You are too hasty to dismiss it, Ubi has not shied from testing the waters. The creature designs have not changed throughout the games(past H5) even if the artistic style has from game to game.
And deviant art or not, it's about the same as the official designs for the game so I'm not sure what you're trying to argue about.

I argue that game was not a main part of the "heroes" or "might and magic" brand, and was not canon, and other full-fledged Heroes games were developed during and after it.
While now, this mobile aberration is the *only* and presented as the *true* embodiment and sole continuation (culmination?) of the might and magic franchise.
