control a Sylvan hero and a Sanctuary one?

you can control a sylvan town and a sanctuary (sylvan based) town at the same time, use all creatures from both... as well as you can control all left 7 towns and use its creatures
but talking about heroes is the other theme, becouse there is only 8 hero class, ofcourse you can create new "sanctuary" hero with new model but formaly he wil be a ranger (or a demonlord, or knight, or bardarian etc)

I think it won't be a problem, because Magnomagus mod (http://heroescommunity.com/viewthread.php3?TID=32305) adds 3 kit classes for each race and it works fine - for example each sylvan class can use racial ability, have morale bonus if have sylvan creatures in army etc. So it is possible to have ranger and sanctuary hero as well at the same time without replacing any other hero.

I guess it won't work with stronghold, since there is no ability that gives demon blood. or you would have alternative factions with no use of their racial ability.

also, maybe training wouldn't work as well.

Does anybody know how to edit hero specializations?

For example, I would like to change the stats gained by gremlins for each level the gremlin master attains.

I've looked everywhere and even dug around in the executable quite a bit, but as yet cannot find the above.

Kinda hoping it's simply in the data files somewhere and I've missed it trying to be too clever..
