Nah! Except for the travel spells Water is already the second best school, I don't care about what the PvP people say.

I find Inferno as good town.

Pyre if she had Logistics specialty she would be best Inferno Hero with Ayden(Intelligence specialty)

Devils should have 27 Attack, 27 Def, 250 HP, constant 40 DMG and cost 4000 Gold + 2 Mercury.

Even in SOD Archdevils can beat Rampart or Dungeon Dragons. Not being immune to magic, have benefits and side effects.

2nd best no-retaliation creature

I think,  that Inferno could be faster variant of Stronghold. Less cost of units, more attack and dmg. Inferno speed is good enough.

Arch Devils already beat in 1:1 match-ups everything except Archangels and those sea monsters from HotA and Devils are pretty much the best unupgraded level 7 in similar scenarios. They don't need further boosts beyond what HotA already gave them with the introduction of negative Luck. Their only major weakness is the vulnerability to direct-damage spells due to the relatively low HP. Not sure which is "the best" non-retaliation creature but when it comes to cutting through swarms or slow neautrals relatively early on, nothing better comes to mind.

Arch Devil is without a doubt the worst 7.th level creature considering cost of its dwelling and itself. At least Ghost Dragon is a lot cheaper and has some magic immunities.

It is also true that Arch Devil can beat even Black Dragon in 1v1 but in frontal battles how long could Archdevil last with its 200 HP and very low damage output despite even being more expensive than Dragons?

I don't think they need any buffs at all, especially not in HotA. That -2 luck is a really powerful ability, plus very high speed and no retaliation. Their damage might be low, but they have high attack and defense and if you convert all that defense to attack with Frenzy, they hurt a lot. Their HP is low, but they are still more durable than Ghost Dragons and Phoenixes.
Seems like Inferno is still an underrated faction.

The dwelling might be slightly overpriced but the creature itself is worth every penny, especially in HotA. The low HP are a problem against spells, vs. other creatures the high Defense rating compensates (only the Archangels have higher and they are ridiculous anyway). When it comes to early attacks on strong neutrals which guard powerful artifacts or block important passages, nothing comes even close.

I think curse and bless should affect good towns much more than it does on evil towns.

Griffin damage should be 2-7 while hell hounds should be 4-5 or 3-6

I agree arch angels have 50 dmg though, cuz they cant get cursed, and they already are 100% blessed.


this change itself will encourage castle to have water magic, and encourage inferno to cast curse on castle units.

inferno will also start to win CasteVsInferno tests.

Also town portal. in my imagination these two spells are nearly the same and in other games they represent the forbidden magics, and used to summon demons from the other worlds!

what I can never understand is why would anyone need mass haste instead of mass prayer, other than for Mighty Gorgons (even they dont need if have tactics)

Vampire Lords, they have no retalation and they can regenate from life drain.
Devils with 4000 gold + 2 mercury would be better. I dont think Forsaken Palace is overpriced, i find out that getting devils even at 200% difficulty is much more afforable then angels at castle or Dragons in Rampart/Dungeon.

Devils are capable in impossible fights where hou need good strategy. They work excelent with Force Field and Anti-Magic spells.

come on, man. You don't use sacrifice on imps. You don't even carry those things with you in the battle

You sacrifice your demons / pit lords to resurrect the devils.

from a math pov you may be right (prayer makes more sense), but I always prefer mass haste over prayer because bigger speed and cheaper mana cost. Besides, in the games that I play an extra +2 ATT and DEF won't help too much (I usually fight opponents who have +10 more ATT and DEF than me), whereas +1 extra speed will help me act before his nasty creatures (hell hydras are the bane of my existence in WoG)
