the sky enable mod is nice but it has side effects in my game. I guess the cause is that it disables some pixel shading. for example the shadows are gone, the whole strategy map is a bit darker (no, the gamma corr. doesn't help) and various buggy graphichs such as water textures around trees, some annoying flickery light effects sometimes etc etc. anybody has that?

in the meanwhile I managed to make an interesting map camera angled at about 45 degrees and you can pitch it but once you stop the mouse it reverts to that 45 deg. angle. kind of like having a default angle, useful IMO. don't know how I did it though, just messed around with values

I have translated three mods - short descriptions of artifacts, new battle menu and creatres descriptions to polish. Are you interested in putting them at modding page?

Could you point me to the original mods?
If they are interesting, so would be your translations, and then I can add them to the page.

- short descriptions of artifacts: I guess it's not the missing artifacts descriptions mod I made, since these have been fixed in the 1.1 patch.
- new battle menu: that's the one with load and wait button?
- creatures descriptions: ??

Sorry for inaccuracy of my last post but i was hurrying.
1. Creatures's numbers descriptions (adding stack's quantity border numbers for example Few : 1-4)
2. No it's not this artifacts mod which adds missing artifacts descriptions but this which changes descriptions like 'This gives your hero + 6 to knowdledge' to '+6 knowdledge'.
3. Yes it's this menu with added buttons Wait, Load and Save.

EDIT:
I don't know why my game crushes while trying to run it with translated mods:/ With english ones it runs ok. (i've got polish DVD version).
What could be the reason of this behaviour? Too long txt files? Or maby polish fonts (signs)? But with polish signs in data.pak file (translated by polish developer) game runs good.
Help me if you can.

I'll try to get those mods. If you have them, you can send them to the submit address (god, I hate that I can't copy it here because of possible spammers!! it's the submit@homm6.com address, with extended domain name of course...). That way, I'll be sure to have the same version as yours, and your polish translations.

For your crash problems, I guess you made sure to use the same Unicode encoding. Other than that, I won't be able to say much before testing them.

Yes, I received and replied.

The reason for your crashes is that you packaged the files as a rar archive. It has to be a zip archive.
Also, one of them had a UI folder inside the Texts folder. It should be at the root (loadsave... IIRC).
I sent you the correct files back.

I'll resend the mail from my account, as it's been more than 12 hours. Strange...

towns bonus description

Currently town bonus is enabled by the developer, but their not give us enough clue of what bonus the town gives to its owner in town biography, i make this mod and add the bonus description in town biography so people will find it easier to know their bonus. To install this mod just dl and exract it to your data directory

Also, theres some missing towns from text.pak and data.pak... if the missing town come from text.pak then i just make the town name and add the bonus description in town biography... but if the missing come from data.pak, then i dont know how to fix it

NOW time for some questions smile
-i really like how the camera perpective works in battle arena (the cool dynamic camera shot from arrow, battle dive, inferno hero attack, etc) its like shots from final fantasy games smile....is there anyway to add/mod some new camera shot in this game? so when x creature do x action then it trigger the camera shot

-i can add campaign heroes in mp maps for fun, but its really tiring to add the campaigns heroes string to every map to enable it... is there any easier way to do it (i try with disable scenario heroes in the campaign heroes files with no luck)

-is it possible to add new creatures? the tree ant skin and files is a waste if we use treant mod... maybe give it another skill then add it in game as neutrals, is it possible?

I think that it would be great to have new section for H5 modding [like WoG]. We should join our forces, collect all small mods and create one big one, which would evolve [without mods H5 will be just good, not great game].
I am volunteering to be moderator of that forum [I have got a lot of time now + tons of ideas for mods].
Who can make decision about new forum?

A short explanation by LongDarkBlues, the author of the Purple Zombie mod :

I hate to say it, but it's too early for that. WoG was created after the last expansion for H3 came out (it wouldn't make sense otherwise).

I know it is early, but H5 is really more mod-friendly than H3 [and also most people will agree that H3 was simply better game].
It would be good to make a place for all the mods, I know that on the beginning there wouldn't be a big mod like WoG, but work on it could start [gathering ideas, people]. And till that time all people could find small mods in one place.

Sounds like a good idea. H5 is certainly very modable and a whole board can be used for that. As it will obviously happen, we might as well start now. What name do you propose? Also, post a list of links to threads that should go onto the new board.

Name? I have no idea now, I think that we should make some temp name and make voting later [voting for future mod name, which would also be forum name].
It could be a bay for all modders, from heroes community, celestian heavens and official ubi forums [we now have mod topics in 3 forums, very often the same people talk about the same in few places...].
And I will make a list of mod topics after Poland vs. Costa Rica match

The greates problem with mods will be uncompatibility on multiplayer, so everything we make will have to be agreed by most of players. Even when you change some creature model [treant mod] you can't play with someone not having it.
But if we make a big team we have some power to talk with Nival, so they can make some mod-friendly updates with patches...
