Well ath first I thought theat Strong Hold was the weakest town in the game but from this thread and all the tips I learn that its no all defense in this town what and they also have a offense to If u use it the right way even though there not my favorite town I can play with

FYI
are we still talking about best 3rd dwelling creature?
this might sound just like me since you probably know inferno is my favorite, but i think cerberi are best 3rd dwelling troops, they do awesome damage for 3rd dwelling, no retaliation, cheap, reusable, capable of withstanding the rough and tough of todays hazards, and best of all, tough stains dont stick to them!
sorry, i just got into the commercial mood.
the point is, cerberi are, in my opinion, the best 3rd level troops. they might be the best units in the game. not the strongest, but if you take into account the number you get every week (about 15 with the cages and castle) and the price of them (only about 200 gold) they really can whoop butt! NOTE: hell hounds suck. cerberi are good!

Stronghold I think is a very well balanced town.
Pros:Good heroes, heavy damege dealing, potential day 2 Behemoths if you start with Wolf Pen, very good special buildings.
Cons: Four walkers, only one actually fast creature, weakish level 7, no magic hero (Battle Mage is really about half-and-half.)

Of course that stronghold is great town. They are easy to play and their buildings are very cheap (except cyclops cave). They are best for small and medium maps, especialy if you play agressive(that's one of the best ways to play which is very good demonstrated in SOD campaigns).As for the behemots, they should definetly stay, 'cause they are only strongholds creature than can crush anything on it's way in any time.

Behemoths are Damn Strong!
Everyone thinks they are weaker because they can't fly or aren't super-fast! They are the best Tank creatures in the game. I would rather have one of those than an Archdevil, Chaos Hydras, or Ghost Dragons. But what will the other lv6 creature be for the Stronghold? I have no idea.

Behemoths
I say they're not that good, because
#1: They're by far the slowest level 7.
#2: They have a weak defensive rating.
So, it's pretty easy for a 2-shooter town to put a big dent in a Behemoth stack by the time it's across the field. And then it gets killed by any decent offensive stack.

Still Stronghold
First of all Necrogod is right Ancient Behemoths will defeat Black Dragons even 10 on 10 .
Second ColdFyrus is not right the slowest 7-th level creature is Chaos Hydra.
Third I belive that ancient Behemoths are not the best creatures as some say and are not the worst creatures as others say - for me , they're somewhere in the middle.
Fourth I do not think it takes an expert to play stronghold well, u just need to know the game a little , u don't have to be as experienced as LoveDoc to play with em.
And don't forget : Enjoy the game
