It's simple Fredmuffin, 2 things.
You can't grab onto the hairdo when you're fighting one of these pant pissers. and two, majority of them have lice.

but you can cut your hair short enough that no one can grab it without buzzing/shaving it...
it can't be for instant identification/verification in street brawls, either, since black boots with white/red laces and tight clothes kind of stand out... it's not like you mistake them for someone else, ever.

No, this will not do. I will not tolerate anyone telling me to kill myself and act like nothing happened. Kip can cry and moan about me asking for your presence here, but it does not change the fact that it is you who can actually do anything about it. I know you're stuck between a rock and a hard place, but Kip is unwilling to talk like a grown up person. I request an unbiased mediator to pass the judgement. If you don't want to be a part of this, then let us take it to Val and be done with it once and for all.
