Save Editor for Heroes II
I'm recently playing Heroes 2, for nostalgic reasons Didn't played this game for a while... and for my surprise... oh boy, this game is hard, even on lower skills as a kid this game look way easier.
So a decided to play this game with cheats but as you know, not all cheats work.
So i decide to find a work around, and I thought about a "save editor" that gives me resources, units, artifacts etc...
For my surprise i didn't find anything to H2. Found for H1/3 and 4 but not 2
The only thing that i found was this:

On CelestialHeavens a user called Maximus, has created a H2 save editor, but the link is dead.
Those anyone here still has the editor? or ad least has a working link where i can download?

Good news!
Not dead! Forum after remont!
And still in progress!
Last update semptember 2023!
Very beauty look! First see so artistic save editor.
I must use. I edit saves using hdeditor because its easy but looking that wonderfull work I want to use it! But I only edit my mistakes on battle not to repeat battle again and again because there is not battle saving like H4. Yes very good game as all h1-4 and often better than H3!!! Is faster! H3 scenario is ,neverending'... :-)))

The easiest and safest way to cheat is to open the map you are planning to play in the map editor and add some resources for the faction you are playing. Those can be just 10 additional treasure chests, an additional city or mine. Or you can add a recurring event that provides additional resources every week.
That way you don't risk corrupting your save. While save editors are nice, you don't know if they have bugs or which version of the game they were made for.

Fastest way is :
F4

5 Black Dragons
...
If battle is to hard... You dont need save editing :-)))
But I only edit battle results if I failed some actions to not repeat battle because its boring.
Sometimes scenario is unvinable eg. Arrax.
Its not only nostalgia but very good game.
