Poll Question:
Reporting Random Map Template name?
Fixed maps are not reported as Fixed XL, Fixed M, but as their full map name Hourglass, Battle for Honor etc.
With random templates being so commonplace knowledge now, there should be some indication of the Template name when reporting. The size of map is pretty irrelevant. So would report as Random Blockbuster, Random Frozen Dragons, Random 8xm8 etc.
Still allow random XL,L,M for ppl who dont understand templates.
Then just as u can see ppl who play fixed map Desert Wars 100 times, u can see ppl who play the same template over and over again.
It also gives the designers feedback on what their most popular templates are.
Note that this doesnt require any extra programming, just an extra list of map names.

i dun think u have the right options to vote for here hehe, so i didnt vote.
what i mean is, 2 options dont apply to me, nor do i think this rocks, nor do i think its bad idea lol.
but my feelings is it dosent matter really, think just to put random is oki.
if u had an option like "maybe", think i woulda voted that 
wasnt so long ago that ppl( well, alot of them ) didnt realise the gen used different templates never mind custom templates.

max, I purposly tried to filter out ppl who didnt know what i'm talking about, then polarise the remaining vote. cuz at the end of the day it will be a yes or no decision.

if these ppl dont know what ya talking about but play randoms then they just wanna report as Random maybe.
i can see what u mean and the idea behind it.
maybe all maps should have a prefix ie, R:Vortex or F:Battle for Honor to say what they r, cause i guess sooner or later there will be that many random templates about.
i'd still vote for maybe thou

i myself was thinking of this the other day...our season ends in august,maybe too late to implememt it for this season,but next season perhaps?

it is, then you can see if any player "specialises" in certain templates like some players do with certain set maps.
I think you should be able to name the temp too.

Ask and ye shall receive Template names are now listed for you to select. So that you can still tell they are randoms I listed them as "Random - Extreme" etc.

ok a few more adjustments
Remove:
Rush
cuz it is only a very small fun template, not for rated games
Add some 3do templates:
Ring
Meeting in Muzgob
Dwarven Tunnels
2sm...
4sm...
8sm...
8mm...
6lm10
8xm12
8xm8
7sb...
Golems Aplenty
Monk's Retreat
Rise of Phoenix
dont shorten 8xm12 and 8xm8 to 8xm... because they are vastly different templates
I think this is a reasonable list rather than detailing every single 2,4,6,7,8 series template
I have removed a few templates that most players dont like: Dragons, Worlds at war, Newcomers, and Ready or Not.

OK, Rush is gone and I copied and pasted for each of the rest so if there are any spelling errors or mistakes, they're your fault, lol. Hopefully this will give a more complete stat page without confusing newer players.
Now, since I did all this work for you fellas, one of you is going to have to explain to me how to make the RMG's work because I have no clue and am kind of interested in trying out this "Extreme" map I keep hearing so much about.

Great idea for reporting randoms!...However if you are going to include a list of randoms when reporting you should include ALL randoms including the lame ones above.
Most players do not play them, but some do, also many players new to random may run into one of those templates and not find them on the reporting list.
Believe it or not i have actually had a few good games on those templates. But in reality they suck!

nobody online other day so i play a noob begging for a game that he kik my ass...BB comes up he freaks that he dont want fixed map lol...
so he hosts and i say old 3do temps mostly suck..
he says noooooooo....
we load up a game ,,,turns out 4smod..i say we will meet early it suxx...he say noooooooo...
I kill him day 15....
Now I'm a cheater...lmao
the jist is put all the ole temps on list..
belive it or not this "dying" game is still getting newbies)

thanks for all your efforts raven, i reported my first Random - Extreme game today
I have sent kitten some updated templates a week ago which includes one new one:
Roadrunner
If kitten is unable to do the updating would you be able to instead? I'll email them to you in case you would like to.

The other 3DoH templates
If you guys really feel that they need to be added I will do so but I need you guys to post a list of them here kind of like Midnight did with the ones he wanted posted. I have not played a lot of randoms so I am not familiar with the ones that came on the disc.

agree with irn etc, if ya gonna name them, name them all or else ban the templates from toh play that u not gonna name cause ppl gonna get confused or mixed up.

I have them all updated and the new one added. Hope I edited the page itself the way you wanted me to. I noticed you included the listing of what was changed but I didn't know where that would go if I was going to put it on there so I just kept the file.
OH, and you guys write some awesome threads, I figured out how to use these things!

Yes I am sorry I did not get them updated but my Internet and email is all kinda messed up and I am not able to do hardly anything online.
