and why not season 5 ? are games played season 4 worth more ? didnt me and many others played countless game too this season ? is it just becasue a minority complained ? did in former seasons noone complain ?
why not say it rightaway that toh season 5 gonna be closed suddenly if someone complians ...i bet me and other players wouldnt have played any toh games then..
sure it easy to say "andi and xarfax are to blaim" but they didnt push he "reset " button and destroyed all games of all 3000 players...no it was definaltly not em....

Jinxer, too bad u cant understand what people think about this action to stop TOH H3 so sudden without any explanation, it feel like we are being attacked from the back, we weren't warned about anything and suddenly it ends. I had very much enjoyment of playing H3 in TOH and I really dont like H4 and still wanna play H3, while the TOH is very nice and I dont wanna play Myths, so what will happen?? Many people will play H3 and will report like they did play a H4 game, and even won't feel bad about it. Why..... cause u guys dont seem to feel bad to stop without any explanation or whatever and stop what 95% of 3000 people enjoyed. And if u think that this wont happen u are pretty naive, cause it will, like there will always be fakereporters, mapeditors etc. ofcourse eventually they will be caught and thats good, but people will keep trying. So I think a good solution would be to have the new TOH season play H4 games and H3 together, and u can use extra points for H4 games, then I think more people will just report honestly like they are supposed to.
But if u want to play the next season without me because I said 1 thing on the community, then u are doing the same as Ves did by stopping TOH cause Andi and Xarfax and maybe others tossed.
Maybe a better idea is to stop heroescommunity cause it seems to bring out many discussions and angre.

If only H4 is allowed I say goodbye to all players and wanna thank them for all the nice games. Also wanna thank Ves for the organisation, and Mel for putting me on main photopage  nd even Jinxer (when he even is flaming me because of 1 post) for the many tournements he was voluntering (I almost thanked u every report I did on every clan/div, and tourney).
If still H3 continues.....cya soon guys

The whole opening of season 5 Heroes 3 was wrong on so many levels.. Timing is everthing!
I have found thru my limited experience that:
If you set up a stand on a busy street and give away $100 dollar bills..... Some people will complain. Some people will ALWAYS complain.
Most of us would have closed ToH a long time ago if it belonged to us. We wouldnt have put up with the crap that Ves has thru the years. You may have noticed that many other Heroes sites have folded in the past..... this is why.
90% of the members of any organization have to live with the negative bullsh1t generated by 10% of the disgruntled
unhappy members. These are the 10% who want to "overthrow" their Kindergarden, High School, University, Business Government or whatever organization they are connected with. Add to those numbers the idiots who dont even OWN a Heroes game but feel the need to post their wisdom on a board dedicated to Heroes players. Then you always have the few seriously demented people who need professional help. We dont even KNOW what their agenda is for the most part except they seem to like those little stars under their names.
You can find these people at websites for the trade of Beanie Babies or Planned Parenthood or County Supervisor meetings or AA or AAA or even Heroes sites. Where ever people gather, there they are.
Anyway... We will always have those 10%'rs. The only really effective method to deal with them is to ignore them.
There will be plenty of Heroes 4 players Ves....
And 90% of them will be ok!

Xarfax didn't toss. That was a serious post. I agreed with him/her.
Second:
That's a great idea, TheVinz! Boycott Heroes 4 TOH. Or find another Heroes 4 tournament.Everyone who wants to play Heroes 3 should keep on playing and report it for TOH like they are playing Heroes 4.
I've liked the effort of TOH supporters in the past. They really do a lot to run this thing, but why the hell would anyone just throw away an entire season.
To me, it's the same thing as baseball going on strike. If that happens, I'll never watch the game again. And I'm a die hard Redsox fan. It's the same thing as what Ves did. There are die hard Heroes 3 TOH fans out there and Ves went on strike.

I dont wanna boycot the new TOH, all I try to reach is that we maybe can combine H3 and H4 and all united, so all players can do what they like, maybe to make H4 more important by giving bonuspoints for H4.
I agree that it feels like a strike of Ves, but then again its his tourney and he can do what he wants, too bad we all get victem of it.

I haven't posted here or played much heroes in a while, but i have been reading the board from time to time - and its really become pretty sad.
My first reaction was, wow, why did rob close toh? But then i thought about it, and really all he did was pull the plug on a season that he had never meant to have happen in the first place. It must be so frustrating for him to have put so much effort into preparing for H4 ToH and have all these countless delays etc from 3DO - and then to give in and start a new season just for the players and get met back with so much negativity constantly on the board.. well i'd imagine he just got fed up with it.
I find it almost funny to see the reaction of so many here, as tho ToH was their birthright as opposed to a privelage. Vesuvius has never HAD to do anything he has done, all the improvements he made to the site, all the hours he has put in - but he did it anyways. And maybe because he has been doing it for so many years without fail, you've come to take it for granted , and that's a real shame.
See some of you in Heroes 4

Ofcourse I have nothing personal agasint you. It is just you openly proclaimed that you were planning on breaking the reporting rules for next season!!???!??!?! That was the heart and soul of Xarfax initial post that HC needed to buckle down and start doing something about people who break rules/cheat/fakereport/multipleaccounts etc. And the minute I suggest banning a player that has openly procliamed he plans on cheating you accuse me of making a hastly decision.
Bottom line is IF you like Heroes 3 as much as you proclaim then you will play in Myths. If you are that picky then you dont like Heroes3 and much as you say.
I personally dont like H4 much either. I get bored to death with it. The main reason is the LACK of town creatures. Sure there is 2 per level but in a battle you cant take both level 2's etc. so your army is made up of 4 units and a hero kinda boring in my opinion. ANyways back to subject::
Forexample AndiAngelSlayer refused to let Aculias host a Undiscovered Worlds tourny becasue Aculias told Andi that he was planning on alering editing the map beyond what the administrators of the tourny had made them. Now would you let someone host if they told you to your face they was gonna edit map??? No just like any TOH administrator would NEVER let a play participate in TOH if and when a player tell your they are planning on cheating. Doesnt that make sense?
btw thanks for your apprication of my volunteering, would have loved to seen it in every game report  But even now it is much appricated. Thanks Vinz, and I hope things all go well for you in what ever you decide to play in the future.

I wont play H4, so wont play TOH.
I dont like myths, so dont play myths
I wanna play H3 in TOH so hoped my post would make u guys see that there are so much guys who want to play H3 in TOH and that would stimulate H4 reports on H3 so that in my opinion the best solution is to combine H3 and H4, but then again I maybe could have better not posted it here, and just asked Vesuvius, but thats too late I guess.

actually vinz idea aint that bad with playing h3 for h4 some games...even if it may be not honorable, but if you are forced to...know what i mean?
but for me thats no question, i would feel too dumb doing that, i got other leagues i can play in

I see you also like to bring thangs in public to ruin my reputation Jinxer but why dont you tell thy whole story.
First of all Mel everyone has their own point of views.
I mean everyone that knows Ves or respects him knows how he is feeling but Dictator is such a big word.
I think that people are so Jealous of Vincent (Thy Vinz) that they will do anythang to try to catch him off guard to get him into HOS or somethang negative.
Yes Jinxer I did ask Andi if I can check thy map out to see if everythang was ok.
I for one like to see an even fun game with my 2 good friends & I told ANdi that.
Only because of how Motor got screwed when he made his thread on your tournament you didnt even come up with.
All I got was talked down & swore at & everythang by Andi & we talked about it was supposed to be dropped but you had to go on here & tell everyone I wanted to edit, Hell ya I wanted to check it out incase ANdi screwed up like he did on Motors map so that game will be based on skill then accidently leaving one person poor & another rich for example.
I think that is also why you broke your promise to me twice Jinxer.
Once about I think Dec or January & IN your tournament you lied to me because you have a grudge still even though you said we can start over & I was willing until you posted your example crap.
So lets see what 2 lies you did I will go back to I think Dec or Jan when I asked you for a game I was still kind of new you said sure.
Then that day came & I reminded you & you said you were busy & not 2 min later you asked someone else for a game that you knew.
Sure that is fine.
Now that New world Tourney which I missed you said If other didnt play I or another can take his place.
I reminded I was availible so many times & you said others were waiting & when I last saw AK,Tewilligar & Lecky all got Forfieted & I could of played AK even though chances are i would lose or Lecky or Big John Havok, that was another that you broke but I think it was only me I dont think others were involved I think you judge me too much.
You tell me you judge a person on their games from thier attitude from HC & Zone talk.
Let me tell you somethang there are many honerable players that say have fun or even talk smack but not in thier games, example Andi I hear he is very honerable in his games & dont affect how he is on HC or zone same to like Motor he is one of honerable players I played even though Andi came to me 3 days after our game saying he heard I sucked on a map I didnt play in almost a yr.
SO many honerable nice spoken players that you misjudge Jinxer because you are so judgemental about thier attitude on ZOne & HC.
Think what you will you have your own group to play & I have mine.
On another note I( think Myths wont let us down & we are all flaming each other because we all lost what we loved & most hate what is coming.
We all know that we forced Ves into opening this season & he kept us busy while STILL waiting for heroes 4 which is a let down still some of you wanted more & more & more.
PATIENCE, we shall see what is going to happen.
Xar & ANdi did not change Ves mind completely it just had him close down season earliar because some for ungrateful & complained too much for never being satisfied.

3. Darn just as I was gonna win both random tourneies.
Iīm kinda dissapointed tho, so heres what I think:
1. We play homm3, and need a ranking system for it to be fun to win points, and toh ranking system was nice.
2. There are other things to do.
3. Homm 4 sucks.
So what we can do is:
Join myths or something else, but they have a BAD ranking system. Itīs a "lalala Im so nice a sweet, I get points for loseing  " my-little-pony-meets-barbie kinda ranking system. Itīs not for us.
So, if anyone wants to start a new tourney with a dynamic rankings system to replace toh (heroes 3) make sure you post it so I can find it.
I kinda quit a few weeks anyway. :/

oki guys..I justed wanted to say..I don't think it's fair to blame Andi or Xarfax for the closing of ToH..I mean ..don't jump to conclusions here when you don't know the whole story.
I'm not saying I know the story but I happen to like Xarfax and Andi too(did I say that?)
uhmm..What I mean to say..I'm sure all of you at one point had critisism on how ToH was run and well..all I can do is guess that Andi and Xarfax were the drop that overflowed the bucket.
Instead of complaining and pointing fingers it might be better if you guys did something constructive about this ..If that's even possible that is..
Ofcourse it is a shame it had to end like this but think of it rather of a fresh start than the end of ToH.
Almost every one of you claimed to not care about points and ranks ..or am i wrong here..so what exactly is the problem? We can all still play heroes3 online if we want to can't we?

I was thinking I didnt want to say this but I feel I should.
I think that Ves didnt want season 5 at all he wanted heroes 4 but didnt have thy heart to say so.
I mean come on there was always flaming about HC & HOS etc but I think this was his ticket to close this season to prepare for heroes 4.
We all knew this but dont want to admit it.
It's not Andis or Xars fault.
It is what Ves always wanted I mean he hinted us all this time.
So dont blame those two just deal with it

Sad news for ppl though, i didnt realize that toh was being cloned for heroes3, that is there would be two separate toh's one for each game. But the project was cancelled yesterday.... and for good reason. Would u pay $900 for this project after this?
I was calculating some stuff:
season 1 thru 3 server & domain costs $50/month x about 20 months = $1000
season 4 till present server & domain costs $100/month x about 12 months = $1200
new custom automation & admin device season4 to present about $4000
the 12 heroes4 prizes sent out at end of season 4 cost him $570
other cash prizes over the seasons total about $800.
Total: ToH costs to date about $7600.00. lots of money, no?
forget the man hours of course
oh yes um he has $240,000 in student loans to pay.
