MOD: Ultimate Skills only require 4 skills.

As discussed in the other Thread, I have made the changes in the Skills file to make the following changes: Each ultimate skill will now only require 4 skills instead of 5. The new skill trees are shown below, and I have made a link to where the MOD can be downloaded:

EDIT> I had some problems getting this to work at first. As off tuesday 27th 16.00 CET the mod should work in the uploaded version.

After i had downloaded this great mod, i also changed the maximum level in a cimpaign to 40, which is the maximum possible as i understand. i also changed the skills of the hero so i'll have the needed skills for sure. i wanted to check whether all the mods are working before i play the compaign, so i used the experience adding cheate to see whether i receive the ultimate skill. i did receive it, bu only as the last skill left - after all of the 5 primery and their secondary skills were exhausted. so practically this mode made no short cut. is it always like that, or solely in the compaigns it is planned to be the last skill to obtain ?

That must have been bad luck. I played the Haven campaign with this mod and received Ultimate Charge at level 22 - the lowest possible. Went straight for it without deviations. Btw there is another MOD which changes start skills for all Heroes to allow for Ultimate Ability.

is it possible to mod this to make it compatible with zhe AoF expansion of the game ???
Cos I like this MOD very much, I even consider it as a crucial one haha

I am not that good in coding to accomplish just that...
I will try, but cannot guarantee...

I can probably do that. Can HoF not run this MOD (I know it doesn't support the Dwarves, but apart from that, it should work). You will need to copy it into the DATAA1 folder. If it doesn't work, I'll look into it someday I have time.

I am pretty sure it should work for the "old" heroes in HoF, but if you would look into the new Dwarven Heroes and add them to the MOD as well, many would be grateful to you !!! (including me )

Umm ... It's been a while since I did this, and I'm a bit rusty, but I think this should work. Currently, requirements for Absolute Protection are War Machines, Destructive Magic, Logistics, and Defence. Any one skill can be removed, because none of them are interdependant, but I've removed War Machines, since that's the one I'd personally myself be without, if I had the choice. If anybody plays with this, and it gives problems, let me know.

i tried to download the abovesaid HOF mod but i received a "The page cannot be found" messege opened in a new window upon clicking the link to the zipped file.

I dont known if anyone is working in that project yet, but in that file dont have the Fortress and Stronghold paths. Wheres in the data file I can find it to change or anyone can upload the two corresponding .h5u files please? (sorry the bad english ^^)

But I want change Rune and Range to fit the new balance in my game. I made some changes here to the only path need to Ultimate are the racial skills mastered.
