Extreme strategies.
  Hi I would like if some have some good advice about how to survive in Midnights almighty Extreme template. 
 
I am not in the best mood I am actually really mad because i wanted to give Rych a game & actually was doing good & on third week early like day two I go for lots of Droids. 
4 slots of 9. 
I miscalculated. 
I had 3 greens & 23 grands, I shot one stack after waiting & threw an arrow the was only 4 droids left with half HP. 
I added it up attacked that group 7 mis killing the stack by 3 damb HP. 
So I couldnt run back 7 all the other groups took off massive HP too far for my grands to hit the other groups, My dragons died & still too many for grands to kill them all. 
 
I am so mad because I wanted to give Rych a good game & I f it up. 
I really thought I had it. 
I ruined the whole game. 
I learned why i suicided early before but this one was a mistake. 
 
Well I was hoping for some advice so i can get better on it. 
I only lasted one game on it & that was a tough game but I had fun.

well man never underest. i guess the den. are power houses and green d's anrt very good the fight was a good won coul have went either way

Dont worry about it Acu, its a tricky template as well as a damn good one   I've caught a few people on the back foot with it lately, but with a bit of thinking, it can be a great long game. Couple of tips I would suggest are... 
 
As midnight said, mass slow is huge on this map, I would say its 95% unwinnable if you dont get it (unless playing a lesser player) Earth magic, offense, armour, log and path are your wish list. 
 
Must use a might hero....MUST use a might hero, recanters or red orb WILL be found, no good rocking up with Deemer when Hack over there has the red orb   
 
Armourers do very well on this map, and take your time, if you find Taz or Meph week 4, still very easy to build them up. Probably looking at a week 6 fight at the earliest, unless map bug which happens very rarely.  
 
And take your gold mines week 2, have your heroes in position week 1 to take at least one of em. If your starting area is too big to locate them early, chances are its rich enough to get level 7 by the end of week 2 anyway. 
 
Its a cool template with lots of possibilities, especially for those fest guys   have fun.

Yea thats the problem I been having is I been trying to do everythang too quick. 
like all the times I suicided, I realized I been trying to get my sec town everytime. 
 
That last game we had when I was inferno was one of my best. 
I never really tried killing like hoards of behemoths & bone dragons etcwith only 8 devils hehe. 
Yea I didnt have topes or pandoras with money but I think i did pretty well & actually if i would of got even 10000 gold in an pandora I would of broke in desert 2 weeks ago lol. 
 
I am dying to give you guys a good final bvattle in extreme I weep for the future as the chicago resturant owner says in Buelers day off hehe. 
Or somethang like that hehe.

yup I played it too once against gq911 and that mass slow helped me defeat horde of naga queens , breaking into his teritory   but tough I thought that dd/fly are banned and I got when I built up lvl5 .. fly , midnight? was this a bug?

No, i dont believe it is a bug. DD-FLy seem to be in ALL the templates you just arent supposed to use them. 
 
Which, IMO sucks.  What chance does tower have when you pull both FLy and DD from the guild 
 
and IMPLO is not banned....hmm. 
 
Granted we can all make our own player rules but the no `xxx' spell rules really suck when you can get them but not use them. 
 
Maybe there is a way to get RID of them(anyone?), thus not ruining your day when you finally get that level 5 spell only to realize you cant use it.

a template doesnt control any spells
  I think most ppl get the idea that i'm recommending not to use fly/dd on this template cuz it will be too easy if u can leap over all the barriers. If u want a no rules game u can do it. Just, as the designer, I dont recommend fly/dd. I've heard EXTREME is a lot of fun with diplo, end up with 100s of dragons etc.

Mike, it is impossible to control what spells are in the template from the rmg.txt perspective. The only way to edit them out is to do it through the editor/tools/map specifications/spells option. This way, getting say...an all air spell box wouldnt give you d/d/fly. Also if you built your level 5 tower, you wouldnt get fly/d/d in the guild (hence more chance of implo lol). You would also have to edit out the book of air the same way. You just cant do it so that it happens before the random map is created. 
 
Saying that, extreme is such a rort with fly, fly in to the desert and over the guards, pick up 3 20k boxes and a box with all spells in it....sounds fun

the other hot tip is to look for the black orb. in most heroes games it is not important, but on EXTREME u may have to fight 150 red drags, 90 blacks, 130 golds in 2 turns. slowing and blinding them helps a lot.

well midnight I have asked if it is a bug because it was the very 1st time when I played youre template and I supposed that when in the description of the scenario says ban dd/fly , you wont find those out , but you are right since on  the other 2 towns which are random you can not set the mageguild ( I guess not sure tough) , you might get them on those mage guilds. but as I know, on the starting town , it can be banned or m I wrong?  
anyway it was like a big surprise for me , while I was waiting for implo or summon earth on lvl 5 as I was playing with dungeon, and had enough mana, to find fly eh

Hehe, just found this out the hard way. LOL 
 
Don't feel bad manny, i am in the same boat as you. Wanting to give vets a good game, but struggling to do so.
