Hathar was already unpacking the runes from his belt to recharge them, yet he found that impossible, as Mark stepped forward. The stones in the wall started to move around as if someone with telepathic powers controlled them. The planeswalker was most likely the cause, so Hathar just enjoyed the show.

" Magic! " he said to himself, as the stones started to shift. " I like magic! "

The dwarf was like a young boy, eager to see more magic. His eyes sparkled as if this was the best moment of his life. He was fond of magic, no matter if it was dwarven, elven or of any other kind.

The stones finally finished to shift and joined up in the wall. Now this seemed to make some sense to the dwarf. Even though the runes were long since out of power, had no sparkling energy, he could easily notice that a sequence of runes was made up and meant something if translated into dwarven. Yet, the words of the runes did not mean a thing, as there was no sequence.

" Slard, ghwaz, gradl, glahr, naghz and ghran. "

The dwarf chanted the words in an ancient dwarven language. As there was no sequence among the words, he could not understand it fully. It shouldn't have been a normal sequence of words - it was a riddle they - or only Hathar - had to answer. Six different words which meant nothing in particular.

" What does it say? "

Someone from behind the dwarf touched his shoulder and asked what was it. He could not understand who was that - most likely Mark as he was nearest him at that moment.

" Each of these words means a different word. Yet, I find there is no connection among them. There must be a way for us to connect them somehow. As for now, this is a riddle. Most likely the other word added to the sequence shall open the door. As we are not ready yet, I shall not say it out loud - I still doubt that will open the door as we need a rune that means the same to open most likely. "

He sighed and sat on the rocky surroundings of the Keep.

" The words in the order as they are now mean the following: light, darkness, shadow, feast, war, defence. I think there is a connection but not when translated. But what connection? "

He gazed stupidly at the stones and jumped as if thrown into the air.

" The words change one letter per word. Starting with ghwaz - darkness, continuing with naghz, ghran, glahr, gradl and ending with slard - light. Yet, If I am to figure out another word to the sequence, I might not, as there are many possibilities. As you may not help me with thinking of the word in dwarven, maybe you could help me think a word that could follow the sequence. Remember, it starts with darkness and is finished with light... What could be the next word? "

He took out his forgotten pipe and turned around.

" What say you? "

The pain was coursing through his veins like a gigantic river. Never since he first met Grenth, had something like this happened, and like a twist of fate the very same memories were torturing him now. Nothing else but this… dream. It seemed like nothing could be done. He was so close to achieve his goals, and now this happened.

But no, he would not succumb to this. Maybe it would take an eternity to free himself from this but he’ll do it. Or maybe someone would help him, but who would be able to do that? In a brief vision Mark’s face appeared in front of his eyes. Yes, the planeswalker was the answer. Gathering all his strength, Usul managed to let a single thought out, that only one person would hear:

Mark...    please...    help!

The massive door opened slowly and in stepped Krull, a look of determination on his face that would no doubt have single-handedly bound the party's purpose had it been directed to that end. Now all the barbarian could think about was that which lie before him, a great a mighty fortress whose true depths lie uncovered. A living dungeon where his beloved waited for his rescue. Little did Krull know that she had come here of her own free will. He would know of this soon enough, though, as soon as he proved his loyalty to his newfound sense of abandon.

Krull was guided through the traps by a still and haunting voice, a whisper that bordered on silence and chilled the barbarian to the bone as he waded through the Keep and all its dangers. Room after room, each connected by long corridors that wove deeper and deeper into the earth, brought about new dangers, and with them, new instructions. The journey lasted for what seemed an eternity, but Krull eventually came to where the Voice waited.

The barbarian stepped into the treasure room and looked around at the splendor. He was remarkably disaffected by the riches that surrounded him, especially compared to the greedier adventurers the rogue had led this far. Here, he would face a test of loyalty before he was allowed passage into the Keep's true depths. If he failed or turned coats, then Krull would suddenly know the horrors of the Keep that he had avoided on his way to this room. The voice spoke again:

And now, to meet your maker. Do as I say if you wish to gain my trust.

A figure appeared from the shadows and began to approach. Krull did not recognize his father at first, for he had been so warped by the Keep and the magics that flowed through its halls that he was nigh unrecognizable. Only when the Guardian's command was issued did he realize the gravity of its implications.

Kill him!

The Guardian then turned from the battle to focus again on the party. Surely He would missing nothing but moral grappling and the buildup to Krull's eventual yet reluctant victory. That was always how it happened. He would be sure to stop the barbarian before the deed was done. After all, this test wasn't worth losing a strong warrior over.

Ike had sent word to the drow, but the Ulindiel seemed to be one step ahead of them. It was certain now that Annuhalion was one of them, and He knew why he chose to travel with Richard: the rogue could not fail again or he would fall prey to the Keep. For the Highfolk knew that the Keep would draw him deeper into its cavernous depths than it ever had before, and Richard would either conquer the Keep or it would conquer him. Only time would tell, but Annuhalion had to be sure. He was an agent of the high elves, much like Ike was an agent of the dark. Surely the two had guessed at each others origins by now, but neither dare reveal that they knew to the party, for they would have to reveal themselves in the process. Ike would hold Annuhalion in check if he wished to keep his valuable position within the party.

Yet, Ike seemed bored now. They were on the verge of solving the riddle and finally entering the Keep, and he knew the traps would do most of the work from here onward. But he surely still had some role to play. For now, he would instruct Ike to work on demoralizing the party by seeing the dark cloud inside the silver lining. It would be dangerous, as it surely would raise suspicions, but Ike could handle it.

The Guardian summoned Vector.

I sighed loudly in exasperation at having to wait so long for the dwarf to open the door. In a way, it was almost comical that the barbarian literally ran right through it, yet here the dwarf sat with his thumbs to his temples, wondering how to get inside.

"If this rune master of yours knew runes as well as he spoke Common, we'd be inside plundering treasures to our hearts content by now. Surely if a dim-witted barbarian can barrel through that damned door, anyone could! I didn't see any runes on him to get in. Nor any amount of thought, provided that Barbarians can think that is."

I angrily marched towards the door and mumbled a quick incantation that was garunteed to open the door and pushed it open. Then turning to face the others snorted saying, "See? If the barbarian could so easily open it, anyone can. Let's get going. There's treasures to be accounted for. Isn't that right Annuhlion? Treasure enough for all of us?"

Seeing his father for the first time after 20 years did not bring tears to Krulls eyes nor even the slightest feeling of joy at seeing his father yet again. This man was beyond the word cruel, he was as cruel as he was a great warrior, holding his magnifecently decorated morning star in his right hand and his large spiked shield with a one eyed skull the emblem of their house in his left hand, he stood there in the darkness in all of his glory and his 7 feet height.

Although Krull knew that it was some kind of a spirit for his father died from a successful assasination just because in the fields of battle he was unstoppable, the spirit seemed very real to him and he could even hear his paced breathing. If that is what is needed of him in order to prove himself worthy to the keeper and get his loved one back then he must do what is expected of him and kill his own father...

"To kill my own father is my test...? I will do it with pleasure..." Unsheathing his two handed sword and searching for the most comfortable grip on the handle, he continuesly eyed his father for he was very quick on his feet for a 7 footer. "I should have done it myself 20 years ago, you made me hate you like I've never hated anyone else, now I will get my chance thanks to the keeper, believe me I will enjoy it a lot...

It was dark in the room but with all of his new abilities that the keeper awarded him with making out his fathers figure wasn't that hard. Well if he isn't making the first move then I will... Krull rushed at his father lifting his sword up in the air and went for his head but Drozhak managed to quickly block himself with his shield and land a quick hit on Krulls left arm, while backing away to the other side of the room. Krull checked his arm, if not for the heavy armor his hand would be shattered by now. Again Krull rushed at his father and was blocked another time, but being a fast learner and expecting Drozhak to counter he managed to grab his hand before the morning star hits him and broke it like it was a wooden stick. Strange enough his father did not express any pain, that made Krull angry even more, with his swords handle he landed a powerfull hit right in Drozhaks chin which had sent him to the ground. Proud of himself Krull stood feeling victorious over his father, just to hear a most bizzare laughing sound spreading in the entire room.

"You didn't think that your test would be this easy now did you?" It was the keeper speaking to him, drozhak rose to his feet with the morning star back in his hand and moved his head slowly from side to side. Getting a good grip on his sword yet again Krull was ready for another encounter...

'Mark... please... help!' A voice called out, seeming ethereal, and was not immediate, but the desperation took Mark by surprise.

He flicked through the planes, until there he was again.

Usul, the mysterious creature, writhing in agony before him, crying for help.

"What happens to you?"
Mark asked. The creature had little energy left for a reply.

'Grenth...' The one word was all he could mutter, grunt almost, but one word was enough. Grenth, the god of the undead, the netherworld. He was a deceased Emperor who died trying to find the secret to immortality, but what he didn't realize that immortality meant eternal conciousness in the underworld, which some say is worse than Hell.
He had now formed a cult following, and some worshipped him as a... god. Gods were the very antonym to magic and Mark dismissed the idea of them as ludicrous.

"Grenth is doing this to you? I cannot help you..."

The creatures eyes widened, and stared straight into Marks; his mouth gaped, as if trying to speak.

'Mylix...'
Mark staggered back at the sound. The creature knew his true name.

" Then why did I get these runes? Why was I asked such a question? Why? Is it that someone is toying with me? Why then, oh why? "

The dwarf sighed and collapsed. He was desperate to get the answer, but to what? The void to the Keep is already opened, unless it is a darn trap. And those runes, shifting words. Did Guardian do this with purpose of holding the party back, in order to set his gaze upon other matters? Or maybe it was the runemaster who toyed with Hathar? Again a riddle that he had to answer in order to construct a road to answers that lie ahead? "

" Dsarl! "

Hathar swore and spat on the floor next to himself. Ike was standing near, yet he could not sense his presence as his mind was focused on more important matters than this.

WHACK!

The dwarf suddenly got knocked back and lay confused, knowing not what happened. He suddenly noticed the rune stones shifting once again and changing colors. This time they weren't controlled by the powers of Mark, yet someone was toying with them.

The words were most likely the answer he was searching for! He only said "misery" in ancient dwarven and that was a curse. Yet, it was an answer he was looking for! But what did it give him. More riddles?!

SWISH!

A sudden gust of wind hit Hathar hard as he saw blackened tree leaves torn from nearby trees and was making them fly in circles. A strange sound, similar to a laugh of an old man...

" It is long since we met, my young dwarf friend. "

Hathar understood it finally. The Runemaster...

This time it was Drozhaks turn to attack, with two quick steps he almost caught Krull off guard, he swinged his morning star aiming for Krulls rib cage, luckily at the last second Krull was able to perry the strike away but was rammed in the gut with Drozhaks shield. Krull stumbled a few steps back from the impact, a sweeping kick and he found himself splattered on the floor without his sword and all the wind knocked out of him. A swishing sound and a morning star struck the floor one inch away from his head, a sign that he should stay down...

Standing on top of him Drozhak checked his chin once more and picked up his morning star. "I knew you weren't worthy of becoming my heir, you are as worthless in battle as you are in bed with your wife, you made me sick each time that you have called me father... Now you can beg for your life like a little battered dog that you are or you can die with so called honor, your pick..."

"I was always living in your shadow no matter how hard I've tried to prove myself you never even considered me as a warrior, after your death I've proved you and all of your commanders wrong, you never knew the true me, and now I will show my true self to you..."

Lightning quick right handed punch in the gut made Drozhak drop his morning star a left uppercut stunned him for one precious second, that was enough for Krull to regain his feet. Krull dove into his fathers stomache pulling him to the floor and unarming him from his shield. No weapons were near them now, nothing besides one rock the size of a melon. Pinning his father to the floor Krull grabbed the rock from the floor and started violently bashing Drozhaks head, blood started to splash everywhere. He was enraged and only blood could cool him off, after 4 minutes of mercyless beating Krull dropped the rock and took a breather.

"Now to make sure I won't meet him ever again!" Krull sinked his right hand into Drozhaks chest and after a few seconds of searching his insides pulled out his fathers heart. Gradually its beats were slowing down untill they stopped beating at all. Bloody and tired Krull got up lifted the heart up in the air and shouted... "I have done my job! And I thank you for giving me the opportunity! I hope now you will think of me as trustworthy..."

Annunhalion listened to Devins story... He spoke of things greater then simple riches and treasures... He spoke of artifacts of power, strong forces, perhaps even a very ancient evil, which has been forgoten for many centuries now.

Annunhalion had his reason for joining the group, though around noone knew, well apart from Robin. He was sent... well not realy... It was his own choice, but someone had to take the path. For long they have been searching for it and perhaps now...now was the time. Maybee it was time to face it again, once more... Perhaps for a final time... One day they would have to, but was it now? Were they ready?
Or perhaps it was just another false alarm... They would have to wait and see.

As they neared the camp there was something in the air. He could sense it. Something was not as it was. Danger... They quickened their pace. And soon they were again in the place of all the action

This party was getting nowhere fast. No one had any patience it seemed. Krull had gone who knows where into the Keep. And he knew that the poor man was simply lost to the Will of the Guardian. He hoped that Krull would remain alive with the chance that he one day might be freed. Yet he knew that the other option, one that would result in Krull becoming a minion of the Keep, would likely end up in the faceoff between the party and him. Krull could become yet another obstacle in the path of the treasures deep within the Keep.

And Ike, that blasted elf, he's been in the Keep before, yet he acted as though he did not know how to get there. He went in the wrong way several weeks ago, when he had told him the wrong directions. It was all a game and Richard's suspicions were correct after all. He simply couldn't be trusted. When he got his hands on that elf, he would take him aside and have a little talk.

And Annuhalion, his surprise return just seemed a little too convenient. Who did he think he was untying that mad man who attacked the party? At least one matter could be ended now. He saw Annuhalion and  the stranger approaching the campsite. He walked out to meet them and gave each of them a cold stare.

"Is there something you two have been keeping from me?" Richard said. Though he spoke just above a whisper, the intensity of his tone was a bit shocking to the two elves. He could see their eyes slightly widen and their backs stiffen. "I want to know what's going on, now! You two know each other. You Annuhalion have been gone for weeks to suddenly return with no memory. Too convenient. I want answers."

It was long since the last time Hathar heard runemaster's voice. The notes he used to send to him did not reflect the true personality of Torn, yet the bond between the two of them got stronger with every second. The trust Hathar put into Torn was immeasurable until the coincidental events the yesterday's morning.

" Long time no see, my fellow dwarf. "

The voice echoed once again, and the wind blew even stronger, yet it was getting warmer. Hathar could not understand from where the runemaster was speaking, but he sensed his presence and perfectly understood he was somewhere near.

" Now, now, Hathar. Did your senses betray you or you are not willing to see me? "

Torn was here!

The dwarf looked back to see the old man slowly, yet proudly walking towards him. Even before Hathar could think of something what to say to Torn, he knelt on one knee as if giving respect to a proud knight.

" Arise! You need not do that, Hathar. " He smiled to the dwarf and stepped closer to hug him like an old friend. " You are as powerful as I am, if you consider this the cause of kneeling down. We are equal, yet you - as well as I myself - have a lot to learn. "

The runestones behind them continued to shift and change their color. As the two of them silently approached, the pace at which they were shifting slowed down till it seemed that they will soon get still.

" Hmm... It seems that I fulfilled my job. "

The runemaster put his staff down on the grass and sharply eyed the runes.

" The door to the Keep will now be opened for all of us. And that blasted elf tried to trick us... "

" What do you mean? "

The crow landed onto runemaster's shoulder. He punched the bird as if trying to get rid of him.

" What is wrong with you, runemaster. You blame Ike for doing something, and now you punch the bird. What's wrong? "

Torn looked straight at Hathar's eyes.

" Soon you will understand. "

Hathar heard Torn's words in his head and understood! He was still hiding from whatever was the one to follow him, thus he did not trust anyone, except perhaps for the dwarf.

" The entrance to the Keep is now opened. That Ike or whichever way you called him tricked you all. He did not open the door for all of you. It was YOU who opened the door. The runes you saw floating were the key to the Keep. You answered the riddle which kept your party from entering the Keep. Guardian needed time for something else and he wanted your party to remain outside for the time being. Now your way is opened and you all shall be able to enter the Keep freely, just by saying the password once more, when you are ready. "

The continuous Torn's speech exhausted him, yet he remained stout and walked around the runestones.

" Where is Krull by the way? "

" Drozhak, that foul being, must have planted his evil seed into Krull... He is now inside the Keep... Alive or not... "

" So I thought... Son following in the footsteps of his father... And I thought he could be trusted... Another mistake of mine... "

The two of them talked for a while and left for the encampment. Dwarf eyed Torn with both awe and respect. He finally understood many things that were left unexplained, even though there was no direct answer. The visions he got, the mysterious coincidental events he got into were all a doing of the runemaster, who aided him throughout his whole journey. Many questions were yet unanswered - what will happen now, what is the cause of all this, but the dwarf needed to make tremendous effort just to think about it.

" Much time has passed since the last time I walked over these hills... " And came like a thunderbolt - the sole answer he was looking for. The runemaster HAD BEEN in the Keep already!

The last echo of Krulls scream had died out. A smell of burning flesh filled up the room and his fathers lifeless body that was lying on the floor instantly turned into ahes. He knew what was desired of him by the guardian and had to fullfill his wishes if he knew what was best for him. Feeling himself a little drousy with his head spinning and the feet getting caught up together every third step he took, he slowly made his way out of the room. It was his first time inside the keep yet somehow he knew exactly where he must go... where someone wanted him to go right now. Slowly making progress through the keeps maze of corridors he finally reached a large, neatly organized and beautifuly decorated lobby. Five men were sitting in a very comfortable looking sofas and chairs placed around a large wooden table. One of them removed the hood off his head, took all of Krulls big bulk in and spoke to him.

"So you are Krull... The lady have waited a long long time for you to come for her, what was it... 20 years? We thought she lost her mind but she had never really given up on the idea that you would eventually turnout sometime... A real pitty for us though, she is quite the woman... But you must know that already by now..." He smirked, and Krull heard some chuckling sounds from the directions of the other four, they were also wearing their hoods on so it was impossible for him to make out their facial expressions. Krull did not find it very amusing, here he was standing so close to his goal and those five men were his last obsticle... He wasn't in the shape to fight them, not after such a tough fight with the spirit and they had all looked like very capable fighters. He could only hope that his imposing figure would make the five think twice about attacking him.

Straightening his back and making his "I'm not the one to mess with" look, he swallowed a lump in his throat and adressed the one who spoke to him before. "Where is she?! Tell me! Or I swear that I will take some of you out before you succeed in slaying me..."

"Oh well, I belive you could do that... But what's the point in killing your new "best" friends... Come, sit with us and drink this..." He oppened a little round glass bottle and poured a blueish liquid into a silver cup and slid it to the edge of the table near where Krull was standing. "Bless us with your company for a while and then you should get your deserved rest. Your powers will be restored to you in the morning and the guardian will explain everything to you when the time comes. You are in no shape to do anything right now, lay off your guard, if we had the intention of killing you we would have already done so...

Krull understood it well enough, they were right, he needed to rest and gather his strengh. He sat at the table, made himself comfortable in the chair and sipped some of the drink, it was tasty...

I wondered to myself while waiting on the other side of the door for the rest of the party, just how long would it take before realization dawned on them that Hathar had already opened the door. Truely I probably did make a fool of myself by just marching in mocking him. But the deed was done. I looked around the first room of the keep, admiring its beauty.  Thinking about all the traps that lay ahead of the party. And also about how the Keep's ever changing, confusing construction would keep the party guessing as to where they were and how to get back out once they had found what they were looking for. It didn't honestly pay to proceed without them. Surely Richard will think of me as a betrayer, yet truthfully, there's something that I want from the Keep as well. Something magical that turns its wearer invisable. And if its the last thing I do, I WILL get that ring.

Devin stiffened up at the human's words. He twisted his face and spat at Richards feet.

"I will not answer to you, human."

Richard placed his hand on the hilt of his sword, but Annunhalion eased it away. He spoke in a calm, soothing voice

"I can assure you there is nothing going on. I do not know this man on a personal level, but I can also assure you he means us no harm. The events that transpired earlier was nothing but a simple misunderstanding."

"Misunderstanding? He attacked us! You honestly cannot expect me to trust this scum."

Devin balled his fists up, his anger getting the better of him. He reared back and released all his pent up anger into the humans face. He fell down, his nose bloodied.

"Human, you better watch yourself."

Richard got up onto his knees slowly, preparing to tackle Devin. Annunhalion stepped between the two and held Richard back. Devin sneered at the human and then walked on past the two, as Annunhalion tried to ease the situation at hand.

What was this? This elf was a bit too explosive for Annunhalions liking. Actualy, he knew few elves that would react in such a radical manner. There were a few tribes... a few tribes which had a every "unfriendly" stance towards the humans. In general few elves trusted humans completely, but these tribes actualy despised them. Four tribes of them were. Two living in isolation away from the elven kingdom, the other two were living in the Kingdom itself.

Annunhalion eyed Devin. He definately looked like one of the kingdom. His equipment had the Royal marks on them. But still... He showed great anger at Richard. There was more to this... But first Annunhalion had to calm the situation in order to find out more.

"Calm down Devin," He spoke calmly,"take a deep breath. There is no reason to treat Richard in such a manner. If you have a feeling that you cann't trust him I asure you, as on of the Elven Folk, that Richard is one of trust. And as for now you have little choice or to trust me, since you didn't make the friendliest contact with the rest"

Annunhalion smiled and turned to Richard
"What answers do you seek, friend? I can't tell you more that I know. And some things are sometimes better left unsaid. There is alot of mystery in this group and I myslef have alot of question. But there are a few I can answer for you, but you have to ask them yourself."

Devin watched Annunhalion and Richard talk in the distance, Richard occassionally bringing his hand up to his face to check if his eye had swollen yet. Devin paced nervously as Annunhalion walked back up to him. Annunhalion sighed and shook his head.

"If you want me to get them to trust you, you have to quit having these random outbursts. I managed to convince him that it was just the dark energies of the keep that has everyones temper so high. I think he believed it."

Devin fumed even more.

"Random outbursts? This is not random. This is fifteen years of pent up aggression. You couldn't even BEGIN to Imagine what I've been through. You didn't have to watch your entire family be massacred before your very eyes! You didn't have to be exiled from your own kingdom, forced to change your family name just so you could find a place to sleep at night! And now, I have this human thinking he can come around and start demanding things of me?"

"No...but what do you have against humans so much? I've noticed your...superior attitude towards them."

"Its because we ARE superior to them!"

Annunhalion rubbed his chin and studied Devin closely.

"No...thats not it...its true...but its not the reason. Theres more to this than your telling me, isn't there?"

Devin glared at Annunhalion. If it had been any other creature they would find themselves on the ground. Devin turned around and stormed off to the darkness, to brood in his thoughts.

"Arise now my warrior, it's time for you to get up..." A loud deep voice broke the silence in the room, Krull oppened his eyes and quickly rolled of the bed falling hard on the floor. He searched his whereabouts and realized that he is in some kind of a bedroom, strangely enough he couldn't remember anything after that drink he had last night. The sword! Where is the god damn sword!

"If you are looking for your sword don't worry it is in good hands of my guardsmen, two of them will accompany you half way into the dungeon, then it would be all up to you. There is nothing in this keep for free, you want something you got to sweat for it, and believe me you will be sweating in no time... Now you should have all of your strengh back after drinking my rejuvination potion, go outside and be on your way, I will need you as soon as possible back here on the guard.

Tucked nicely besides his bed was a black colored, silver lined heavy steel armor, Krull could see flames of the rooms candles reflecting of it, it was trully a masterpiece. His hand behaved like it had its own mind and reached to touch it almost by itself, the armor was cold and smooth. Krull could feel power radiating from it, he knew there was more to the armor inside than just on the outside. He started putting the armor on, the breastplate followed by the sleeves, the greeves, the shin guards and with every part of the armor that he had put on he felt himself stronger than before. He felt that he was betraying his old armor that had served him for so long but he couldn't give such a powerfull present up just for the sheer feeling of nostalgy.

Storming through the bedrooms doors he recognized the man from last night that had offered him the drink, he was holding his sword in his hands lifting it up for Krull to take it. Closing on him fast Krull snatched his sword out of his hands and checked its condition, it was sharpened, polished and covered in some kind of green gluey ooze, it was poison as far as Krull knew.

"The two who are coming with me, I'm ready... Lead the way!"

"You... you were here?" Hathar choked and whispered as if he could not ask him loudly. "Did you...?"

"Yes, raided the Keep, my young dwarf. This is where I spent my young days..." He silenced as if remembering the old days."Everything was different... The vegetation was flourishing, birds were singing, animals roamed freely... But those days are long since past..."

The dwarf was keen to ask what did the runemaster do inside, yet he thought he would find out sooner or later.

The encampment was just twenty yards away, yet the voices were echoing. The dwarf ran right into the middle of the camp.

"People! Calm down!" He shouted to everyone who were there, watching the micro-battle betwwen Richard and Devin. "The gate is open. We can enter the Keep!"

The sound of wind rushed past his ears.

"Oh, I would like you to greet..."

"I will do that myself Hathar..." The bearded man stepped from the shadows and cautiously lowered his head. "I am Torn, the runemaster..."

I ran down the dark corridor, looking for him.

"Where is he? Surely he must be around here somewhere..."

As I searched for the Gaurdian, I had a few choice questions in mind. But where was he? As I ran on, avoiding traps, I knew I must find him quickly and return before the party made it through the door...

A slim dark haired woman exploded through the lobby doors, she looked very ill to Krull, so very pale but very beautiful.

"The door has been oppened, they are coming and one of the elves is already inside the keep!"

As she was speaking Krull noticed that two of her front teeth were much longer than all of the rest, he found it funny but also cute. She caught his sight and continued talking.

"Is he ready for the dungeon...? The plans have been changed, I will go with him, you four find this elf who is stralling around and get everything else prepared to deffend the keep. I'm Gianna I will accompany you down to the dungeon, we must hurry every minute counts now, come Krull..."

Her eyes turned red and Krulls legs started running to her by themselves, she grabbed his hand and they both rushed through the keeps corridors descending more and more untill they have reached a large rusty iron gate.

There were four stones next to the door, a triangle, square, star shaped and round shaped. By pressing them one after the other she managed to open the gate and dissappeared in the darkness beyond the door.

"Krull..." her voice echoed in the darkness "I can only drag you here, the next step into the dungeon you must take in your own free will... Come into the dark..."

Now Krull remembered a story Hathar once told him, it was about creatures that drank human and animal blood instead of eating normal food, they could also see in the dark and... Hehehe turn into bats, yeah right, nice joke Hathar. With one hand on the hilt of his sword he made a step beyond the door...
