Mario,
That is great but I found a way to convert translations from 5.5 to the Skillwheel. The only folder that needs manual translation is "Panes".
What I do is the following:
- extract text.pak
- extract MMH55_texts.pak on top of it.
- Extract a few other MMH55 folders (I have to document them).
Run the scripts and voala we have full skillwheel in english.
So if I take text.pak and MMH55_texts.pak in Polish we can get a translation without a lot of hassle.

 Version 1.1 released!
Download is now available on moddb
This is mostly a maintenance release that addresses some bugs and issues.
Most prominent features here are the ability to switch between English and Russian language (thanks to Uraabk and Serega from the Russian forum) and the change of app size to fit laptop size resolution. A how-to-translate guide is in the works so stay tuned!

added - artifact pane - The knowledge value at the moment of forging is now shown in the forged micro artifacts in brackets.
added - artifact pane - Artifact cost is now shown in brackets next to its name.
added - spell pane - better curse and bless hover description as well as prediction vs spellpower.
added - hero pane - Delete button added. The user can remove hero profiles from the "Choose a preset" pane.
added - town pane - "Duel mode" and "Known issues" sections.
added - town pane - Ability to change the size of the app size to fit laptop resolution (requires a restart) so it can fit laptop screens.
added - town pane - Ability to change application language
added - town pane - added a preview of for "Duel Mode" and new category for known ToTe issues that may cause game inconsistencies.
changed - global - right clicking on attributes that can be edited by the user now increase by 10 instead of being reduced by 1.
changed - global - Vivaldi font was changed with for 1-Vivaldi because it did not support cyrillic letters.
changed - global - font settings can be changed according to the loaded language pak. The settings are found in PROPERTIES directory of the pak file.
changed - global - minor design adjustments so the app items do not look ugly based on language text length.
changed - spell pane - Spell/Warcries/Rune data visualization is now presented into more pragmatic and visually pleasing way.
fixed - spell pane - Warcries clicked information was wrong.
fixed - spell pane - % values no longer go negative or above 100% (ressurect, raise dead, curse, bless, forgotfulness, celestial shield, deflect arrows) except where it is valid in the game formula.
fixed - spell pane - Conjure phoenix description and prediction is now shown properly when clicked/hovered.
fixed - spell pane - fire trap damage and mine count were reversed
fixed - creature pane - portraits for some creatures were inversed (Wyvern and the Foul Wyvern, and the Spectre and the Ghost, Djinn and Djinn Sultan)
fixed - hero pane - text was not displayed properly on the "save hero" tooltip.

Anything about the issue where the manual immediately asks runtime to close it in windows 7?

I am using the same Shoes framework as in the previous version so it is very likely the same issue to appear.
Do you have Visual studio, ruby, ruby on rails or anything developer-like installed ?
Can you give me a screenshot of the error?

No. I toyed with the idea of installing some, but that didn't go anywhere.

Weird. I do not know what can be the problem here. For the last year I've had very few complaints regarding execution issues and all of them were for Windows 10. All of them related to shared libraries between some developer tools installed and the shoes compiler.
I am really baffled here and I am not sure what can I do.
One last thing - does event viewer shows any errors?

Nothing related. I even tried to start the manual again with event viewer out and it didn't register in any way.

Do not use it to start the app with event viewer. Just start the app normally and when it fails open event viewer -> application and check the logs for error messages. Those can prove helpful.

Any way that the Skill Wheel is easy to edit in the case of personal mods? (I'm not sure even how to edit it at all, nevermind having it be easy.)

Editing the wheel can be roughly separated to three parts.
1. Stats - modding creature stats and available spells, classes available secondary skills and primary skills value, separate heroes starting skills, spells stats (level, school, damage, growth per sp), artifacts and mini artifacts stats, adding new heroes, classes, spells. All of this is done by editing the application SQLite database and requires minimal knowledge in databases. Google it. The db can be found in <app_folder>/settings/skillwheel.db
2. Texts - Each text field in the app comes from <app folder>/texts/en.pak file. This is an archive, you can open it and modify it freely. I've tried to keep a good folder structure so you can find and edit what you need fast enough.
3. Other - Everything else can be done only by editing the code itself. For example what is going to be the number one question is:
"How to make the skill wheel looks like in ToTe?"
The answer is that you cant, the wheel is currently codded in the same pattern that repeats for each skill which is that each skill has 3 perks branches, and each perk branch can be up to 3 levels deep. Also each skill is restricted to up to 3 perks that can be picked up.
Because the wheel itself is not made with any pre-ready command or framework utility and everything regarding it is crafted by matematical formulas it will be very hard to edit for someone who does not understand coding or basic math (geometry). Frankly it will be easier to do that part from scratch.
However I dont want to stop anyone from helping out - anyone is free to look at the code which can be found in <app folder>/main.rb file or the latest one github. Just open it with any text editor and you are good to go.

I wonder if it's the best place for bugs. Anyway, if you minimize the manual you will not be able to scroll, as the slider which scrolls will disappear.
Also, one suggestion: it would be incredibly convenient if spell formula would be written under the description.

Try clicking and holding the mouse near the right corner, in-between the minimize buttons.
Regarding some people having issue with mouse pointer being off.
Try the following fix.
Right click app EXE-> compatibility -> disable desktop rendering/ fullscreen optimization
