I wouldn't mind if heroes 5 was 3d, by then video cards should be able to do it justice. However I wouldn't want it to change the gameplay at all, just for eye candy.

SterScrap: StarCraft 2 is more likely to be 3D (yeah!!!!!!!!) It is true that most 3D games don't have much of a depth, that's just because the only reason for these games to exist is either realism or eyecandy... take Q3A for example.. J.Carmack made that game not to show the great depth of story (the new wolfenstein does that) but to display the 3D engine so that developers would buy it..

hydro1234: agree with you lad

I find the whole PC thing just makes me sick!
Why is it that we constantly have to upgrade our hardware just to use the new software? Are we going backwards here?
Shouldn't software become more easy to run instead of more difficult and more demanding?
It seems kind of like making a car with really bad gas mileage.

...don't get me started Dragonhunter... it really sucks!!! BUT there i nothing we can (or sometimes want to) do... I mean, yes it maybe trully irritating to have to upgrade your PC every now and then cause it's just obsolete.. if you take a look at some of the new stuff you are going to be amazed... (take Radeon8500, or GeForce3 for example)...

Amazed how?
Do you mean that they look good or are they just power pigs?
I do find that some companies are better than others as far as system requirements but not by much.
