New Possibilities in Life
Isn't that a long time since I've made a thread about something other than the functioning of Heroes Community?
Isn't that funny how my avatar of Pasis has entirely depicted my personality in Heroes Community?
I've realised that me not posting things about myself has been another version of "I'm different" or "They are different" thing. That decision in my mind says that "they will not understand me" and for a long time it seemed to me that it was the reality. And that is how I acted. I haven't opened up or revealed my intentions, did not do what I wanted to do because it wouldn't be understood or accepted, and didn't say what I wanted to say for the same reason. And what I got was precisely what I believed in, nobody understands me and nobody accepts me for who I am. I just recently it occured to me. How can I possibly be understood and accepted for who I am if I don't say what I feel like saying and do what I feel like doing? If I don't show MYSELF.
What I reckon is that I was just too scared to gain form and shape by taking a stand for my views and opinions through expressing them. Because if I show myself then I might not be liked for what I am! ... So what? Is everyone in the world supposed to like me? Nah. What if someone doesn't like me? Well, if I don't show myself, then nobody will like me, because there will be nobody for them to like, and they won't like that.
That's how I acted in here, and in all of my life. And it's been pretty suck. So I begin here. It is now possible. I show myself. And who I am here is someone who will take my own advice before giving it.
I give up being a distant admin who monitors HC, and I take on being an admin who is a part of the community! You can hold me responsible to this.
And to think of it, there will always be people who don't like what I am. Why was I scared of them? Because they might be right! When are they right? When I think they are right. So what I'm afraid of is not people not liking who I am, but me not linking who I am as a result of that.
So that's my possibility, tell me yours!

No point in just sitting on your hands when you can use them to type what it is your thinking, even if you use two fingers like me lol.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and as long as everyone else here realises that it is just there own opinion we would all get along fine.
I like to have a joke as much as the next person but I'm not out to hurt anyone it's all in good fun.
Personally I think we all need to lighten up in here we are only gamers having a chat about this and that, not world leaders debating future events.

I have to admit when i first started being a moderator (elsewhere) I used to get sensitive over any posts that indicated they might not like me or are making fun of me in some way. However am I so over it. I like who am I, so do not really care what others think of me. How my friends and family feel about me are very important, but to the rest of the world I understand we are all unique individuals, and if we were all the same or equally likable then omg how dull would life be.
When I first started posting I felt I should create some role for myself however over time I just couldnt help being me so now what you get is who I am. We all need to be true to ourselves and should not be afraid to express who we are, sure we will make enemies but we will aslo gain some great friends along the way........
Dont worry about what others think Just get out there and be it

as for me... well, i am "Lith Maethor" in everything except the race... full bred human here... ...never hid my views.. and I try to keep a clear mind ...even if sometimes my fingers are itching to flame a poster or two  ...anyway... good to see you decided to join the living... especially since i'll be away for a month or so...

Changes.
Sometimes change can change a persons personality.
Sometimes it changes thier lifestyle.
Sometimes you become hated.
Sometimes you become more loved.
Sometimes it makes them more scared.
Sometimes it makes them more happy.
Sometimes it's for the better.
SOmetimes for the worst.
SOmetimes you ask yourself "do i have to change", why?
Will it make my life better.
Will I ever see myfriends again.
Will my lifestyle which I been living for yrs change.
Will I hate others which I learned to love all my life.
Shall I have a baby when I am this young.
How much will it change my life & lifestyle.
Will I still be able to have fun?
What about love.
Can it change my life too.
What about my friends.
Can friends affect what my lover thinks about them?
WHat about personal thoughts.
How you change your life can it affect the way you think?
There are so many ways change can change your life may it be better or worst.
It's a gamble we have to take.
So before we make a big decision.
THINK.
Listen to your family & friends & take it in perspective with your other thoughts so you wont have to see your family & friends go through what I seen my friends go through.
If you care about who you love then you will sit down & talk with them.

Nah seriously, i think most of you knows that i am a person that speaks up for my opinions by now. In one way or another you will almost always hear my opinion about something. But i like to speak like this: If i feel something is wrong i will say so, not go behind someones back and give comments there. Thats cowardly.

Well Rainbow, as we all learned, if there is any abuse of power, Blackie or Night takes it away... as we still have the power, well... we must be good (and it has nothing to do with me giving Blackie a lapdance)

People come and people go and it's always worth seeing what come out of any decision. When an egg hatches, a fluffy little chick can come outta it, or a crocodile. I'm hoping the "new, made over" Val will be more like the croc...lol
There is something to be said for the Autharian disipline of "Right Vs. Might". The Admin of the site does not need to be a mysterious and almost dictatorial figure, just like the mods. Provided people are encouraged to adhire to the rules of common decency, an iron rule is not nescessarily needed. However, a forgive and forget policy can also only go so far. However, a degree of despostism is needed to make sure people keep to the rules of common sense and within the bounds of decency. This is a Val-ocracy, not democracy, and at the end of the day he could tell everybody here to go to hell if he so wished. That is always worth remembering when you make a post. Whether he does or not is immaterial. The fact that he CAN should make it enough.
We shall see what we shall see. Hopefully, a less enigmatic admin may have the calming effect needed, or i may bring out the worst in some of the troublemakers,or it may do nothing. It will be an interesting experiment to see.
And speaking of sucking up.. where's that wand...?

well..i actually don't agree on that..ok..so he started this site and he made the rules and all the other stuff..but this would be nothing if it weren't for us people coming here to visit..And I personally think we know have come to know this forum better than it's creator..so it's actually not right to give Val all the credit for what good things have been happening here..
We make this forum..not Val
I just thought of something..
There are people who say God will make us happy or sad..and here I put it very simple..
But I for one figured out God let's us decide for ourselves what to do..and that is a great gift..
I realize it's a bit overdone to compare this to something larger than life ..but I see a resemblance nonetheless
So what are we? a bunch of mindless sheep following "god" (who may as well be joking and toying with us) or are we strong individuals who are not afraid to speak their minds and try new things?
We all have our own sets of principles and if someone crosses a line well..what must be done about it?
I don't know..but who is to say Val or "God" for that matter knows..
oh well..just talking to a brick wall here I guess

I appreciate honesty, and I appreciate responsibility. If you start honestly hating and beating everyone, that is not responsible. Just an example, not a refference to anyone.
I like bort's analogy. Like HC is a little house that I've built and pay the bills for. Without members the house would be empty walls, so there would be no fun having it and being in it. People come, make things happen inside these walls and it's nice to have that inside my house. My house is your house if it's more fun for us both this way. But if someone makes a mess in my house or starts shouting at guests and driving them away, it is unpleasant. So I don't want people who do that in my house because it makes me feel like not being there. And it makes other people feel like not being there. The fun goes away. It may be fun for the offender, but the house owner and the housekeepers have the final say in what is allowed.
There is no way we can watch everyone's every move and stop them from doing what we don't like. They can make a mess, they can drive the guests away. It would be a lie to say that they can't. But if they do it, we will ask them to either change their behaviour to suit our house or to find another house to suit their behaviour.
And if someone does what we don't like, it doesn't mean they are wrong, or that they shouldn't act like that, it just has the consequence of us not wanting them here, and taking required actions to make sure they don't do what we don't like in our place.
If you don't like the rules of the house, noone is holding you in the house, in fact we want you to find a house that allows more of what you like to do.

Romana is correct in a sense in that the life blood of a site is its users they create the dynamic..
but cat is also correct
If i was the owner and woke up day after day to ppl snowing and moaning about rights then i would simply log to my server select all and hit delete and where would your community be then...
so i think what is needed here is a little respect for each others roles and responsibilites and i agree with Val it is up to you to make this community Val cannot come in here and wave a magic wand
Ok pply say so what we will move to another forum if thats your attitude go now you are of no value here if you believe that winning the war is more important than the forums continued existance and or harmony
1. the posts in the library are nothing more than pathetic spam and not good spam at that
2. the issues are out in the open now
3. That should be the end to it
It is now up to Valeriy and the Mods and Admins to decide if you dont like the result leave

As for you HALT, i reckon you still are a n00b at this game and therefor dont really know what its about. But take my word for this, if someone around this place are to use Hack as an avatar it should be Andi. Emperor last season in TOH says some of it, and just the fact that you wont find a better stronghold player around. No matter how hard you search for one.
