When this modding section wuold be settled up? I think it should be done as soon as possible (for me name doesn't matter so it could be change later). It could be named as Vlaad written 'Beyond Ashan' or even just 'modding section'.
My suggestion is that some propositons of INTERESTING and USEFUL mods should be discussed there and in other topics modmakers should show their work/discuss strictly about technical site of creating these mods - it would give some order for people searching for sth in this section.

I think that some "suggestion" threads could go into modding too [but I am not sure if they are aimed towards modding the game or for patch request]. But let the creators decide

Does anyone know how to edit ingame creature statistics? As in changing attack, defense, damage and so on?
The game seems to be lacking a lot of balance, and I was hoping to mess around with the values and playtest them

I suppose that statistics are in /GameMechanics/Creature/Creatures/, but i'm not sure. Check it

Well, beside the fact that its hell to actually locate the files themselves, I really have no clue on how to edit them, as I have no programming knowledge whatsoever.

Programming should not be necessary, just a little knowledge of XML and a willingness to experiment...

Most of that files can be edited by any text editor [You need to save copy of original file, just reversing changes will not help, it will be considered still as an edited game].

Good thinking. The building in Academy is called Arcane Forge, right?

Few hours would be best But I can wait till tomorrow... [ok, ok, few days will do ].
P.S. Has anyone located experience needed for certain level [to mod it, I know the numbers ] ? And where you can add levels [I see level cap at 40  ]

Well I haven't read all of this thread but I see the most of You have problems with opening *.PAK files.
1. Download total commander ( From Here for example)
2. Open the *.PAK file with this tool
3. Edit whatever You want to by pressing F4 with selected file.

And for players for Poland - I've made a patch which make the CD-PROJEKT polish version much better. You can download it here.
After download save it in ./game_directory/data/

Also, I like the new forum names, but you could call them:
Heroes 5 - Temple Of Ashan - Game discussions.
Heroes 5 - Alter Of Wishes - Developing ideas.
Heores 5 - Arcane Forge - Modding discusions.
That'd still have the cool names and also give the clues to the differences between the three fora for newcommers.

I've announced the forum on AOH News, which will be broadcast over AOH, TOH and HC. If you can, spread the word to the other forums so that all modders out there know.

H5 - Temple Of Ashan (gaming)
H5 - Altar Of Wishes (developing)
H5 - Arcange Forge (modding)
Ah well ... I'll rest my case. It's not too bad as it is now anyway.
