I agree that we are all in big trouble if there is no failsafe.

However, concerning the Player Control Panel... I believe I still have the original PCP code from the original Oracle League, which was created in 1996 by Prometheus and Beowulf.   I do believe I also have the original World Domination code from the Isle League, hell, I still have the whole frickin site, where "The War" and other tournaments were "borrowed" by yourself.  Thats part of the reason Mocara and I stopped the Isle League outright.  Sure, I tried to restart it, but it just wasnt the same.  So again, I ask that you do not accuse me of something where it does not fit. I do not wish my simple act of clarification to turn into an all out flame fest.  Playing Heroes 5 brings me back to the day when I first played Heroes 2.  Very fun, strategic, and challenging.  We all want it to work out, and we all want to enjoy the game, so why start with bashing The Oracle League and myself?  Because you have "been around for 9 years"?  Wheres Digital?

One other thing... lack of free thought.  You know only what is posted.  You know only what I choose for EVERYONE to know.

You have no idea what, if anything, I have planned for the Oracle League.  No idea at all.

I bet that if I decided to supply prizes for something I would be called a "copycat" by you again, wouldn't I?

Sweet

Things are starting to get interesting again. I have a few random comments.

1) It was really easy to cheat in H3, but I don't feel the community was over run with cheaters.. in fact lots of fun was had as long as people don't take things too seriously. Plus cheaters get caught eventually.. and ruin their honor which surprisingly means quite a bit for a lot of people.

2) Almost no idea is original, but lets go with the theory companies use that if so much % of the product is different you can call it "new"

3) Vesuvius is prolly the most dedicated touney coordinator Ive run into. So as fun as it is to start your own tourney or join another for flavor.. odds are we'll all end up goin back to TOH or doing a joint venture type thing.. like a TOH/Oracle game.

4) And finally.. Im sure if H5 sells well we will see lots of patches and fixes for the game.. so lets support it!

Agree 100%

I never said Ves wasn't by and large the most dedicated coordinator for Heroes there has been in a very long time (only Beowulf, the original Heroes tournament creator, was more IMO). This brings me to your second point... everyone every where does indeed copy other people/companies to a degree.

As for "joint" games, that was happening with Heroes 3 while players were still playing it.  Oracle/TOH games were becoming common, while there were still TOH only or Oracle only games.

I agree 100% with point #4....

However, point #1 I strongly disagree with.  I dont want to go into details on it though.  Too much to get into on this thread

I might need to slightly edit point #1 in the sense that.. Yes it was easy to cheat, but I learned to be selective with who I played with, so didn't really need to worry.. hence the reason Bastard tourney was around.

But Ill add my saying that "Sh*t happens and then you flush the toilet"

So regardless of what happens you learn to deal with it and go from there.

Yeah, so do lots of others, still can't see what you're getting at.

Unfortunately my psychic abilities are limited, therefore I cannot be sure of what you're trying to tell me most of the time. If only I could get an Aculias translator ... hmmm ...

"It might be numurous reasons but I still remember Azure Dragon TM Valky "

Explain that sentence to me, because I am lost. Maybe it made sense in your head, but on "paper" it does not.

i'm a bastard :-p

and yes i was in the bastard tourney also  not why i am writing however.
duel mode seems to scare me a little for the main reason of balance.
seems that some races are far too powerful.
I understand {I think) that in the full version any heroes may train most skills.  (I think) it will even out that way....i hope anyhow.
Another reason i may think its unbalanced is not understanding the new creature abilities and hero spells.(without refrence to a player guide this could be my shortcoming)
any thoughts?

Hey.

- Well it IS a fun little game ( - )- in the game - think about that card game intruduced in MMVII ). Leave it, imo, for a minor subtournament.

- OR, just make it a side "tournament" ( points are seperate from the MAIN tournament ), so players can get their frustrations out from losing a x(x)l map game Think back at ( I know TOH do not support small maps ) #1"Good to Go"#1 .. could be a "replacement" for the such (#1).

- Well just a thought.
