Do you guys think that magic piercing will be Dungeon's faction skill again? It's fitting for them but it could be tricky if they have a might hero class and it ironically makes them the worst draccagedon users.

It's basically the same thing as H7 without the Strider. Which was already the same as H3 without harpies, beholders and manticores, the latter two were in the H6 lineup.

Yeah, it's set in Jadame, but we end up with Ashan-style Dark Elves...
I also agree, the Black Dragon should actually be black, not purple.
Overall, I'm okay with the lineup. Sure, something fresh would’ve been nice, but the last time Ubisoft tried something new, we ended up with disasters like the Strider. It might be unimaginative, but at least it's safe.

Yeah and that's the problem. In those games you could say they atleast tried something. Even the knights in H-VII managed to create a unique feel. This line-up and design is not only unfitting for the setting (As Galaad said, it's an Ashan faction in Enroth) but it's very un-inspired even for Ashan.
At Least with H V-VII they managed to add something new. A New design, new unit here and there or a New art style when they tried to represent new sub-factions. This is not only an uninspired Dungeon line-up. This is uninspired for an Ashan Dark Elf line up.. And that is a deep low.

I do start not to like overly detailed version of creatures. Even H5 units weren't oversaturated as these. The blocky-mobile like style doesn't go well.
Or I guess I just have to get used to it.

I definitely agree that the art style leaves a lot to be desired but it's so early on in development that a lot of the sprites could change, and with mod support I'm sure that fan made textures can replace the official ones.
I'm not sure if this has been pointed out or not, but in the screenshot Galaad posted you can see whether the creatures are based, upgraded, or alt upgrades by the 3 dots between the same and the sprite. It looks like the albino dragon is the alternate upgrade of the base dragon, for example, while the black dragon is the "default" upgrade. Both of the level 2's shown also seem to be the upgrades of what I assume is called an assassin or something when it's unupgraded.

Actually it looks like we can see all of the unupgraded creatures too in the bottom right corner where the growth is shown. At least the Troglodyte and the Minotaur are both clearly unupgraded in those pictures, it's harder to tell with the others.

Damage 10-20
Speed 9-11
Population/growth 4
Area attack (Cyclops in H4), shoots twice, poison arrow and forgetfulness immune..

The main thing is curved weapons that are distinct. Armoury differs literally with every faction to a degree.
Also, female dark elves were always half-naked anyway.

The art direction of the dark elves in Ashan and Jadame is distinguished not only by the shapes of their weapons and armor but also by their overall aesthetic vision. Jadame's design is grounded and practical, while Ashan’s is elaborate, mystical, and, in my view, visually overstated.
Focusing solely on curved weapons and varying armor types as the main differences is an oversimplification. The real distinction lies in the broader artistic choices that define each world setting. Combining elements from both can create a visually discordant effect.

That is true. However, better graphics better technology, they want to make those things ultra-detailed and oversaturated.
On the other hand, simplistic aesthetics would actually be a breath of fresh air.

I can only echo the posts of the people who are disappointed. While this lineup is not as bad as the major disappointment that was Heroes 7, this version of Dungeons feels "safe" and uncreative.
Hands down, the best Dungeon lineups so far were in Heroes 3 and 6.
Heroes 3 was a monster-heavy lineup deserving of the name "Dungeon".
Heroes 6 included all signature units minus the Medusa (which was already a Sanctuary creature). But most of all, H6 weaved together all creatures in a cohesive vision for its gameplay.
I don't care much about other H6 factions, but H6 Dungeon had some of the best gameplay and synergies found in all heroes.
But it was probably too much to ask for a high-quality lineup, and this one ranks itself more with the "meh" ones of H5 and H7.
