How to play multiplayer HD mod?
Hi guys, I've been trying to set up a game with my brother via Hamachi, but we can't. We have Heroes 3 Complete installed and run the HD mod. We have our Hamachi IPs on the TCP/IP lobby in the game, so Hamachi is active. We can Ping each other, so there is a Hamachi connection. I am running Windows 10, he is with Windows 7. He has put Hamachi connection on top so it has top priority over other network connections. But every time me or him tries to make a game, the other player can't join. There is no active game in the lobby, we search for a game and type each others Hamachi IP, but after thinking for a while, it time outs... We have allowed everything from the firewall settings - Hamachi files, H3 files - everything. We also tried disabling our firewalls - still nothing. Could it be something from our router settings, static/dynamic IPs? Shouldn't Hamachi just overrun everything?

What about built-in online lobby than hamachi?

Are you talking about the HD mod lobby? I think it is a paid option with monthly membership?

No, it's not (only for SoD, as avatar said). Also, if it gives errors, you might want to try TCP/IP, but only if it's unplayable on lobby.

Only for SoD players, for HotA users is free.

Guys, I tried to host a game from the lobby, but I get a message, that I need to be blessed to be able to host a game. And I can only get blessed if I donate 3$ per month. So it's not free as you said. As I posted in my first post - I use Heroes 3 Complete. Apparently it's not free for H3 Complete users. I don't want to play HOTA, because it has new buildings, monsters, etc. I am used to the original version and just wanted to play some games with my brother. Is there a way to do that with Hamachi or some other way?

We used to play TCP/IP when we lived together and used the same wifi signal. How can we play now? For example, can I play with you over TCP/IP? Just entering my bother's IP didn't work...
