1. Gnomes shouldn't evolve into alchemist since alchemists were humans.
2. Troll and Ancient Troll should evolve into Yeti and Ettin since they are bigger than trolls.

Viking - Barbarian town
Hello guys!
I like the ideea of transforming the barbarian town
into a polar,viking town.
So how about some wolf raiders,goblins (ice goblins?)and some other norse mithology monsters,
NOT penguins !
Gnome->Gnome skirmisher(slinger?)
not Arquebusier or Alchemist (it doesn't seem right).
Also the shaman doesn't sound like a norseman character.
I wonder if anyone from 3DO read even 10% of the ideas in this forum?

The whole idea of combining the barabarians and polaris has already been talked about and most dont want it to happen (me included) As for gnome slingers that sounds too much like halflings too me. I agree with you on one point shaman does not seem to fit in with vikings (i could be wrong)

I see you are a respected hero now Mystery, congratulations...
Well as far as I can see, the Polaris town is OK, but there are differences, as always, in some ideas. First of all almost no one wants the stronghold to be mixed with vikings or something. Gnomes should evolve to ilusionists (anyone played Baldurs Gate 2 ). They should have some minor speciality... nothing on my mind for now...

Polaris Magic Hero
How about Dokkalfar (also Svartalfar)- The Dark Elves, who dwell in mounds, hillocks and rocks. They are great magicians and teachers of magic says the norse mythology.
Or what do you think about
Valkyries -"Chooser of the Fallen" sent by Odin into battle to select those who would go to Valhalla. Battle virgins, women trained in battle and war magic who would enter the fray with the warriors.
Those could be a good choice.

But on second thought i think that those proposals for Magic Hero are looking better like town creatures than Hero class...

Dark Elves?
Dark Elves? Elves are a unit and you can't just create a natural enemy and make them heroes. In that case elves would have to be made heroes too. This idea I strongly dissagree with.

New roster
Since this town won't be included in H4, I hope they will at least put it in the expansion, so here's the "H4-compatible" creature roster:
Gnome->Arquebusier
Ice golem->Crystal golem OR Water elemental->Ice elemental (I'm afraid that wolf goes to Stronghold).
Viking->Viking chief OR Giant owl->Night owl
Elk rider->Elk raider OR Troll->Ice troll
Yeti->Ettin OR Moon mage->Moon shaman
Blue dragon->Azure dragon OR Polar kraken->Remorhaz.
This town should specialize in Statis magic (Freezing, paralyzing) and all units except lvl.1 should have the ability to freeze.
Town name should be Polaris.

hello
i keep hearing u guys about ice these and snow that..so have u guys decided that the vulnerability of this town is fire magic??
i hate to say this but have u guys even consider the weakness of this town instead of rave on what creature u should have and upgrading them??

Well, why dont you do that by yourself wiz, someone has to do that . We cannot be perfect as individuals, but as a community, sure we can, so that thing is up to you to fill in the blanks. No offence plz .

Weakens
Speaking of weakneses the weakness should really be the fire . There also should be a new artifact/spell. It would be the Spear of Ice. It as an artifact would give you the Spear of Ice to your spell book and give +3 to attack and spell power.

.. I thought Thor usually was pictured with some kind of goats pulling his cart.. not horses?? Correct me if I'm wrong... I had never heard of those horses.. sounds interesting..

Azure dragons would be way to powerful if you had the money to pay for them. If there were azure dragons, maybe their dwelling would only generate one dragon per every couple of weeks, or maybe you could only have a certain amount in your army.

I think frost dragon is a better name.
I don't think this dragon will return but I Know more powerfull creatures!
The Scylla is much more powerfull.
I know there is only one 6 headed scylla but I tought there were also only one Minotaur and Medusa SO WHAT!

City View
Has anyone seen what the new cities will look like in the city screen? It looks like a hill with little circles to place the buildings. That makes sense if you see it.
The Ice Castle is a wicked idea, but it would look stupid in the new format. I wish they just kept the city view like it was in HOMM3 and changed everything else. Or atleast improve on how it was!
