Drows are from D and D.
Dark elves and high elves, i dont think they are. coz they are in other things, like warhammer.

Manticores from Persia? I don't know about this, but I read that Manticore was running around in India, but even I can be wrong from time to time.
And I meant the Hippo-creature. Water-horses.
Elves: At least the main-stream elves (aka Tolkien) came from Norse and celtic mythology (if I'm not mistaken). I dislike elves. Way to gay for me.

No, they are from mythology too
Drow(trow) or Svartalfar or Dockalfar - Nordic , German mythology.
High Elf = Liosalfar from Nordic mythology.
