may i add i tested this morning on a custom map, the liches' dark embrace and guess what!? it does not work (giving 15% percent bonus for dark spells) i had tested this ability on 1.7 and it worked. poo.

If a large dead stack's corpse is not completely obscured, Necromancy (in the case in point 4, but I presume all ranks have this bug) shows it would resurrect, but (as the corpse is partly blocked) raised creatures do not appear, and remaining necromancy heal is not transferred to nearby injured units.

no spells?
I am not sure if this is a bug or not but I am doing the undead campaign and despite getting hero spells and abilities NONE of them show up in the spell book. Not only that I have town portals, upgraded, in both towns and yet no town portal spells.

Make sure to use the icons on top of the spellbook to toggle the filters off.

- If you attack a unit in a tower (when in siege) with a Chain Lightning spell, it only damages the unit in tower, it does not bounce onto other units...
- Upg. Vamps ability does not work on Pit Fiends. Intended?

It does not even GIVE me the icons up top to filter it. In addition I just tried auto combat and it WILL cast my spells and abilities so I know it registers me as having them. I have a spell caster hero that cannot cast any spells under my control I created a might hero and he cannot use his abilities either.

Hello!
Cerberus/Hellhound => Heroic Charge still doesn't work on them
Mother Breeder =>
they can shoot and move (or move and shoot), but this means for them a nother "movement"..., so when there is pressed attack on them, and they shoot one with pressed attack and then they walk..., the pressed attack is no more on them...
Sacred Kirin, Hailstorm Aura =>
it gives two times water damage..., however it should be (as the description says) 1 time normal damage, and 1 time water damage... And this is very important, 'cause Sanctuary has a unique building what stronger their water damage...

It doesn't seem like Improved Chill (or whatever it's called, increases Chilled duration by 1 turn) works at all. A shame, because it's a very useful debuff now.
Water Elementals don't benefit from the Kirin's Mist.

actually it's a shame that many things do not work now:/ a whiny post i know but it after i found some new bugs that i mentioned i felt that it's hopeless to play a broken game

Activated abilities are broken in every conceivable way Nothing seems to work for them, no praetorian bonus attacks, no yuki onna ice field, no pressed attack, no heroic charge..

I realise I skipped on this game to play other games from patch 1.3 onward, but now in 1.8 I still see the following:
Whenever a Crusher kills a stack with its second attack, while the Hero has the Cleave ability, the log will state that the Crusher gains a new action, but then the game will immediately end the Crusher's turn and skip over to the next creature.
Patching is also FUBAR. When I started playing the expansions, my game was - as said - still 1.3. As soon as I started it up, UPlay notified me of patch 1.4, downloaded it, installed it and started the game. Now I knew 1.7 was out by then, so I quit the game and restarted it.
- 1.5 available. It downloaded, installed and started the game. I quit again ...
- 1.5b available. It downloaded, installed and started the game. I quit again ...
- 1.5.1 available. It downloaded, installed and started the game. ARGH! I quit again ...
- 1.5.2 available. It downloaded, installed and started the game. NO! I get it, I get it! There's more yet! So I quit again ...
- 1.7 available. It downloaded, installed AND STARTED THE GAME. I quit again ...
- 1.7.1 available. It downloaded, installed AND STARTED THE GAME ONCE MORE! NOOOOO! QUIT!
- 1.8 available. It downloaded, installed AND - you guessed it - STARTED THE GAME!
*I was about to slam my head into the monitor at this point ...*. luckily, it was the last patch, but damn, who came up with this patching mechanism? Even if you can't make a patch that sweeps up all previous patches and be done in one go, why is it SO very hard to have the game check if there's a newer patch yet before launching the game?

The crusher's extra action comes on his next round if you kill a stack with assault. It's a fairly bugged ability in general.

When Agony is cast on Centaurs, in their first agonized turn it affects them twice even if they stay where they are after shooting. On subsequent turns, it works as it should. (This presumably affects Breeders too)

Kensei's Challenge ability is very-very broken
The description says that it reduces the first attacked enemy stack's damage by 45%
BUT!
It reduces it totally randomly between 45-99%
And when I puppet master the Kensei to hit for example the Kirin's to reduce their damage, than it works the same as I wrote before..., it reduces somewhere between 45-99%

Yeah, yeah. Same as before.
TWO issues:
1) Sometimes when you attack a monster on the map or a town, you get a black screen with music playing. Closing all web browser tabs may help - it seems Adobe Flash may be causing this, so Flash ads in a web browser make this worse.
2) Sometimes for no rhyme or reason the town screen will freeze. Not sure what causes this, even if you do not have a web browser open it will happen.
Using latest Nvidia GeForce drivers with a Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 videocard and Windows 7 64-bit, SP1.
Some users reported that rolling back to May 2012 drivers may fix this (issue 2), but I do NOT want to do that.
Despite having all internet tabs closed my game still freezes all the time.My video card is nvidia GeForce 8600 gt.Any advise would be really helpful

What version of Windows? How many videoRAM does your card have - 256 or 512 MB? What videocard driver version do you have? This is a very old card. It won't run the game well, if at all.
