Yes, the color saturation being too much has already been raised with the author.

Also need to mention that some of these models are based on Kuririn's work, which he okay'd to be used as base models. So if anyone notices some similarities between his work and some of these models, that is why

Also note that we will be providing a full set of animations so that each unit can be made to use any animation. For example, if a unit doesn't normally have a spell cast animation, it will have it now so that if someone wants to add spells to the unit, the animations will be there.

I never said these were new creatures. I literally said this was some other amazing work that had been done, which has nothing to do with new creatures.

What was supposed to be taken from what I said is that since these are completely new models, and H4Zer0 has given us a proof of concept that completely new creatures can be added, that these new models shown here for existing creatures could just as easily be new models for completely new creatures.

I've also mentioned that new skins were being created for existing H4 creature models, and these are just a few.

What I think assryn meant is that his project is focused more toward what the NWC H5 could have been. It is inspired by the H5 art from NWC, and we will likely have some new models inspired by that art which will be a part of that

Ah, no, it's not Kuririn that is creating these unit animations. Some of the units are based on Kuririn's models that he has allowed the creator to use as a base, which means the creator starts with a model, and then adds to it / updates it.

That sounds a bit confusing but what I was saying is that there is actually no connection with new creatures added... of course, technically you could now but as you said that is not your project (at least with the specific models shown) so the "now thatnew creatures can be added" sounds weird.

But, still, nice.

Well, colors can still be 2D edited I was speaking more brightness/contrast which is a little harder to correct later too dark models since detail is lost in darker colors.

But I'm glad you see it can be adjusted.

Edit. Clash of the Dragons is now available for download / testing. As with Revolt, I haven't tested it myself, so there could very well be some errors, especially given the pretty heavy scripting I had to do (Tarnum's special skill and scripting a Megadragon dwelling for the WoW version of this campaign).

One more to go for H4 Chronicles!

Revolt of the Beastmasters is now available for download / testing. I haven't tested it yet myself, so there could be some errors.

Since Bytebandit has disappeared, this campaign will still need some additional landscaping, though it does have everything on it that the H3 maps do.

The final two campaigns should be pretty quick for me to get converted and finalized as well, so look for that soon

All of the campaigns have now been tested on champion and their balance updated. There have also been several issues, such as broken passability, that were found and fixed, so make sure to re-download them

Also the lower difficulties have been adjusted as far as additional experience for AI heroes. It was aggravating to impossible for some maps, so that has been addressed as well.

Added a little section in the original post for music mods. Just a little for fun side project I started after fixing importing for mp3's

Super easy to customize the music except for when that music is played from a bink movie file.

The Sword of Frost is now available for download / testing. As with the previous 2 campaigns, I haven't tested it myself, so there could very well be some errors.

That wraps up H4 Chronicles for the WoW version. I do have plans for a version using modded assets, but now I'm going to look to get Unity finally ported to H4.

And the work continues ...
After a well used hiatus, I have returned to continue working on H4 maps once again. I have the time with winter coming on and so, I guess it's time to get creative. First, I would ask to "blend" Revolt of the Beastmasters, Clash of the Dragons and The Sword of Frost into something that's like the previous 5 campaigns visually. Not gameplay changes which is valid as is. Instead, more like 'Polishing' the finished product into a final product.

Great to have you back with us man! Revolt of the Beastmasters, Clash of the Dragons, and Sword of Frost are straight converts with no additional landscaping, so they definitely need your touch !

Hello everyone! I just wanted to show a little bit of something else we’ve been working on recently.

Thanks to the hard work of Albyx, H4Zer0, and RoseKavalier, we are able to integrate our own programs inside the game as plugins, which is obviously super exciting! It’s still currently a work in progress, but it’s extremely promising and will allow us to basically do anything we want using our own programs.

Here is an example of one such program in the works, which can generate a duel map or convert an H3 Map to H4.



It leverages code from the H4 Advanced Options Map Editor for generating duel maps and H3->H4 conversion. Both the generated duel maps and converted H3 maps are saved directly to your maps folder and are immediately available in game.

Once more work is done to reverse buttons on the UI, we plan to add a new button for this feature so that it’s easy to find and use.

The Diamond age of H4 modding is alive and well! Plenty more on the horizon..

I'm glad you guys like him, it was a really fun concept to put into practice (and I also have to thank you Ehlesgens for the wonderful sketches, as well as another artist for the animations and other things). I learned some more about 3D fabric clothes, too.

Added RoE campaign Liberation. I haven't tested it yet, so I'm sure there are some bugs, but hopefully nothing game breaking.

I did a little analysis of the recently published h3->h4 scenario
Heroes IV Restoration of Erathia (Liberation)

I will list the ones I have noticed so far (suspicious places)
1.) On the first map "Liberation of Steadwick" it seemed to me
It's strange that the faces of the characters Christian and General Kendal are the same.
In the original game Heroes 3 they are different. I think it should be the same here.
The portrait of the hero Christian suits him. But the face of the hero General Kendal is needed
change to something similar, for example to a portrait of Rex Mundi, Mardigo or Olwa.
The main thing is that the portraits are not the same as they are now.

2.) When playing on the last map of the scenario "Tunnels and Troglodytes"
when choosing a starting bonus (Level 3 Holy Cathedral)
THE MAP OBVIOUSLY HAS AN ERROR
The cathedral is built and is present in the game initially in the city
but when you try to enter the Cathedral, the game reports that (you do not have a Mages Guild)
and accordingly you cannot use the Cathedral right away.
Also, if you open the construction menu in the city, you will see what you can build
Level 1 Cathedral only. However, if you built a Level 1 Cathedral, then you
All three levels of the bonus Holy Cathedral become active.
In any case, there is some kind of error in the Bonus script
you need to rewrite the issuing script (Level 3 Cathedral Bonus).

Ah good catch there! Kendal probably just converts to Christian as a "best choice" type of conversion, so definitely should choose a different portrait for him.

Interesting here. This is a bug with using the "construct building" script. You can construct buildings without prerequisites being met, but it seems here that the prerequisites are not also built.

Easy fix. Should just need to construct the first and second levels of the Holy Cathedral in addition to the level 3.

First of all i have to delete/replace random item and backpacks. Because i am using random item as random relic, so the backpack and random ITEM = relic i will delete them.
