Information on treasure probabilities?
I found that we have lots of information on the probabilities and options of Heroes 3 objects, but almost none on Heroes 4.
For example, the Sea Chest.
Of Heroes 3 we know:
Quote:
Sea Chest is an adventure map object, that can be gathered by heroes. They can only be located on water squares, and therefore can only be picked up by heroes traveling in boats.
If your backpack is full, you will receive 1500 Gold and no artifact.
https://heroes.thelazy.net/index.php/List_of_adventure_map_objects_(HotA)
HotA:
Sea Chest: a water object which can give:
70% - 1500 Gold
10% - 1000 Gold and a treasure class artifact
20% - nothing at all
Disappears after being visited.
However of Heroes 4 we have no numbers, just this:
https://mightandmagic.fandom.com/wiki/Sea_chest
I would like to compile Heroes 4 probabilities for all Adventure treasure objects (not creature banks, those have a table anyone can read), and if possible Hex addresses to change them
If anyone has URLs or info, please post them here

I am, myself, a big fan of probability theory. Though its implications don't go very far if we speak of lazy and fun games played nowadays. But, there were precedents when people won key games using that ultimate knowledge. Very few of them, must I say, but stunningly beautiful, with cold math in mind.
I reviewed all the sources I know, and there is no such info even in Russian. Still, we have this page with animated objects from Heroes IV and some relevant info about them. Hope, it will be useful somehow in compiling a page about objects probabilities.

Thanks for the link. I am transcribing to wiki format.
Something happens with those stuff that gives me doubt however.
For example, the Sea Chest, I have only seen it give 1000 gold, 1500 gold, or 2000 gold. Never a treasure-class artifact like "normal" chests.
Can anyone confirm? With base game.
It is also possible this was changed in Equilibris.

How do Gold coins and swords just float in the ocean?

The gold coins are obviously fake and the swords might be wooden swords.

Well, at least my project of introducing different treasures, and landscape variations, to the ocean is going well...
