But Spell icon says "C H A R M ". And description says: It acts like hipnotize, but only for one round. You see it is an ability, not a spell, like Squire's "Stun" (lvl.2.Order), or or or... or Arrow of spider webbing (or whatever it calls) acts like "Bind" (lvl.3.Order.Restrics flying and halves movement and speed to flying creature).

It seems that all the questions are already answered. Nevermind, here are some new ones (concerning mainly the Map Editor):

1. When and why continuous event is more powerful than triggerable event (use examples if you like)?

2. Here is a placed event that will call a triggerable event in the maps page.

Give Money (Placed Event): Trigger Custom Event Named Give Money, Trigger Custom Event Named Give Money.

A. Give Money (triggerable event):
(Sequence) Give 1000 gold for the Current Player,
Remove Script, Trigger Custom Event Named Give Money.

B. Give Money (triggerable event):
(Sequence) If GiveMoney then Do Nothing else (Sequence) Give 1000 gold for the Current Player, Set GiveMoney = False, Trigger Custom Event Named Give Money

C. Give Money (triggerable event):
Give 1000 Gold for the Current Player.

D. Give Money (triggerable event):
If Quantity of Gold Current Player Owns > 0 then Give 1000 Gold, Trigger Custom Event Named Give Money Else Do Nothing

Note that the letters in bold are in the first sequence. While letters in italics are in the second "sequence", in example they are in the then and else parts of conditional action.

Which is the correct triggerable event and why others are "broken"?

3. What is the maximum number of spell points single hero can have?

4. Does Tactics skill affect Cloned and/or Summoned and/or Raised creatures?

More later, perhaps.

By the way, I noticed that there haven't been single correct answers to this question:
What is the bigest growth in the game(base growth that is) and what creature is that?

Correct answer is Leprechaun not Peasant. Their base growth in Creature Portal is 50.

Personally I find triggerable scripts far better because you can rerun them. Continous are better only in scripts that handles days like "hold a town for a month".

Actually, main part of that question was when not why. Let me ask it again.

When is a continuous event more powerful than triggerable event? And why?

I hope it is a bit clearer now. The question didn't asked for opinion, only for knowledge.

2. B looked to be the most promising alternative. Several of the others would give money every thime they were triggered.

3. I don't think spellpoints are limited. You can pick up bonuses from Gems and Sacred fountains to increase the value. So limitation might be an unsigned 16 bit integer or something like that.

4. I'm fairly certain it affect Summoned creatures (at least).

"Correct answer is Leprechaun not Peasant. Their base growth in Creature Portal is 50."

The base growth is for their normal dwelling, not the creature portal. And hmm didn't they grow with 100 per week in the portal?

Well, it seems that you are right. Thanx, I didn't know that!

And now an attampt to answer Thunder's question. But that map editor isn't really my cup of tea...

1. When and why continuous event is more powerful than triggerable event (use examples if you like)?

I would use continuous events to keep creature growth under control. You can use triggerable events too, but they will of course only work from the moment that they are triggered, which you often do not want.

2. Here is a placed event that will call a triggerable event in the maps page.
Which is the correct triggerable event and why others are "broken"?

I guess B is correct.
A keeps giving money, as does C.
D doesn't give money if the player already has some.

3. What is the maximum number of spell points single hero can have?

Obviously, the hero should be skilled at all magic schools. This gives him +50 spell points per school = 250 total. He doesn't get a spell point increasing advanced bonus then. The hero starts with 10 spell points. The crown of the supreme magi gives 40 extra. The wizard's ring adds 5(?). I am probably forgetting an artifact, but now the hero has a total of 305 spellpoints. He can visit a mana vortex for 610 spell points. Since that mana vortex isn't cumulative with the one in a chaos town, the maximum is 610, I guess. Or maybe I am forgetting about the grail?

4. Does Tactics skill affect Cloned and/or Summoned and/or Raised creatures?

Yes, although clones and undead do not profit from the extra moral that leadership grants.

I disagree. In a leprechaun dwelling, you can only recruit 22 of them weekly. Admittedly, you can recruit 100 leprechauns weekly in a creature portal, but this number isn't based upon growth, but upon the experience that a creature is worth. That's why I think that peasant is the correct answer.

2.They are: Life - "Guardian Angel","Sanctuary","Rebirth","Ressurection","Divine Intervenation"(Potion of Immortality).
Nature - "Sum.Mantis","Dragon Strenght","Sum.Phoenix","Sum.Faerie Dragon","Sum.Devil",(maybe "Sum.Gargantuan").
3.Centaur
4.Evil Eye
5.Black Dragon growth.1, Mermaids and Sea Monsters (they have growth 0).

Yippee, more questions! . My answers:

1.What's the only alingment that has 6 level 5 spells.
If a level 5 spell is a spell that costs 12 spell points or more, the answer is: death.

2.What spells are those?

Raise vampires, sacrifice, hand of death, summon ice demon, summon venom spawn, summon devil.

3.What's the l1 creature that has a several growth(5-9)?
Centaur

4.What creature is a random spellcaster?
Evil eye. Btw, a magic hero controlled by the AI isn't far from a random spellcaster either

5.What creatures have a growth below 2?
Depends what you mean by growth. The black dragon is one answer, obviously. Mantis may be another since you can get less than 2 weekly from the creature portal, but their growth actually is 2. Sea monster and mermaid cannot be hired, so you could say their growth is 0.

"Sum.Ice Demon" is exactly lvl.3Death/Nature Spell,
"Sum.Venom Spawn" is level 4.Death/Nature spell, because one costs 8 SP and other 10 SP. They don't cost 12 SP or more, so they aren't lvl.5 spells.

I agree that it is arguable if those 3 death summoning spells are level 5 spells. But summon ice demon costs 12 spell points, summon venom spawn costs 18 and summon devil costs 24. So if a level 5 spell costs 12 spell points or more, all 3 spells are (at least) level 5.

While we are anxiously awaiting the answers to Thunder's questions, I decided to post some more of my own. They are for grabs.

1. Put these spells in order of how powerful they generally are (least powerful first):
Mass weakness, Mass fortune, Celestial armor.

2. You are fighting one stack of 50 orcs with one stack of 50 orcs. Are you better of casting curse or bless? Or  doesn't it matter?

3. Some creature specialties such as the black dragon's magical immunity are somewhat of a mixed blessing. But which three creature specialties are just undesirable?

4. In which way is diplomacy better than charm and in which way is charm better than diplomacy?

5. A barbarian with just his three starting skills finds a scroll of hypnotize. Can he cast it and why (not)?

6. In Heroes 4, what's the difference between strategy and tactics? Edit: I meant, in warfare, there's a difference between strategy and tactics. How does this find expression in Heroes 4. Or: what is tactics in Heroes 4 and what is strategy?

7. A level 12 hero with grandmaster necromancy and the amulet of the undertaker who has visited 2 necromancy amplifiers has killed 50 gold golems. How many vampires will be raised?

8. You put a weekly growth of imps in the undead transformer. How many skeletons will you acquire?

9. A druid summons 2 faerie dragons and lets them cast confusion until they run out of sufficient spell points. Then he summons 2 faerie dragons on top of the 2 that he already created. How many times is the confusion spell cast and how many spell points have the dragons left?

10. How many times must the 'scouting' skill of a thief at least be upgraded to get  grandmaster stealth? (If you have basic stealth and progress to advanced stealth, that's 1 upgrade).

11. How many elemental creatures are there in Heroes 4. And how many mechanical? And undead?

12. Which primary skills can be learnt at a university but not at a seminary?

13. Warning, this question is of impossible difficulty, but you will probably find the answer interesting. What do the following 'features' of heroes 4 have in common?
-inferno
-breeze the falcon
-demonary
-undead transformer
-ankh of life
-demonologist
-necromancy amplifier
-unholy song

Weird question, that last one, isn't it? I will give the answers in a few days. Good luck

1. Put these spells in order of how powerful they generally are (least powerful first):
Mass weakness, Mass fortune, Celestial armor.

Celestial armor (+25 % def.), Mass weakness (-25 % atc), Mass Fortune (1/3 damage taken).

2. You are fighting one stack of 50 orcs with one stack of 50 orcs. Are you better of casting curse or bless? Or doesn't it matter?

I think it's curse, becouse when orc will shoot 6 times they will be forsed to come near my orcs with melee and they will do 1 damage while my orcs will do 1-3 dmg

3. Some creature specialties such as the black dragon's magical immunity are somewhat of a mixed blessing. But which three creature specialties are just undesirable?

Maybe Mantise's bind ability, Zombie's toughness, Goblin knight's stone skin ?

4. In which way is diplomacy better than charm and in which way is charm better than diplomacy?

That you can get creatures for free, and there are no aligment penaltys (for example if you are Order hero with diplomacy you will not get Chaos and Nature units)

5. A barbarian with just his three starting skills finds a scroll of hypnotize. Can he cast it and why (not)?

He can cast hypnotize at half cost. (6 SP)

6. In Heroes 4, what's the difference between strategy and tactics?

Tactics gives creatures speed and movement and strategy is this a skill or what ? :|

7. A level 12 hero with grandmaster necromancy and the amulet of the undertaker who has visited 2 necromancy amplifiers has killed 50 gold golems. How many vampires will be raised?

Lol You can't raise vamps from gold, can you ?

8. You put a weekly growth of imps in the undead transformer. How many skeletons will you acquire?

23.

9. A druid summons 2 faerie dragons and lets them cast confusion until they run out of sufficient spell points. Then he summons 2 faerie dragons on top of the 2 that he already created. How many times is the confusion spell cast and how many spell points have the dragons left?

26 times and 1 SP left.

10. How many times must the 'scouting' skill of a thief at least be upgraded to get grandmaster stealth? (If you have basic stealth and progress to advanced stealth, that's 1 upgrade).

GM Scouting and M Pathfinding + GM Stealth. So 12 times

11. How many elemental creatures are there in Heroes 4. And how many mechanical? And undead?

There are 5 elemntals (E,F,W,A and Gargoyle)
7 undead (skeleton, zombie, ghost, mummie, vampire, bone dragon and dark champion)
3 mechanicals (G.Golem,Balista,Dragon golem)

12. Which primary skills can be learnt at a university but not at a seminary?

Death magic, Demonology, Ocultism, Necromancy, Nobility, Estates, Mining, Diplomacy, Scouting, Stealth, Pathfinding (But you cant learn primary skills as Nobility, Death and Scouting directly, if you don't have primary skill it will be offered instead secondary)

13. Warning, this question is of impossible difficulty, but you will probably find the answer interesting. What do the following 'features' of heroes 4 have in common?
-inferno
-breeze the falcon
-demonary
-undead transformer
-ankh of life

Q1. Celestial Armor, Mass Weakness, Mass Fortune...
Q2. Curse i suppose. Well Orcs are losers and I eat them for brakfast. They cant do snow ranged damage, and even if they do, curse will reduce it to probrably 1 or something. But no matter, either way you'll still win, if tt what you mean, but i prefer curse.
Q3.Now you know... the black dragon is immune! mwahahaha
it is desirable! it is what you want! but uh...that is not the question ? oh i see well....everything looks good to me...really...except maybe useless stuff like leprecauns and that...whatever right now ill call it lunch.
Q4.Diplomacy must pay, but get more units. Charm free but, less units. Geez, do I prefer free food or more food?? I go for both.
Q5.Of course he can cast it! He is a spellcaster right? he got a scroll right? Although it only says that it halves the cost of casting berserk, im sure they're lying! yes! you can cast it! (Gimme a break)
Q6.Uh...strategy is well YOU. Tactics is a skill learnt by those human fellows down at the Haven and Necropolis.
Q7.None. Something about stupid gold golems and being mechanical but hell maybe im wrong. I hate them. Can't eat em.
Q8.Same amout of skeletons as you put the imps. Hey if you give the imps to me, i can give you back the same number of imp bones! No? Well ill give you ten bucks...
Q9.This druid is a moron. Well guess the chicks start with 20 points and confusion is 2 (i think) points to cast so its ten. No magic points added when you add more summons i think....arr all this spell things don't bother me anyway.
Q10.none to basic, basic to advanced, advanced to expert, expert to master, master to grandmaster, and thats only the stealth. Then we have the scouting too. You need grandmaster scouting to have grandmaster stealth, so that its another 4 more since you start with scouting ....so it is 9 for chaos and 11 for everything else. Oh you need pathfinding to increase scouting?
Q11.You ask too much you should go to hell with elementary questions like this...bring on the hard ones
Q12.Seminary? The school of magic you might mean? or you don't ? i dunno what is seminary. issint homm4?
Q13.impossible eh....well nothings impossible for.....
*sits and thinks for five hours*
that's what i got playing the nature campaign...

1. Mass weakness, Celestial armor, Mass fortune (Reversed order. Noticed it was *least* powerful first.)

2. Curse.

3. Berserker (Bersekr), Orc and Centaur (Short range). (Although archery in itself is good, short range is not.

4. Diplomacy: +You get more creatures than you can get by Charm. -You have to pay (50% price reduction) - You can't use Diplomacy on enemy alignments. Charm: +Creatures are free. +Works on all alignments. -You get fewer creatures.

5. Yes.

6. Tactics is a skill. Strategy is something you have to supply yourself.

7. None.

8. Roughly one week's production of Skeletons. (Give or take a few. The skeleton converter is Xp based.)

9. 26 times. 1 spellpoint left.

10. For a thief: 4 for GM scouting. 3 for Exp. pathfinding. 4 for GM stealth. So 11. Any other class must use 13 upgrades (2 additional to get basic scouting and basic stealth)

11. 5 elemental (Gargoyle plus the four usual). 3 mechanaical. 6 (not counting any creatures in expansions)

12. Nobility, Scouting and Death Magic

13. The letter 'o'.

Added to Lich King's Q below:
We could... Usually, though you'd agree with the moderator about the reward before making the quiz. You should talk to Hexa about this since this quiz is in his forum.

I must say that there are many good answers this time, from all three of you. And I thought there were a few really nasty questions among them. Maybe I should start thinking about even harder questions? By the way, I rephrased the question about tactics and strategy because it was a bit vague.

@Lich_king: When I leave out the tactics/strategy question, you have got 8 answers right. That's only 4 questions that are incomplete or false, excellent! You are really familiar with the Death alignment, aren't you? . Nice try to answer the last question ('all of them contain the letter O'), but it wasn't really what I had in mind actually

@Tuapui: Were you hungry when answering? Actually I know the answer already...and I thought sea monsters were greedy (well they can at least devour black dragons)! I see you really hate those leprechauns too, don't you? *peaks at lich_king* I recently learnt they were taken from behind by ogres btw.
But to the point: your result at this quiz is also very good.

@Djive: Your result is roughly as good as lich_king's (scoring the good answers is really hard!). But your answer to my last question is also: 'the letter O'!? Do you people really see me as a person that is fond of making cheesy questions? Hmmm...I'd better post the answers soon to prove the question did have a clue.
