Did the stick help any person on the circus to perform an act (victim, jumping person or any other person being part of the circus team) ?

Had the jumping dwarf cut the stick that the victim used in his everyday life? (Which resulted in a shorter stick this time, all in one piece and threw away or hid the rest part)
You were right on the previous one. I meant the stick, not a key.
