How to replace phoenix ? I tried replacing Cphx.def in H3ab_spr.lod, H3sprite.lod, hmm35wog.pac...nothing???

Because HD mod also replace this def. Check _HD3_Data/Common/Fix.Cosmetic folder

hello,
upgraded to recent era and also updated the hd mod, and now i'm getting this error when trying to start the hd mod. how can i fix this?

as I guess from your picture your mod order is incorrect. WoG has to be at bottom the rest on top. Also install ERA 2.88 on a clean H3 installation. Its not recommended to use the newest HD mod together with ERA.

hmm, wog revised also at the bottom, then? will it work if i roll-back the latest hd-mod update? cos wouldn't want to start from scratch with unfinished maps etc (that would likely introduce some other issues lol).

looks like a separate install of with this package of homm3+era2.8.8+hd-mod works. hopefully all my maps from earlier work too, once transferred.

Hello, I am trying to understand how to modify a specialisation of a hero (lets say Calid for example). Modifying 39 wog - hero specialization boost.erm will change the words associated with the specialisation, but the specialisation itself is unchanged. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hi!Can i make a hero start a battle upon entering an object.What receiver do I use. I tried to find information in the ERM help document but could find any.If someone could tell me where to look or even if this is possible that would be amazing.

!?OB trigger then !!HE:T$1/$2/$3/$4/$5 receiver.
Note that you can then change the only one type army from HE:T by using BF/BA triggers and battle coordinates. Check the tons of mods using this to see how it looks.

Hello,
I need to make learning ability Enhancement script, to make him upgrade his secondary skills on level ups with % chance that this will trigger (not always improve SS)
Current Era II script learning give 50% chance to learn primary skills not secondary skills.
I want to integrate both scripts. So when the Hero level UP, he will imrpove some SS, but if all Expert, then he will improve some primary skill instead (just like schoolars I guess).
or does that script exist already?
Edit: worst thing about this mega thread is that when I come back 1 year later to check if anyone answers, I will never be able to find my post lol.

Its not clear what you need, a check for all SS? would do it like this. Not tested.

What is not clear about it?
maybe I should rephrase it; here is what I want:
Learning: upon level up, hero will has a chance to improve a random secondary skill that he already has.
so if he had basic wisdom, it will become advanced wisdom. if he had archery and armorer, he will improve one of them.
its very similar to wog script 03 for learning I, but instead of primary skill, it give secondary skill bonus.
in my version its script 75 - secondary skill boost

But thats how the game works, if your skills are not all expert, at level up you get one new and the opportunity to improve one. So?

You want to increase one additional secondary skill at level up, if you have learning (with some chance).
No such a script I'am not aware of.
There are 2 difficulties that I see. First, if you use !?HL (Hero Level up trigger) it goes before you are offered your regular SS. So if you change something before I dont know what happens later.
Second, how to properly display the choice of your additional improved secondary skill.
The idea is good, lets see what you come up with.

No choice for it. Similar to the other learning script; you get random primary skill, and you dont have a choice. you just take the bonus.
the idea isnt that good. its only good for the unlimited secondary skill plugin that I always play with.
it will be very situational for a normal 8-skill-limit game though, only being good in a map where its very hard to level up, and thus learning will help you max out your other secondary skills quickly.
