Hmmmm, I suppose anything is easy to poke fun at from behind a keyboard... truth is, you wouldn't last 10 seconds on a (american) football field. As for the ridiculous 3 year old pads comment... there is a reason women don't play this sport (too dangerous) as they do play soccer.

None taken. Soccer is cool too... but it is not very popular in the States, so it doesn't get much television coverage.

And I guess it's kinda hard to throw one of them balls 70 yards or whatever, and still hit what you're aiming for.
Not to mention that you have to be a Mensa member to even understand the rules.

Yeah, it took me 2 seasons to get my gf to watch and finally understand the rules
As for soccer, 2 of my best buddies played all through High School and still play in local leagues... so I do know something just from watching them play.

haha yet another boring real football vs american football discussion. Me and chubby has had several of em already, and the result is always the same...
American football is for cowards. American football lacks skill.

I completely understand american football, watched it played it... dostn't matter...
It's more of a tactical game, for the coaches...no offense ment, but i still think that football rules

I like table tennis because i get to stay on my side and they stay on theirs. No physical contact and being hit with a table tennis ball doesnt hurt as much as being hit with a football

I like to watch Australian Rules Football.
The sport at which I am best, and what I do to keep fit, is swimming.
But normally, for fitness, I just go to the gym and jogging and stuff like that.
I play rugby during the winter. I broke three fingers and my nose last weekend playing it.

Rugby is a good sport, but it is not popular where I live. Basically, in most of Australia, Aussie Rules is the most popular sport in most of Australia (including my state) and Rugby is only popular in the remainer of the country. Therefore, I don't get to see much Rugby on TV, just Aussie Rules...

i live in australia but only like rugby games ok. the thing is that in rugby, afl or whatever u usually have to be big, tough and strong or really quick
i am neither so i play soccer where there are many other skills which can compensate for a lack of other skills

I dont like rugby because when i play people start shouting at me eg,"YOU IDIOT!" or "WHY'D YOU DROP THE BALL!" etc. I dont like to play and they dont like me playing, its a win, win situation
