I jsut realised how CHEAP berserk is (thanks to you hexa  )it's very good no doubt but i mean, when 50 something arch angels or 30 something black dragons turn on you its no joke nemore! lol well i mean if you have expert fir emagic and berserk u might as well say you won!

Oh yes, Exp. Berserk is really a powerful tool. I won the Dungeons and Devils campaign in RoE only with its help. It's so cool to watch how your enemies beat themselves. Using it, you can defeat armies that are much bigger than yours.

The only excpetion to this rule is if you happen to be fighting only Black Dragons and/or Magic Elementals.

HeyYou, madmartigan was talking about BATTLEFEST, not about regular games. Exp Berserk rocks on FEST, true, but only if you've got the orb of vulnerability (the black orb). If you don't have it, berserk is useless if the main part of the enemy army is composed out of blackies or goldies. Another dangerous thing is if the enemy has expert resistance with the boots of polarity and possibly other res-boosting artifacts that are not at all hard to come by on fest maps. In the regular game, I'd also take expert berserk over expert clone any day of the week, but that's a different story than the one madmartigan was telling

Largo_LeGrande, this indeed is why exp clone causes such massacres on FEST. Ahh, raising your real AA's with the clone, or any other of your fallen troops. Or just hack away on the enemy, eating up that retal damage. Exp clone on arch devils isn't a bad idea either, as your clone remains after it got to hit the enemy! Mmm, great spell.

With regard to your only exception, I would love to see you berserk the titans, undead, efreeti, and gold dragons without black orb, besides those black dragons and magic elementals you have listed.

Hehe man, you are wrong here bud
What good is haste for castle when your archies go first anyway and your next fast troop has a speed of 9, hasted 14? Only Fortess, Stronghold and Tower can't move right after the archies, even with hasted castle army. Mass slow can screw castle army easilly, because you have a huge gap between your fastest troop and the rest of your army.

@sos: He means that then he will gett all his troops up to the other guy with berserk, so when he berserks the castle troops, they will still probably attack his troops, so no use....he also has the tactical adavantage....

Expert beserk is an awesome spell provided your opponent isnt prepared for it. I wouldnt rely on it to win a game for u. Its quite easy (at least in random games) to get pendant of courage and or pendant of dispassion.
I have also seen where u split level 6 and 7 units so that only one gets beserked... Cast mass haste. Then take the hit of the beserked units. Then mass slow next turn and all your units attack first (it was done against castle).
Now beserk isnt an option and your opponent is in a bind.
Just pointing out beserk is a great spell and a good option but u better have something else to fall back on

Best strategy to counter Berserk in a Battlefest(i made it in bold, for those who cant read and still have an opinion)Game is (besides the Arts) to purchase Warmaschinesand put the Dragons into the middle (if not orb of vulnerability).
After this Berserk is almost useless in a Battlefest Game.
Best Spells for Fights with huge amounts of Hitpoints is again WATER (Expert Clone, Prayer, Bless, Cure). Frenzy also comes in very handy sometimes.
Best way to use Berserk in a normal Game is, Berserk in combination with slow, if opponent has 1 huge stack and resurrection. Isolate the huge stack (kill other stacks first), slow, then berserk. Now u keep on fleeing from this huge stack. As long as this stack doesnt get one of your creatures, your opponent has NO control over it and u can eliminate this stack with spells and shooters.
Best town to use Expert Berserk against is of course the fortress town (mass retaliation, death stare, poison, blind, dispel and no magic immune or resistant creature).

I beated a Legion of Nagas in the ABlade Dragon Slayer campaign, thanx to the Expert Bersesk. Without that my army would have been at least halved.

Berserk is really fun spell, but in my online experience I remember only two games which I won mostly because of it. Last one yesterday.
And it was fun watching Malekith with expert slow and expert berserk takes on more than 100 mino kings with just 33 trogs. I lost, though took 93 minos with me.
