A sudden brush with death
Some of my friends know, I had been having troubles with my heart lately. Well 4 nights ago I was rushed to the emergency room here in fairfeild california, because my heart had all of a sudden stopped. Luckily they were able to get my heart beating again, but what has me stummped and the er staff stumped, they have no clue why my heart stopped. Well as I was out I have this dream I guess you would say, I had this warm feeling and heard this strong voice say, you are not ready to come home, and the next thing I knew I woke up seeing the celing in the er. Has anyone ever had something like this happen to them if so will you please share?!

I ahve heard/read many of this experiences - luckily I never had one
I read of some1 that had a heart stop and then after being "taken back" told that he kinda saw how he was rescued of a "ghost-pov". And then there is this common story of two people, being struck by a lightning and seeing this ligh-at-the-end-of-the-tunnel-thingy  And mny other stuff.
Im my philosophy class we had texts bout this, a woman told that she floated in a place or sth only of colors and she heard music and nice voices calling for her and she didnt wnat to come back even. two days after getting back, she died.

Well, the fact that she died soon after that, more gives me the thought that she wanted to-cuz she had said that she liked it and didnt want to come back to life - I forgot: She told that she was floating up to a light and where the nice and familiar voices came from and that, before she was gotten back, sth dragged her back down.

For me, the only thing this story tells me is, that this woman either had such a great life that she sais that she allready had all and just thinks it is time to leave - or that her life had been bad and she had nothing to lose :|

That's really weird.
I wonder what could possibly have caused this random heart stoppage, cause that happened to one of MY close friends a few months ago. He just had this really random heart attack. Perfectly healthy. Nothing was really wrong with him. It was really weird. I think it was because his girlfriend cheated on him as if his heart was broken.

Unexplained Heart Failure
Cardiology has always been a field of study that interests me greatly. Throughout my entire schooling and studies, I have yet to come across a documented case of unexplainable heart failure.
I will say it is more likely that the doctor, nurse, or techinician gave a detailed explanation but you simply didn't understand, don't remember, or are in a period of ongoing diagnosis(that's when they need more research to cross-reference your condition).

If you like, I can post as much information as I can find regarding unexplainable heart failures. May I ask your age, if anyone in your family has a history of heart disease, and weight and height? These factors play major roles in determining chronic, minor, and acute heart illnesses and conditions.

kitten i have known you for a long time and i have to say this .
a sudden brush with death ?
i have had what thay call a swollon heart for many years now and i am on life long medication so i no what heart pains are like and i tell you if your heart had stop like you seid then you would have felt the pressure that comes with any sort of heart attack.
weather it be a mild pain or a massive stroke and under these condistion you would now something was wrong.plus you would get warning signs .
plus i do not understand why the er have not still got you in the hospital doing test and monotrin you to find the reason for this heart of yours stopping.
like corsis say i also have never heard of a person heart stopping for no apparnt reason . there is always a reason. so on that note i feel that you didnt have a heart attack or you would still be in hospital .
if you think im being hard im not im being realistic .

I've been "dead" 3 times, and i have never felt that voice, or seen some bright light.. I don't believe its possible, if people actually do see it it's either because they REALLY want to, and make it up in their heads, or because they think it would make them more popular.

I wouldn't say 'lying' but it does sound suspicious. This sort of thing rarely happens in young adults. When it does happen, the more likely cause is drug abuse, birth defects, heredity, or history of major trauma usually associated with a terrible car wreck.

Belive what you may, my heart problems are due to sparatic heart beat, and after I went for my test last night I was told that my heart is being over worked due to stress and sever dehydration. I am now on a blood thinner to help thin my blood so my heart is not being over worked and I have to limit my stress and not allowed to over do myself at all. I may not have told you that I have been having test ran on me ever night for 3 hours to track my heart beats but that doesn't mean I was lying. As I said belive what you may, I am in gods hands now and he will keep me safe and free of harm. God belss you all.
Yes Consis my great grand father had heart desiese, and heart failure due to his heart being over worked.

I noticed that was your 2nd post at HC. You have to understand other people's point of view when they don't know anything about you. Personally, I saw nothing wrong with your post. I assume you saw Kitten's post and you had something in common. It's natural to want to say something about it. It sounded to me like you were questioning the diagnosis from the info you had at the time, not calling Kitten a liar.
With accusations about your second post here, you might be wondering if you want to be a member of HC. When deciding, please ask yourself this. Would you rather be around people who are selfish and don't care about other people? Or would you rather be around people who stand up for their friends and look after them? Maybe he was right, or maybe he was wrong, but RedSox was just looking out for his friend.
I don't want to pass judgement on a single post. I say welcome to HC and I wish you luck with your own heart condition. If you stay, be glad there are people like RedSox around, he might stand by your side some day, as he has stood by Kitten.

Hang in there. Modern medicine is amazing. They'll figure it out. The only advice I have is to listen to the docs and ask a lot of questions. When it comes to your health, be selfish. Get as much info from the docs and nurses as you can, even when they are busy and want to run off. (but not to the point of ticking them off) Nurses are usually more willing to give their time. Don't underestimate their knowledge, some of them are VERY well trained.
BTW, I used to live down the road in Davis. Even took a night class out your way at Suisun College.

I am uncertain when you say 'sporatic heartbeat'. This usually means incongruous heart palpitations, or an irregular beating of some sort. Irregular beating hearts can occur for many reasons. A doctor can tell you what kind of 'irregularity' you present with.
The next time you see the doctor could you ask him/her a question for me? Please ask him/her what the medical term is for your heart condition. He/She might say something like:
1. "Your heart valves don't open/close properly"
2. "Your heart conductivity is insufficient or out of sequence."
3. "You have a murmur."
4. "You have an electrolite imbalance."
Has your doctor said any of these reasons? Also, you must know that you don't have to tell me anything. It is your legal right to keep your own medical records private. I completely understand if you decide not to answer. I am simply curious to see if I can help guide you through this with a bit more understanding of your own heart.

another plea for attention
Many of you may not know me. I have been an active member of the TOH side of this message board for some time. I found this post while playing poker on an internet site and at first didnt want to post anything.
But,I guess today I had a change of heart(no pun intended).
First off,lets remember one thing about Kitten...she likes drama and loves to embelish a great deal. She tries to attract attention to herself in any form possible. She just wants people to feel sorry for her.
Maybe if she spent less time causing stress in her life, like to stop screwing people that care for her(or at least did) she would be in better shape. Maybe if she had a better diet,actually attempted to get off her lazy behind and exercise,this might not be an issue. Or cut back on the things doctors told her she shouldnt have,like caffiene she would be ok. Getting the message people? Self inflicted...all the way.
Thats to assume this actually happened. I mean,after Aculias kicked her cheating @ss to the curb maybe she just wants to feel cared for.
Or maybe,we should just realize where this is comming from,and care less.
Ladies and gentlemen,think what you must..but just consider the above and the attention monger we are dealing with.
