Black dragons, Gargoyles and Gold dragons are immune to it. Also for some reason if you inflict killing blow on a stack with Ritribution you won't get hurt at all.

I can`t decide if it is OP. It is sum of many variables - haven morale, chosen of the light( GM Light Magic), good defence hero, legionaires.

Next game I won with Anga v Orna. He had all the good artifacts and monster statistics( 17 Might 20 Defence 20 Magic) while I was only at 17 Might 3 Defence 30 Magic. First turn Cyclone and then massacred everything with units and help from Storm Lord ( GM Air Magic). He was debating to try with inquisitor but had only 3 defence..

Which leads me to GM Air is good contrary to GM Water and GM Fire. Why they are so weak I don`t get it.

Ok we have 3 bugs to sumbit then :

1) (from Hermes) killing the unit with retribution aura doesn`t trigger retribution aura

2) Using strike and return doesn`t trigger Storm Lord. I agree that it should not trigger on Behemoth jump but should trigger on strike and return and cyclops shooting ability.

3) When a unit takes damage from retribution aura the gnoll doesn`t shoot.

Killing stacks is notoriously bad for triggering special abilities. It doesn't trigger the Vampire's life drain either, for instance. Regardless of whether the target stack dies or not, special attributes of an attack that affect it somehow should still trigger.

Exactly that!!! Same thing with heroes 6! Lich's ability "life steal" never worked if you killed the stack!
Also hero animation never shows when you kill the creature. Anything you do while killing a creature is negated!!!
Why is this happening? Especially when it was a well known bug from heroes 6!!!!

Why, WHY are they like that??? Frames skipped everywhere!!! Moonwalking horses, heroes, creatures you name it!! A still object moving across the battle field!!!!
Come on ,how do you mess this up???
Is this a nice image for a game that tries to be taken seriously by wider audience???
Also retribution is way op!! And shooters affected too???? Again WHY????

You can say there are numerous other OP things like GM air, necromancy, gnolls, inner fire/weakness, stone skin.

Can someone explain why I would cast summon elementals even with the ability in a final battle. I don`t get it?

Something I have long been ranting about. Unless you can know what you will summon beforehand, this spell has ZERO TACTICAL VALUE. You don't know initiative, you don't know if it can tank, you don't know if it can shoot, you don't even know what abilities it will have. A good player wouldn't use it unless he lacked anything better to do.

What a waste.

well i use that spell instead of fog shroud to block ranged units or when i want to make the unit retaliate so i can attack for free

Yeah ok, a creeping spell. But it could have been an actually good pvp spell and it's not for no good reason.

That's how my last duel went. The guy casted cyclone on my army and I already knew I had lost because of all my scattered units. And it does pimp damage too. A real joke. Even if it did no damage at all It would be the first spell I would cast on my enemy if I had it in my spellbook.

Cyclone is game breaking and replaces strategic placement of units with an all out slugfest. While I understand that battles can turn so, a good strategy game would never allow a strategic battle to turn into a chaotic slugfest with just one press of a button.

Not all factions depend on formation. I am sure necro doesn`t care if units are scattered. Last time I casted cyclone on skeletons and they moved nearer to my army lol and saved teleport of opponent.


tested summon elementals: their count is very little also.

Also what about time stasis? Better kill units then make them freeze for 1 turn OMG. I tried even double time stasis but wasn`t overly impressed either.

bottom line is I like only teleport and only if I take the corresponding perk.

I use it to block off Shooters, but it's only useful when the enemy shooters are relatively close together, or whether it's particularly powerful. It requires a bit of timing, but it can annul an enemy Shooter its attack, while you get an extra turn to move in your melee stacks and go for the kill.

Also, with a high level Magic Hero, the summoned stack is nothing to sneeze at, even if they end up being Fire or Water elementals.

I can understand that GM air is op. But this??? Do you want a win button too? Force yourself to rethink your strategy!!!! Geez!!
Retribution is op for example. But this???? Really??? Also it's cast at a 2x2 area and with air iii,at a 3x3. It s not your whole army that got rearranged!!!

I'm cool with the effect. I think the problem is that it makes it easy to attack units that would otherwise be safe from melee, with +25-50% bonus damage. Flanking ftw

ye developers please don`t nerf Cyclone, GM Air or retribution. Instead increase power of GM FIRE(100-200 dmg wtf?) and GM water.

Time stasis is a great choice to cast with Clarity active as a second  spell.

But almost useless otherwise.. The problem is that it tries to be both a buff and a curse and it fails on both accounts.

H6 petrification for total immunity with 2 turn duration? Not bad.

H6 time stasis for immobilizaion but also open to attacks and unable to retaliate? Excellent.

H7 time stasis? Meh, whatever. It can even be dispelled ffs.

The way things are I'd be cool with increasing its duration to 2 turns and moving it to tier 3 while moving implosion to tier 4. Other than tsunami and resurrection, all other tier 4 spells are lackluster. They do not feel like the ultimate spells, they're just disappointing.

Actually, most H7 spells need to be reworked for the magic game to be meaningful. Meh.

these days we love tier 3 spells also - cyclone, frenzy, lightning reflexes, retribution...seriously today my partner was going to cast a frenzy with 146 attack more but game crashed Next game I had a countering hero for his frenzy with pefect defence. I bet a frenzied unit could kill another one in one blow.

lightning reflexes story - he was left with 1000 skeletons and was surely killing my army stack after stack. Lightning reflexes on cyclops - bam bam 500 died with good luck and incapacitated. But I am lucky Nat and got morale also so I finished the battle in the same turn. I was Stormcaller btw.

EDIT: new content

@gomaki, there are several things that are not quite ok with my new content(adventure map objects)

1) There is no trigger when you win the battle inside the battlesite

2) I have redundant label : "treasure". I am sure you can include this in the options in the expert editor mode so it is removable.

3) There is no visual cue that you receive a resource from a script

I am sure that is not a lot of code but if you do it my objects will really blend with the rest.

Ok After speak to the Editor dev.

He has added a visual cue for when you get items, and can more than likely do the same for resources.

Then I will quote what he said about the other stuff.

'does he want to have a (new) kismet node that fires after battlesite? 1 and 2 would really need some more details'
'about the label I would need to know on which GUI it is shown and from which type of object it comes'

The Trigger is being added on the to do list, but there are some higher prior things being tackled currently.
