Blood in Heroes of Might and Magic
Is the vampire in this screenshot using his ability to steal life from the enemy, or have Ubi & Nival finally introduced blood in Heroes?
If you look at other pictures and movies, I think blood is in the game. What does it mean for its rating? Not for everyone anymore?
Personally, I don't mind blood (lots of it in Age of Wonders anyway!). What do you think?

i dont mind blood but it wont drastically change the rating if its just blood on screen for a short while as it comes out, as long as its not spilling out or on the fround after wards it wont drastically change the rating, only a bit. i dont mind either way

I think it would be nice to see some "gore" in Heroes once agan . The green "blood" from the Estates in Heroes IV was annoying as death.

Green blood, you say? I'm kinda glad I sat out on that last game!
I don't mind seeing animated blood at all. I only get creeped out when live action blood is involved, which should be no problem in a Heroes game. I won't complain just as long as they use the color red.

You are right, of course.
I guess the market for computer games was both less in scope and more tolerant back then...?
What rating did Heroes 3 have - "E"?

To answer your question Vlaad, Heroes of Might and Magic III Complete did have a rating of 'E'. I personally wouldn't care what the ratings are for Heroes whether it be "Everyone" "Teen" "Mature" or "Adult" (not that it would be adult, just a figure of speech).

Thanks. Mmm, an adult Heroes game... Now what would that feel like? As for blood, perhaps HC should also move in the new direction and introduce additional smilies?

Could be a more bloody game.
Probably not.
Even children are aware of the Vampire/Blood relationship/ It could be no more than that, since we've seen other attack scenes (Angel/Pit Lord) with no blood.

Yiu know that I was thinking about this thing for a while and I must say that it would be a little real than the other heroes. Was kind of odd to see a behemoth take damage without loosing a drop of blood as if it was a golem or something and as for hard made creature they should drop shards, I think?

I think we saw blood in other screenshots, too. Even the undead seem to bleed in H5.
Anyway, it was funny watching vampires sucking life force (or whatever ) in Heroes 4.

I think that V/VL looked a bit more stronger than those in H4, even mooved faster and striked the enemy quite cool.In H4 V are somewhat of a mosquito. Also the green sphere was awsome.

It might not make sense for H4 Ape (aka Behemoth) not to bleed, but how about H3 ? H3 Behemoth has rocky feel to it, and would you expect a rock to bleed ?
There are reasons to expect that every creature in H5, including stone golems, undead, fire elemental and so on will produce clouds of red blood when hit. These and many other creatures. Do you like it ?
Anyway, it's not as bad as Diablo2. In Diablo2, you can raise skeletons from corpses of ghosts. No kidding.

What do you mean by "rocky"?! It was a giant animal of flesh and blood, even fur (same as H4, but without the ape face ). Of course it would bleed!

What do you mean "what do you mean" ?
Is there any chance you remember Behemoth's death animation ? Or how does its corpse look like ?

I can see what you mean B0rsuk, seeing that at the death of a Behemoth it would vaporize into dust. That doesn't make it "rocky" however. Recall what happens when the mages die in Heroes IV, they would also turn to dust when they would die, that doesn't make them "rocky".

I get a feelig that the red puff has "dual intent", as blood and as "confirmation" of strike, which is, well, stupid. So, in this light, I'm pretty sure that golems will spill blood too when struck, mark my words.

In the Might and Magic games the blood is bright orange and comes from all enemies. I think that was rated teen.
