Problem with Society
A big problem is the lack of respect from kids today.
Especially when they become teenagers.
With all the household entertainment, no one wants to go out & look a life.
ALot of kids would rather play on the com then to go out & play sports.
Then theres the problem with disrespecting the other people.
Kids then com on the net to run away from thier problm.
Hiding from themselves, they turn on other people.
Kids that act really tough on here & run thier mouths are usually not very tough & they do it on the net because they can.
It's easy on the net then out there where people wont hear of it & beat thier butts down.
Some come to places like here just to bad mouth everyone or to be cool.
Usually that means that they are scared little kids who would usually get hurt if they said anythang in real life to anyone.
You can be anyone you want on here.
Shoot you can be President Bush or Bruce Wayne on here & no one will ever know.
You can be a womanizer & flirt with every age group from 5-9 & be the sickest pervert.
In reality They probally can never get a woman, or maybe they can & just like to brag.
No one really knows.
Point is that entertainment today is keeping kids from going out & learning about the world.
When you grow up you probally wouldnt even know how to get to second ave which is only 2 blocks away

Do you know what the problem is?
The problem is that kids take their favourite genre of music too seriously. For example those who listen to rap are more likely to try drugs and be involved in crimes. Those who listen to emo are more likely to get themselves depressed.

Theres dif types of rap but I agree to an exstint that rap has a bad influence on how people & what they do.
Theres actually good rap that talks about actual real life events & they keep it reals.
As harsh as life is to some, they tell the stories.
As for the fake rappers like Vanilla Ice saying hes from what COmpton or somethang but hes reall from Miami & rapping it away with stuff he dont even know about but what he hears is crap.
Some rappers talk about killing & doing stuff to women is a bad influence.
Then theres the gangsta rap about gangs & killing etc.
Actual rivalry with that.
I agree this world is getting very populated & it wont stop.
Alot of pollution also with polluted waters,cars & loitering etc.
ALot of disrespect these days it seems.
Back then you proved your point in a fist fight, & as i hear it is the same in some countries.
In the states, you prove it by shooting them down & think your the tough guy after.
I had guns pulled on me before & I will say it, thats scary stuff but it pumps ou up with adrenaline.
It's a pussy cowardly way to go & usually people getting shot is either they are at the wrong place at the wrong time or a stupid reason.
Some parents can be the blame as well.
Having kids only for GA.
No father or mother & have to live in shelters or foster.
Abusive neglective parents.
Many reasons why kids behave like this tho.

Hello.
To Aculias: Everyone is more disrespectful these days. What bothers me is that a lot of people are so mean these days.
It seems that no one, or very few people anyway, are nice anymore.
I'm not talking about being a saint, I just don't understand why being mean or inconsiderate to someone you don't even know has become the default social response for so many.
Maybe it's only me, but I just don't see the point.

Cosby has some good points. Parents should step up to look after their kids in this day and age. There are so many bad influences out there, so they should take a more active role in teaching kids decency and responsibility. They should also look out for what their kids are up to when they're not around.
I live at the heart of a relatively poor residential area. The parents are inside watching television while their children play outside on the road (we live in a long, narrow lane) almost entirely unmonitored. When cars drive up and down, the kids often run or ride their bikes across the road just in time to miss the passing vehicles. After seeing this all the time, you've got to admit that some of the parents around here are terribly moronic. These families love to have a lot of children, but the parents suck at raising them appropriately. It's no wonder why the kids get into trouble from time to time. I can go on and on about other things that go on, but that'd be too much.
A lot of this gangsta rap isn't very helpful, either. To me, it's too much of a glorification of negative things. Materialism, sex, drugs, you name it. I'm also sick of all that cussing. It's shameful that kids actually pick this stuff up from their own folks, as well. Swear words might be okay you, but I for one think it's degrading our human language. It gets downright silly when you hear someone trash-talking with a number of four-letter "emphasis words" in a single sentence.

Interesting theorem..........
Take this into consideration. Mr T may have looked like a tough guy but he had his own brand of youth centres and I've never seen him drink alcohol (he always drank milk, no point drinking alcohol when you're the driver of the A=Team van).

Believe it or not Cabranth there is alot of respectable people as well.
It's just that many turned into a bunch of cowards who hide behond a gun then with thier fists.
Cosby has really great advice.
Being intellegent makes you a funnier actor because you can use anythang as a joke from math to history when you know it.
I dont agree that Cosby would 100% put down all rap as being a bad influece.
Certain types of rap yea.
COsby is far from dumb.

Well the problem is kids dont respect anyone who doesnt respect them. And I dont mean pretend to respect them I mean actually respect them. I thinks it adults that dont respect kids and they are meant to "lead by example"

It's also the case of kids not being taught good manners. You say hello to a kid and he just gives you a cold look. Or when you let somebody in front of you in traffic and they don't even wave a thank-you. It's that kind of thing that irks a lot of people (myself included).

It goes both ways.
Thats what we call a typical teenager.
We dont understand them but we want the best for them so we close our ears & we dont listen to where they been.
It makes them furious.
I dont think thats the whole reason.
Otherwise there would be ways of helping with that certain problem.
Sometimes you just hang out with the wrong crowd also.
You cant put the blame on the parents alone because teenagers have to take responsibilities for thier actions because they know right from wrong.

Let's go blaming the society  No seriously. Today's modern, materialistic, stressfull society has changed people. Everyone is on the rush to get a better job, promotion, bigger salary...more, more, more. This has deformed the family, both the relatioship between the partners and between the parents and childern.
It is common in the west(US+EU) that parents just dont have time for their kids. Sometimes it's the father, sometimes mother, sometimes both of them. Especialy when the kids are over 12-13, so they are somewhat independet, the parents tend to care less, spend more time in work, thinking that the kids are more or less grown up and can take care of themselves most of the time.
The age when you are a teenager, especialy the early years is critical. Kids need an example, a rolemodel, or just someone to guide them. And when the parents are not around they turn to others... Society, the people who you meet, the music you lsiten to, have a big influence on a teen. They provide standarts that most feel they want to be like.
And another thing is the all popular fight for popularity... High School , especialy US who's not popular, conformist, like everyone is pushed to the side, has few friends and usualy wants to fit in. I know strong individuals who don't give a damn but not everyone can be so strong.
It has alot to do with everything and I don't belive it will get better in the comming years. Kids want to grow up sooner and sooner, everyone wants to be popular even at the cost of loosing ones personality...
There are alot of infulences that tend to deform the personality of teenagers. Almost everywhere, from ads which provide standarts of beauty, to music, TV. It's just spreading more and more around us. It all has to do with the everincreasing comercianalism. Let's just face it the society is f...up, big time...

Well sometimes you cant always be there because you are supporting your kids & they need a roof on thier head, food on the table & you have to work hrs which is outrageous to do so.
I think that kids dont really understand what adults have to go through until they go through it as well.
It is rare & met some parents but every parent loves thier kids.
Not matter how tough that love is.
Many people are having kids also when they are very young, even early teens.
They are still a kid themselves but the still strive to support thier child & sometimes they get thier parents help.
Theres many & I mean many different reasons for the way kids & adults like act the way they do.

To Aculias: I know lots of nice people. I call them "my friends".
What I meant was it seems that responses ranging from callous indifference to outright antipathy have somehow become more probable when strangers interact socially.
This attitude also appears not to discriminate by any factor I can discover. It happens everywhere with all sorts of people.
It just makes me sad. I'm the sort of deviant who wishes everyone could be happy, get along, and help each other.
Pretty stupid huh?
