Question about SoD, HotA and Ina the Mage

Dear everyone,

I am quite new here, so I try to be as complete as I can.
I have started the map Ina the Mage a few months ago.
One of the best maps I've played, however..

It says on Maps4Heroes.com that you need to play the SoD version.
Currently installed is HotA + HD Launcher, which has an option "Heroes 3.exe", but since I know this game since forever, how do I know it's the SoD version and not the Arma Blade or Erastoria? There are a few ways that I struggled in HotA, for example you cannot "Walk on Water" towards a cave that brings you down the map. The Logistic secondary works a bit different so you can't bring any troops along (which should be the case in the impossible version, but since the map is bloody impossible already on Easy I chose to do that. It's made by an Asian person who knows every single detail there is to know about every troop, skill, secondary so the map is amazingly build.

So.. Back to my initial question:
For a few different maps I need to play on SoD version of the game.
How do I enforce to play on a specific Game (version), preferably for the HD launcher so I don't have to install HoMM3 a few times.

I searched for SoD, Shadow of Death, Launcher and read a few posts.
If I am posting this wrongly or if this topic is well discussed, I am very sorry to open it once more. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction, maybe my search was just lousy (as you can read I am not native in English).

Thanks in advance for all the help.

Yours sincerely,
Frederick

Yeah, just choose Heroes3.exe in HD Launcher instead of h3hota.exe (or however you named your hota and sod executables). You can also tell it to create Heroes3HD.exe so that you don't have to use the launcher every time.

A quick way to tell if you've launched HotA if for some reason you're not sure is to try to start a new game on a random map and see if you can select Cove. The main menu screen should also have a different picture and it should say in the bottom left what version you're playing.

Arma Blade exe is h3blade.exe.

SoD can also be easily recognized by having access to SoD campaigns and some default maps of RoE, AB and SoD types. And having a different main menu picture than AB or RoE, with a label on the bottom left.
