I think you are totaly right!
You have to find a THEME.
Becuase your creatures doesn't look like they are from the same race.
As you said, each of these creatures comes from different race, that there allready in the game.
It's like you added to every town a creature, made those creature icy and frozen, and took all those creature into one group.
Bixie's idea for Yeti creature it great, becuase:
1. You can't say it's belong to another race.
2. You can see it's fits to ice race ONLY.

A very good post there Bixie.  Not sure about an entire city made up of Yeti units, but apart from that, couldn't have phrased it better.

I agree. upright Yetis are a nifty Idea, and they would add a primal element. it would be cool *lol* if the yeti replaced the orc as a might based faction.
Would they worship the dragon of air, Sylath?

yetis would be interesting graphically as well as game play. you could have them themed on the himalyan tribesmen and the countries around that area. with some smaller snow monkeys, and the frost giant, along with other units, you have a nice, interesting, and above all fun faction to play.

I didn't put the Yeti in the town because there are the Snow Ape in HoF and actually they are the same.
I thought Frost Giant are better but if you have better ideas please, write them down. (as you did it before)
Oh yes there are already ice creatures like Frost Giant, Ice Demon and Azure Wizard. I actually wanted that thease creatures should be dressed with thick clothes and their skin is blue from cold and on their faces are small icicles.
Don't be angry of me, I just write what in my mind is!

That would be the beauty of it: To use the Yeti, because they are already in the game (sort of).

Because it is not easy to do everything alone...

The Norse had a lot of Icebeings, due to their environment.
White wolves, especially likened to Fenris, would work.

wow hes good a bit similar dont you think, than again the Dwarf line-up basically one unit with a different name

It's still a bit too close to the Fortress, isn't it? I mean, yes, if I had been in total control of the Fortress, I'd probably replaced one or two of the Dwarven units with - well, something else. But still, I think this is getting too close - and a Yeti Slinger is just the most silly idea ever. Why not a Yeti Teaspoon Ninja?

Actually, it's the total opposite of the Fortress.
Dwarves are fire worshipers.
Those mautaineers are ice worshipers.
Mautaineers are creatures that based on the ice.
The only thing in commit is the snow terrain.
Yeti might be a creature in the town (and that even a good idea )
Town that based on Yeti isn't a good idea.

whats the base creature going to be then. i think the yeti one was quite good, because its something orginal, and something no-one expected!.

Yeti is great!
But in my opinion, it should be a creature in a town.
