Ok I know RoE used Black and Red Orb too much, esp. AIs, or mapmakers. When you've a Black Orb in the RoE, only you can cast spells to your opponent or yourself, but expansion gave also opponent can cast spells, even if your Black Orb. So I rejected Black Orb, thus relic artifact. How? Think about your AI opponent has many Gold Dragons, Silver Pegasi and Faerie Dragons.. You've disabled level 1-7 creatures, and your fear from the AI opponent, so you cast a Slow, Blind, but opponent casts Clone, and you haven't a Clone.. Hmm say the same PS stats.. But more than your creatures?! So the game, plz! I don't need to tuned AIs.. Useless or wrong spells out, so AI can't cast an idiot spell, right? Hmm Black Orb can't use against human/AI, if you've immune creatures like Skeletons, Magma Elemental, Gold Dragon and Titan.. Red Orb? When you've snow spells or you haven't a Wisdom.. Snow spell? Where is Resurrection, so you can't go to against AI and/or human player.. Simple! An idea is TP, when you haven't a TP in the MP and 2 vs 2 in the Giant map, for example! So taking a Red Orb.. But rarely artifact! Both artifacts for feared player  To ban a artifact *facepalm*
EDIT
You can use a Black Orb against neutral monsters..
