When it activates on a retal, You get it the next time a unit moves, ditto with Hailstorm Aura.

PS:Gentlemen don't wait after Cleave, or at worst, they skip the third action.

Guess which debuff can't be cleansed by purity! Puppet Master! Sloppy coding, I think I know why: Puppet turns the unit, so when Purity is cast, it isn't considered to be on the player's army, and thus, doesn't share the effect.
Oh, and btw Calm Before the Storm and Inner Eye both activate immediately(Before the unit itself strikes, but after one decided on a target) when Pressed Attack is active on a unit, which basically nets them an instant extra 28 percent might/magic damage coupled with bonus ini/magic defense, if the hero attack doesn't kill the target. What makes it a bug, is that the extra damage almost equals that of a basic Heroism, making Pressed Attack a sort of combo-warcry for Nagas.

Crushers get two attacks by default, it's one of their abilities. If they kill an enemy stack with their second attack, the Cleave is displayed on the Crushers as well as shown in the log, but the extra attack is not granted.

To me it seems that the game code says NUM_ATTACKS = 2 when Cleave triggers, while it should be NUM_ATTACKS = NUM_ATTACKS + 1. For most creatures, this is identical, but Crushers form an exception: Crushers already get 2 attacks by default, so their NUM_ATTACKS is already 2 to begin with.

Marksmen are so bugged, it's hilarious .

Piercing Bolt ignores obstacle penalties and most of the other dmg-reductions(Dead Flesh, Cyclone, and Sentinel/Praetorian bonus (among presumably others), with the exception of Spirit Form), BUT it ignores damage bonus from arties(Marksman Crossbow and Unicorn Horn Bow(? the one which ignores range penalties and gives +2 dmg to shooters) were both tested, presumably all such bonuses share this)

Also, is Anton supposed to be pink when going Confessor?



EDIT: Before I forget, here's another: Light Elemental's Searing Light doesn't harm the Elementals themselves.

Didn't you know? You of all people should have noticed that special abilities ignore pretty much anything And purity does work with puppet master. If you are the one who puppeted the unit

First ability I noticed that bypassed stuff like Dead Flesh...
As for the other, Gameslayer supposedly recorded an instance of Purity ignoring Puppet, hopefully it'll be up soon.
Oh and Glories' Searing Light does hurt them, so there's a discrepancy not noted in the tooltips

Crashes


I am having consistent crashes in attempting to play one of the custom games (dire straits).  The crash is occurring on day 3 during one of the opposing hero actions.  I am playing with patch 1.80.  

Any suggestions as to how to get through this so that I can play the map?

Is 1.80 still the latest patch? (I saw slight reference to a 2.0 & 2.1 elsewhere).

When the addon comes there will be a patch to address a good number of crashes and similar issues..

Sorry for the offtopic, but due to lack of news recently(just like it happened before the first delay). I gotta ask this: is the game actually going to be released on May, 2/3 ?

Hope so. Thanks for response.

Do you know how long before it is to be released?

I just got another crash on week 3 of the next map in the series, which is Anniversary ... and is a "gigantic" map.  The previous one was "extra large".  I seem to recall previous versions of HOMM that had problems like this with large maps.  However, since my new computer had Intel I7 and 16Gb of memory -- I'd thought that should no longer be a problem.

I'll keep moving on to other maps and come back to these two.

Anyways, I have checked and double checked and yes, Stone Skin and Stone Skin Mass are broken. Its a shame we have not noticed it earlier..

I don't know if this is a bug, or just something *very* strange.

I am playing the custom map, Warlords of Keen.  I was #1 on the top.  I eventually beat the other topside hero, and at about the same time one of the underground heroes was eliminated.  The surviving underground hero was sanctuary.  I got defeated trying to hit him head on, and so backed up and resorted to hit & run tactics.  Eventually I wore him down to the point where my Necro hero could go finish him off.

During the process of the hit & run episodes, I noticed that some of my Necro magic heroes were obtaining very large travel stats -- in excess of 100.  What they were doing was attacking, cast a chained lightning and then retreating.

That is not the only odd thing.  After my main hero captured all of the towns and forts down below, the Gold AI did not die.  I never could see any forces move, nor were there any gold areas left for me to capture.  I had expected the Gold AI to declare defeat seven days after the last fort/town was captured, but they did not do that for several weeks.  I eventually just decided to call it quits and made a final save.

just posting here a list feel free to add or edit anything

-Create a hotkey for the "strike and return" creatures. strike and return now is an active ability and pretty much ignores everything!

-Celestials and seraphs changed abilities (blade of epiphany and blade of mercy)

-The new artifact sets are almost never found ingame.

-Lamasus' "aura of putrescence" does not show in the target creatures' window, so it's not possible to see if enemy creatures are affected by it.

-There is something wrong with the creature audio and combat speed. also i noticed that when certain spells are cast (fireball of killing rays) you first see the damage and then the spell shows effect. BUT when i lower the speed to the minimum (unplayable) the damage shows exactly when the spell is cast and the audio sounds the way it should

-The crubicle of chaos does not work as described, it works like normal market. Fix or change the description.

-Altar of Wishes loads forever in the Heroes VI site.

-Spells and bonuses from scrolls, artifacts and monuments carry on with the secondary heroes in the campaign when the corresponding items are equipped at the end of the map. If unequipped before the map ends the secondary hero continues with his/her normal stats.

-The Ring of the Unrepentant and the same Cloak for the corresponding set do not show image. They work but they look like an empty slot. (unchecked yet)

-revert the marksmen' piercing bolt ability! it has been stated above that it's broken.

-Secondary inferno might hero Sarah does not have a proper animation on the hero window. (the fire on her hair projects in front of her face and she is too low on the window)

-The following creatures when used by the AI, NEVER,EVER use their active abilities.
Imperial Griffins, Dreamreavers, Dreamwalkers, Yuki-Onnas, Spring Spirits, Mizu-Kamis, Archliches.

-Fireball should be reverted to its 3x3 state. now it's one square less that firestorm and deals massive damage making firestorm obsolete!!

-There is an incompatibility with the new content (portraits, heroes etc). in the campaign mode i cannot use the new portraits i have purchased, for a custom hero, neither the new portraits appear on my game card when i select one of them as my dynasty portrait. So they are useless.

-Also i cannot hire the heroes i have purchased, in the market place when playing campaign/single mode.

yes but the whole set?wouldn't it be "refreshing" playing the campaigns with a slightly different set?

Why ? the spell don't work? i have used it in Anastasya's campaign and my defense stat was better... it's weird

to add to the bug's list of ChrisD1:
-The harpy (not the upgrade) strike with NO RETALIATION when she used her special abiliy to stike an stay near to the enemy.
-NYMUS ( Inferno Hero) wich speciality is +1 to the growth of elite creatures don't work ( need to be tested by others), i have built the breeder's structure and my weekgrowth was +5 like the normal growth, it sould be +6...
-dynasty traits (not all) don't work on a second hero... and all the others. only your main ( with blood and tears reputation have the benefits of traits)
- Reputation work only on the first (main) hero... it's maybe not a bug but is too bad...

I don't play more than that at this game but it's all that i can remember ( for the moment) about bugs that not have been indicated by other members. ( but i admit that i did'nt read all the threads that speak about bug )
