This is me and my brother at his wedding. I am the one on the left. Hope you like the pic.

This is my dog. She is a cream coloured Golden Retriever, very rare. She means alot to me. I love dogs. Dogs have the ability to give you so much love and affection even in the worst of circumstances. I take care of her and she really means alot to me.

Where do I see myself in 5 years

Well, I've applied for Procedural Clerk at the House of commons of Canada and so in 5 years, I'd like to be a committee clerk for the Foreign Affairs committee. Since I also live in Québec (Canada), I'd like to move to Ontario; so in 5 years, I see myself in Ontario with a good job and a nice house.

My next question to you

Have you travelled in your life? If so, where? If not, would you like to? are you planning to and where would you like to go and why?. (sorry for the numerous questions, but I figure it all falls under one travel question)

Hope to hear from you soon,

Conan

I've decidede to take a differen't approach.. Maybe scaring you a little.. I had this picture planted, where i was at a party(which is being held tonight !) But i thought what i'd try something else, if i get kicked i get kicked

This is on halloween.. My sister painted me took a long time but i was a big hit at the party (Even though not many knew that i was going for the Gene Simmons look) And just so you know, it's NOT Goth!

Heres a combo of something that resembles me, and something i'll do in 5(ish) years.. I want to visit Ireland, for a year.. To get the Accent. I don't know if it's after highschool, or after colleage.. But i think it's gonna be after colleage since i'm spending all my money.. So i can't really save anything..(Parties anyone? )

I'll also see myself have a flat, on my way with my Education and ofcourse a girlfriend. The reason i mentioned that is i don't think i'll be ready for the wife and children yet, since theres so many things i'd want first before getting that..

My question for you is;
Since you are going to be working in Media, whats your style? Funny movies? Horrors? Movies that involve Richard Gere?

()And please don't kick me out, yet )

Hey M, I’m not out yet baby. That’s good. One can tell that this lady’s got a taste in men. (especially because Woock is out )
Heres me:

The pics one year old, but we’re still as sexy as ever.

This one, I’m gonna have to link, cos its likely to arouse the sleeping little piddlers of censoring fanatics: http://web.1asphost.com/Svarog/Demon%20and%20Angel.txt

No, its not about the ladies there. The meaning is largely symbolic, and it expresses how I consider ideal human personality to be – raw, in its animal instinct form, sinfully lustful, in “contrast” with the enlightened purity which we mostly percieve. A free individual must accept both these sides of himself, and this acceptance is symbolized by the upcoming kiss.
Ah yeah, it also tells I have a thingie about lesbo sex a bit.

Question for you: Take the one about cats and dogs from last time. And dont forget: why is what I wanna hear.

Question for me: In five years, I'll be in Germany (or some other pleasant European destination) working on my Masters in Physics, in a chaoticly set-up appartment, with beer cans and other peoples underwear around, a black cat named Osi, and a laptop... oh, yeah...

Now it¡¦s time for me to answer your questions. And this week I¡¦m going to ask every one of you an own question.  So here it goes:

IYY:

You didn¡¦t ask me any question this week, and its¡¦ surprised me but it is your own choice. But I will ask you one:
If you got the choice, would you like to live now in present time or would you either like to live in the 60¡¦s and 70¡¦s?
And the reason why I ask you this question is because I got that kind of impression of you.

Terje_the_mad_wizard:

You didn¡¦t ask me a question, but mine for you is:
Do you perceive yourself as a friend of nature?
The same as you asked me the first week. And I also want to know why/why not?

Leo_Lion:

The answer to your question: No, size doesn¡¦t matter as long you know how to use it ƒº
Mine for you is: Are you happily married?

Dragon_Slayer:

You didn¡¦t answer my last question so I would be happy if you did that. And my second question is:
What kind of car is it that you have?

Conan:

Answer to your question is: Yes, I have been to Spain like 11 times ļ And I looove it.
Question to you: have you been travelling some place in your life?

TheRealDeal:

Answer: I don¡¦t want to do anything of that you wrote. With media I mean that I would like to work with marketing in media.
My question: what do you want to do before you get married and get kids?

Svarog:

I like dogs and that¡¦s because they are more friendly, and I¡¦m allergic to cats ƒº
My question for you: Why do you want to know if I like cats or dogs so much?

Hey there Emma,

I see that after getting to know each other a little better over these last 2 weeks that you’re looking to find out some more personal things about me too. Well...I like that in a woman!

These days, it's very rare to find a woman who will make the first move, let alone one who will propose marriage over the internet to a "somewat" complete stranger! Correct me if I am wrong, but, wasn't that the purpose of you're inquisition...(Are you happily married?)...Now, if that isn't an internet-proposal, then I don't know what is!

So, to answer you're question Emma, I'll just say that maybe we should get to know each other a wee bit more before we "tie-the-internet-knot"!

And before I forget, I am supposed to make fun of Terje this week. I don't really see how this activity will help you to determine who is the "better man" between us both, considering that Terje is really just a boy, BUT...who am I to argue, eh?!

Now that I actually think about it, I don't really have anything negative to say about him...I mean, once you get past the fact that he's a tree-hugging-people-hater, he's really not that bad of a boy! I think that I know him pretty well too, but I must admit that I haven't gotten to the root of his obsession with wearing that "Smirnoff Ice" case on his head. Kinda weird for a tree-lover to be making fashion statements that support the use of pulp & paper products to make hats! But, then again, what does Terje know about fashion??? Just look at that sweater of his, it went out of style at about the same time as IYY’s headband!

+++My question: As playing sports are very important to me, I would like to know which ones you play yourself, or which ones you like to watch?

*The end to no beginning...

*Take care, Leo

I'll do the manly thing and go first.

So I'm supposed to toss Gringo with the material in this thread only. First, he never gave a pic of himself (what's the matter Gringo, you a little shy?) and secondly, did you see the size of his first and only post?? I mean, c'mon, you have to give me something to work with!

Anyways, I'll try my best with the small amount of effort Gringo put in such a lovely lady.

Quote:
I’m almost 17 and I live in Idaho, which is in the U.S.

Uhh Emma, I think he just insulted you there. Way to pick up a girl by making the lady feel like she's ignorant! I mean Gringo: if she doesn't know where Idaho is, she'll ask! (this could even turn into a dialogue, you know, when 2 people talk?) I guess 16 year olds don't have much experience in relationships... (almost 17, I still can't get over that one. I used to say that when I was 4: "Hi! I'm 4 and a half!")

Quote:
I enjoy partying (lots of partying)

Yes Gringo, lots of partying; heck, 16 year olds can't even drink (he's only 5 years under the drinking age)! I bet you're still all about smoking your first cigarette... Did you get that buzz off of it?

Quote:
driving around

Wow that's true, driving around is soooooo much fun. Dude, you want to stop the car and start taking care of the girl... Oh wait, I almost forgot, you're only 16...

Quote:
I consider myself with a sense of humor.

Now that I agree with. You are indeed pretty humorous! In fact, I'll be laughing even more if you even make it after this round alive!

Quote:
Well, that’s enough about me.

That's enough? What? you wrote like 5 lines! I guess you're just a little shy. Don't worry, you move passed it with age and experience.

One last comment: Your custom status says "God of Dark Spam" ... might want to change that before Emma starts asking questions.

Now that I'm done with the tossing, I can get on with more important matters such as getting to know you.

Your question
Yes, I've actually travelled to Europe. I travelled to England, France, Netherlands, Germany, Austria and Italy. It was a backpacking tour with some of my buddies. I've also been to New-York.

My question
Why Spain? what do you like about Spain? Have any friends there? What do you do when you go?

First things first: I forgot to ask you a question last week because I have an instinct not to pay full attention while reading anything by Stiven.

In answer to your question: I would much rather live in the 60's than today. There are many reasons for this, but they can all be summed up to a paraphrasing of Bob Dylan: the times were changing. And it wasn't just the hippies, counter-culture and new, meaningful music. It went far deeper. These were days when questioning your government and society was not frowned upon. Days of freedom and innovation, evident in all fields, including computer science. I don't even know what I would be doing if I lived in the 60's... Inventing the first computers (there was so much to be decided then, so much to explore)? Writing AI programs (back when AI research was still moving somewhere)? Hitchhiking across the country with nothing but a backpack and a guitar? Living in a hippy commune? Protesting the war in Vietnam? The times were changing. People were in motion.

Anyway, speaking of pacifism. I must say that I oppose this stage of the contest. It's against my nature to insult my fellow Comrades, particularly ones I respect and have nothing against. It is so common for people today to be so focused on a goal that they forget about who they harm in the process.

If I was summoned to fight in Iraq, I would refuse and go to jail. If I was asked to beat up some innocent guy to be respected by my friends, I wouldn't do it (and I would get some new friends). Actually, even if I was asked to cut my hair or go to a snobby party I would refuse. I don't care how much I want the prize, I will not change myself in order to get it, and I will not harm others.

I'd much rather lose this round than lose my identity.

Yes. So. With that out of the way, I will ask you another question, but not an easy one: describe happiness in a single short sentence.

Ok I will get mine out here first. I couldn’t really be bothered rebutting anything NealN00b has to say anyway.

But first, to answer Miss Emma’s questions.

1) In about 5 years I see myself either just finishing an engineering course or working as a computer or mechanical engineer. I intend to keep playing football (soccer) as I like to keep up some physical activity. I also don’t intend to stop my social life

2) For your second question, my car is a Lancer VR-X. I used to have a Skyline but my parents bought me that. I found it to expensive to run and just too powerful for someone who did not have that much experience in driving.

Now back to the task…

Emma, look at this pathetic excuse for a man. Why would you want someone with no self-confidence, puts himself down and paints himself black? I am sure a woman of your splendour would prefer a confident, strong male who would look after you, not having you look after him. In addition, I know fashion and shopping is one of your likes, so I guess a full black wardrobe is not on your agenda! I am also guessing you want a man with relationship experience and I do not see Realn00b boasting much of that either. On the other hand if you cast your eyes over here you will see a fine specimen of a man  Anyway I have to go now, got a football (soccer) match soon. Don’t want to toss any harder either, it might start hurting RealGoths feelings.

Yours truly,
Roberto.

PS: Ay RD don’t take offence to anything I have said, its all just in the name of the game!

Hmmm. I originally planned to make a really eloquent toss at Leo's expense here, but then I suddenly realized that it would be rather mean of me to make fun of an old married guy who's trying to pick up 18 year-old girls over the Internet. So I decided that I won't make fun of the poor guy, as it wouldn't be much fun. It would be more sad, like him.

So, to your question: I don't really know myself what I meant about that question, but I'll try to answer it none the less.
A friend of nature? Well, I do enjoy walking in the forest, in the mountains, skiing, and stuff like that. I also have a massive respect for both the destructive and the creative forces of nature. In addition, I am in favour of a more environmentalist policy than the one that's being lead in the world today. So, all in all, I guess I'm a friend of nature.
Sustainable development all the way, to quote Gro Harlem Brundtland....

My question to you:
You mentioned that you like snowboarding. Do you prefer off-piste, or is it more halfpipes, prepared tracks, skilifts, and all that which catches your fancy?

Oh, so you hurt a man for having a lot of black clothes? Well carry on then! You attack a man for wearing paint ? Fine.

But i'm guessing that since it was for a halloween party, and i got 2nd place in "Best Outfit" and i got a kiss from one of the hottest girls in school(she has a status in our Highschool which resembles the home comming queen in america) I guess it's ok, since 1st place didn't get Jack.

So you just LOVE talking about that corpse of junk you call a Car? If you don't drive style, don't drive. I'd rather take the bus than drive in that thing, who wouldn't?

Calm down about being a man, man. Emma sees right through you, she knows your just a big baloon of hot dampy air, which only bursts out when threatened. And when she sees me, she might not think "HUNK", but we all know that theres a reason i'm The Real Deal. Besides you've been on HC a long time, somewhat more than me anyways.. Must be hard using so much time here, when we all know that theres a life, when you're offline.

I'm not much of a tosser, but this is all just in fun..

Questions..
Sorry about misunderstand what part of media you were interested in, but i was sure that you'd be infront of the camera.. I wouldn't mind going to the movies finding your face on the screen.

Well i want a good Job before i get kids, i want to give my children what they need unquestioned, if i get something in return, that means they do chores but they get paid ok for it. And ofcourse i'll want a REALLY nice house and car. But ofcourse i want kids, but the misses probably has her idea of when what and where.

But Tah-Tah, going for a walk now.. Meeting someone in town..

Hi, M.
Your spelling partner IYY (stands for “I Yearn for Youths”) decided to play it whiny pacifist this time. “My nature is soooo pacifist. I love everybody. Cant manage a fair contest with Comrade Svarog. Boo-hoo!” Very well then. We’ll excuse His exalted Dalai-Llama Coockooness, but alas, most certainly I’ll turn out to be the bad guy now bullying people around, just because I accept the given assignment. Hmphhh… Reminds me of those scenes in Looney Toons cartoons, when the villain (or dumb talking animal of some kind) just in the moment when he sees no way out of the crap he’s gotten himself into, puts on glasses and with a calm voice humbly asks: “You wouldn’t hit a man with glasses, wouldn’t you?”, only this villain of ours has taken this technique a step further, and puts on colorful Lennon-glasses, which I find to be an eye-sore for people with basic fashion taste. Therefore, in our case, I’ll make an exception and smack this fashion-sinner right in the face in the name of all the sexy model-goddesses these past years, who’ve put tremendous effort to burry the garbage fashion, called Hippie clothing, once and for all.

Now, as further prove of this man’s sins, we can all see his picture, where our uncompromising pacifist proudly wears an army band round his head (!!!). Hypocrite, or just another fashion sin? I’d say both. Sliding your view a bit down on the photo you can see iyy’s sleek torso, giving itself to the camera like a cheap Bangkok prostitute. Now, OK, i know hippies should be naked, smelly, ungroomed and all, but not necessarily snowty, no? Now, M, imagine a Friday night with iyy: You go out in a fogged club middle of nowhere, with so much grass smoke around, that your eyes start melting; he orders two veggie soups for you, then starts reciting you couple of verses of computer poetry (“My software is an unupgraded version, but hopefully can still start up your programms. I need to take care of viruses however, so three protection filters we’ll use. I’ll store my data in your drives, although a lot of unused space will be left.”) After you sense him hinting at something more interesting than sitting in that dump, you drag him to a hotel room, despite his constant hesitation, and eventually the geeky Hippie reluctantly agrees. Once there, he starts getting undressed, and a smelly odor fills the room air. (hippie style “closer to nature” thing) Holding your breath, you get him in bed, and then… and then… no, you don’t have wild sex, you have 1 minute groaning by iyy, and yawning by you, since obviously the latest nanotechnology failed to meet its modest objectives.
Ah, well, still not convinced? Argh, if that’s the case, then theres nothing left for you but to join the ranks of the growing hippie geek army. Whats it gonna be M, uniting the world, or chasing geeky Hippies?

Now the questions. As I said, its my instant character evaluation question. You see, there are two kinds of people in this world – those who like cats and those who are silly enough not to. Nah, tis cool to prefer dogs as well; especially you’re forgiven, as you really didn’t have the chance to discover feline superiority due to your health imperfections. I think I have a clearer image for you now, in my own weird way. Don’t ask me to explain what, I cant and I wont.

Your new question for the next week will be: What do you look for in a guy? Don’t spare your words, M. I’m sure the boys want to hear as much as possible.

Terje_the_mad_wizard:

Your question:
Do you like snowboarding?

Svarog:
Hehe, I can’t tell you the answer to your question because that will make you guys know what I want and you can just fake it then so, sorry.. but I can’t.

And to you two who didn't ask me any question.. I aint going to ask you anyone either. So.. thats the way it works.

Are you happily married to your wife? Not to me or anybody else, but your wife. The women you exchanged rings with.

Love Emma

I feel so ashamed...I really don't know what to say...I was sure that you were asking me to marry you last week! But, now I see that you were simply looking for information about me ...OR WERE YOU?

I don't know about you, but I don't put "Love Leo" at the end of everything that I write, so when I do put it, I mean it! Are you trying to tell me that you love me, Emma?

I guess that I should answer your question before I make an even bigger fool of myself this week, eh?

Yes, I am happily married. My wife, Ya-Wen, and I have been together for almost 8 years and we got "hitched" on August 9, 2003...I think. (I can also provide you with pictures if you'd like. )

Seeing as how I am a considerate and thoughtful partner, I told Ya-Wen about my interest in participating in this game before actually joining. And now, with her blessing, I am trying to prove that to you, Emma, that I am a "great catch" and that my wife didn't marry a buffoon.

So, on that note, I should describe to you what I would have planned for our first date, if ever we were to go out.

For starters, mornings would not be involved one way or the other, as I would like to keep your "morning temper" a surprise until later in the dating process.

Honestly, I would come to your door, knock, and wait. Once you appeared, I would compliment you on your outfit and tell you that your hair looks great. I would then walk you to my car and open the door for you, like a gentleman.

We would then chit-chat as we drove towards a Gallery that was featuring a media-related art exhibit. As we moved from a painting, to a sculpture, and then to a video-themed piece; we would discuss how the artists were making bold statements about today's media through their creations. Being a Communications graduate myself, I am sure that we would have lots to talk about.

Finally, as we would be ushered out of the Gallery by a Security Guard...as we are the last 2 people in the place...we would be astonished at how many hours had passed, in what seemed like a very short time-frame.

Still drunk on our intoxicating conversation, we would proceed down to a local café...but not before I made a remark on your lovely perfume and offered you my jacket, as it was now night-time and the weather had become unseasonably chilly. Then, as you would walk into the café, I would hold the door open for you, and my chivalry would be rewarded with a cute little smirk from you, that would make my heart flutter like a butterfly's wings.

The next few hours would be spent laughing, talking, and gazing deeply into each other's eyes. At the stroke of midnight, I would offer to take you home and compare our fairytale evening to that of Cinderella's.

As we made our way back to your door, we would be holding hands and nervous with anticipation for that first, special kiss. I would wish you good night and thank you for the wonderful time spent together, and then...I would bow slightly, raise your delicate hand, a caress it lovingly. Then, I would usher you inside and wait patiently outside your door until the pounding of my heart subsided...

+++My question for you:

What is your greatest fear?

Hmm. A date...
I won’t pretend that I’m too experienced about all this, but I none the less have a general idea, I guess. Like Leo, I’d too start the evening with a cultural event. Whether this cultural event was an art exhibition, a movie, a play, and opera, a football or ice hockey match, a concert (although these ones start awfully late here in Norway), or something else entirely, I’d leave to you, since all of them seem pretty good to me.
After that, I’d take you to a restaurant, to have a nice meal. Again, whether we’d eat Chinese, Italian, Thai, or at McDonalds, I’d leave up to you. Unless you chose McDonalds. If you did, I’d leave you right there and then, to be honest.
Now it’s getting kinda late, but for us, the night’d still be young (God, what a horrible cliché ), so we could go to a quiet Kneipe or something like that, and just talk for a while, about high and low, this and that, these and those, while enjoying some good drink. As a splendid ending to the evening, I’d take you home in my red Volvo 360, 1986-model.

Or, if there was nothing to watch, nowhere to dine, and nowhere to go drinking later, I guess I’d just have to steel myself and make you dinner at home, maybe with some good wine and some soft Smetana to go create some atmosphere...

Do I like snowboarding? Well, I haven’t got anything against it, but I’ve never tried it. It is fun to watch, but it looks awfully impractical, when it comes to such things as getting up onto mountains to drive down and such. Looks like one either has to walk up on foot (which would be extremely exhausting, and not to mention boring ) or be flown up by helicopter (which would be polluting). But I’m not really into all that stuff.

Now, why is Sweden better that Norway? Well, there are many aspects that can be brought up, but I’ll just choose one: Because my granny’s Swedish. (Technically, that’s not a sentence, but what the hell... )

So, my question to you, Emma: Would you mind telling us something about your background? Like, what do your parents do for a living, how was your childhood, social status, and “random” things like that? The reason I want to know (I feel that I need to give some reason to that here, as it is very personal questions – which of course means that you don’t have to reply if you feel uncomfortable doing so), is that I am of a somewhat different opinion than Svarog. Where he estimates a person’s character out from their feelings for cats or dogs (I’m a dog person, btw), I feel that I can read more out of some knowledge about a person’s social background.
