Hah ok one wrote "Do u have relatives?," "U have a big family?" etc Obligatory answer she wanted also she wrote "Why I stopped writing XXX Did u get my last letter?" But I wrote "Hi! I'm sorry! I'm also a slow man. I need to think about it things" etc True what? The letter was one day old!! Too bad.. Fred, that's so different from my experience that we may be talking about different sites. Sure, sometimes its personality descriptions aren't entirely accurate, but I've never seen them sound judgmental, or get the impression that it's run by overweight, religious women. If anything, being an atheist is an advantage there.

Wont bother you if you are a smoker yourself and there's a special joy in sharing one after sex but I guess that's very rare in US these days, they treat smokers like lepers. I remember reading a "first impressions" article by Orhan Pamuk, after he started living in New York. He said that Americans have a tendency to categorize people as winners or losers and smoking is associated with losers and weak will.

What's interesting about that fact, is that too many of those same "winners" are lock step in their "smoke is the root of all evil" (sorry ganja brothers) and yet everyday in this country "poisoning-yourself" is not only acceptable, it is a highly desired societal norm. You see the drug that is re-categorized and dismissed as alcohol is desperately needed to keep the comfortably numb from seeing the much bigger "smokes" around the world.
Btw, if a person want's to get ahead in America, I highly recommend, extensive flattery-training, play golf well and always try to buy the next round...of drinks.

For me it has nothing to do with smell, really - although that certainly wouldn't help. I just find the act of smoking disgusting.

I'm not going to romanticize smoking, it's a bad but sometimes very joyful habit. For years, I only smoke while drinking and those two are really inseparable for me. But if I dont smoke/drink for a week, I can happen to find the taste of smoke from a girl's mouth a little discomforting. I think to find it disgusting is mostly about social conditioning though, just like to find it cool and sexy.

i used to smoke, myself. now cigarette smoke bothers me; i can't stand the smell. it smells like poison to me, now. i like weed smoke, though. the only thing that bothers me about some of it, is that it sometimes smells like fresh dog crap. i can't be the only one who smells that from certain weed, can i?
