Hero leveling ERM script.

My idea is give hero new skill not in all lvl but in eg. only pair lvl 2,4,6,8 etc. , or 3+ 3(+)... lvl 3,6,9,12,15...
Because we can developed hero only to 20 lvl. Next only numbers. Good thing will be slowly growth.

Which skill? Primary, secondary? He gets every 2 levels both and the next none?

both primary and secondary:
so to instead of amount of experience to get lvl2 1000, lvl3 2000, lvl4 3200, lvl5 4600 ...would be lvl2 2000, lvl3 4600, lvl4 8000, lvl 5 12200 or double amount of experience of original levels...

Of course I mean about ability skills non numbers. Statistic limit is 99 and its enough but we have only 22 lvl ability skills because 2 are on start. If we learn in huts, trees etc fast we have 24 before 20 lvl, all full slot and thats end off development.
Numbers like old ability skills slower ...

it could be done. there is a mod which disables auto-leveling and added own dialog for level outcome. you may tweak it to do nothing on parity levels and something on odd levels ... or something like this.

There is Era Mod called Advanced Level Up which allow players to choose both Primary and Secondary Skills.

I know this mod.
I think about something like this
1lvl + 1 attack
2lvl + 1 deffence and diplomacy
3lvl + 1 att
4lvl + 1def and ballistics
5lvl + 1 power
6lvl + 1 att and diplomacy2
7lvl + 1 def
etc etc
In this case we can learn secondary skills to 40 lvl not only 20 lvl. And we must think what to change or learn first.

Another script. Zero secondary skills on hero start. All hero has his own skill. They dont need two started. They can learn it. Leveling will be longest. Is possible simply skill for all heroes? Or it must be for each one?
Now we have xxl maps and skill leveling is too short. In campaign was too short always. We need more levels. 5 minimum. 10 will be enough. In WoG 10 skils x 10 levels = 100. Heroes IV - 20 x 5 = 100.

With erm you can create any pattern of additional skills, not only based on experience, but on successful actions hero performed. As flag x mines, spot x artifacts, win x battles (as I did in TEW4), kill x heroes, kill a certain number of x monster (like Bounty Hunter mod), capture x number of towns, and so on. Then give for every of those achievements a particular reward, as movement, damage, scouting radius, morale, resources, artifacts etc.

This is almost what Sagamosa mod does, unfortunately he didn't have enough time to complete it. Ambitious projects.

Baronus, you have a very good idea. I see myself that heroes advanced too fast and then nothing happen. It will be wonderful to have such mod.

Heroes 4/5 way of leveling up was great idea. Not only you learn skill but also perks.

Yes HIV is better but we must repair it in heroes III. Adding new abilities is very hard. But there is only 3 levels. 10 lvls is enough. Eg each lvl give bonus 10%. 10lvl = 100%. You cant develop all, and you must select. Another way is easiest.
If its pair lvl your choise is between two primary skills.
If its unpair lvl between two secondary.
Now you can build hero to about 40 - 45 lvl. Still short but much, much better. And gameplay will be hardest because hero will be weak than now. Its good because fight contra AI is easy.
