About the scythes...

I'm also all into giving (war) scythes to Black/Dread Knights and somehow combining them with Wraiths as one of the Necropolis' Champion unit, sort of like Horsemen of Death. So, about how they're able to ride and wield scythes:

First, they're undead so they're supernaturally strong and able to wield 2-handed weapons in 1 hand.

Second, it's like mounted archers. The Mongols for example had a special saddle which allowed them to shoot (an action which obviously requires two hands) and ride at the same time, so the new Dread Knights/mounted Wraiths could use the same.

Thirdly, a nasty, curved sickle-like blade (kinda like their H3 weapon) or an axe would also be cool weapons, but scythes are the best. I've head an idea of introducing a Headsman/Executioner unit as a Necro elite unit (instead of the Maiden of Sorrows in my line-up), kinda like massive armored skeletons wielding two-handed axes to chop off heads (think Diablo's Skeleton King).

Basically that unit would be like a ghostrider with the horse, lol. Combining skull head ( from wraiths ) with a dread knigth's body.....

Plus the weapons. It could work.

I wonder if they decided to ditch ghouls and went back to zombies...

Bone Golems could be great. I think they have potential...

Nah, the design is too bland and it feels like an undead behemoth.

And those are Orcs' domain

The champion choice for Necropolis should be fateweaver ( they so ripped this from warhammer 40k ) and Dread Knights.

Wraiths and Lamasu can go to hell for all I care

About Zombies...

IMHO Zombies seem too bland and weak to be a Core unit (like Haven doesn't have Peasants anymore, but Sentinels instead). They should be a Warfare/summonable unit instead (as said, I'd allow Liches to raise or summon them), and the Necro Core "fleshy/corpse" unit should be the Husks- shrieveled undead with leathery skin and empty eyes, who are actually hollow and filled with flesh-eating insects they can spit out as a ranged attack (and Skeletons will be melee tanks). The upgraded Husks should be the Mummies, allowing them to Curse their enemies and bringing back a series favorite.

Like one you have posted few pages ago from Bloodborn, last picture from that post. There, perfect lineup.

I agree mummies should return. I want something like:

Core: Mummy, Skeleton, Banshee

Elite: Dread Knight, Lich, Flesh or Skeleton Golem

Champion: Wraith/Reaper and Vampire Bat (huge batlike vampire like in some of the pictures in the vampire thread)

My line-up

Core: Skeleton, Mummy, Void Shade (monstrous incorporeal spirits)
Elite: Vampire, Lich, Banshee
Champion: Undead Dragon (either Bone/Spectral or Corpse/Blood), Dread Wraith (combination of Dread Knights and Wraiths- kinda like Horsemen of Death)

I think units of every tie should be bone-spirit-corpse.

like:
core
skeleton-ghost-ghoul

mummies is cool but maybe don't match the style£¬pyramid is in acadamy now.

elite
lich-wraith/reaper-vampire

champion
bone dragon£¨upgrade to Spectral dragon£© -dread knight

My line-up for Necropolis:

Core

Skeleton / Skeleton Archers
Ghost / Specter
Ghoul / Ravenous Ghoul

Elite

Vampire / Vampire Lord
Lich / Archlich
Bone Dragons / Spectral Dragons

Champion

Black Knight / Dread Knight
Reaper / Death

I think Bone Dragons don't really fit the champion role. They have been subpar compared to the other champions and tried to compensate with numbers. I think they would fit better as Elites.

Reaper I think should be a Champion choice because it's the most powerful symbol of death.

Lamasu and Fate Weaver didn't grew on me that much to include them in my line-up.

Undead worship asha. I think there is no such symbol of death thing.

There's zero new creatures in that line-up.
I think all factions should have at least two new creatures.

They worship the Death aspect of Asha. Ain't that right?

Edit: Reaper is basically a remodeled Banshee from H5, in case you had something else in mind. Hood and scythe and all that.

Yet, wraiths were "death itself" in h5 And Ashan doesn't matter, gameplay and creatures should bend lore not vice versa in Heroes

I think Bone Dragons should stay on champion tier, but get some interesting abilities to hold the challenge of other champion units.

Seeing them in Elite would be dissapointing :/

Well, my friend, I disagree.
My favorite faction has always been Necro and I, personately, beg for dread knights to return and I feel Fate Weaver was the best thing to happen lately to the Necro lineup. My opinion is screw the bone dragon(if it was to be mightier regarding its abilities it should have been by now) and please let us have fate spinners (or sth similar) and dread knights/reapers/mounted death with a scythe (I don't know how to call it but you get the idea) as champions.
