an interesting one is "pact of honesty" where both promise to not lie about anything. still it doesnt mean having to tell the whole truth, so that when you make the deal of exchaning information about having dragons or not, you can honestly reveal that you dont have them and just be silent about the dragon tower. what is cool is trying to give as much misinformation without actually lying.
yet best of the mind games happen in 3 player hotseat deathmatch. there you have long periods of time you can sit face to face with one of your opponents, talking and trying to craft temporary alliance against the other. after all, if he is so very strong, neither of us stands a chance of winning alone. so we kill him first, and then kill eachother... however, the question is who should make alliances against whom, and when to abandon them. a lot of real diplomacy and fun. which btw also includes sometimes trying to show your strength smaller, so others wont perceive you as a threat and team up against you, or sometimes exaggerating your strength, so the other guy would rather hit on the weaker opponent first. anyway, 3 equal players against eachother is ultimate strategic fun.

Lol . I am just about starting to master the the technicalities of the game and now you all tell me that this is not enough, that i also need a master degree in psycology. My only hope now is Homm 5 where we all start from scratch.
