Here are a list of good old games:

Fuji Golf, which was a kinda hard game, and sometimes frustrating to play.
Often well never got hole in ones, they just dont exist in this game

Ski Free, a game where you ski down a mountain AND TRY TO AVOID SOME WEIRD YETI THING THAT COMES AND EATS YOU!!!
Very frustrating times I had with this game, and often I got eaten, and I lost, but it was fun I suppose, the fun will never stop I suppose aswell

Pictures coming later on

The first game I EVER played was Sir Lancelot on my brothers Amstrad CPC464. I played that, and other games such as Truckers (a text-game where you sold and bought stuff in the US, kinda boring), Chuck Egg, Boulder Dash, Caterpillar and other gamer I don't remember. The sad thing is that mom threw away that machine when I was on vacation 6 months ago because she was sick of it. It even worked! With a bit of soldering (the power connector was a bit sluggish) it would have become top-shape!

I think it was -94/-95 I succeded in making my parents by me a Sega Genesis/Mega Drive with 7 games. Those were: Alex Kidd (don't remember which one), Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic 2, Taz something something, Formula 1, Cool Spot and Elitserien 95 (the swedish hockey league on top). Of course, it was Sonic 2 that got most attention, even if Cool Spot was kinda .. cool. I'm still in love with Sonic 2. It's actually the second best game of all time (#1 is of course Heroes III ), imo.

Around -96/-97 along came the PC and I was stuck with so many games I can hardly remember them. The ones that stands out are Full Throttle, Monkey Island 3 (the other MI-games are great, but The Curse was the first one I played), Jedi Knight, Heroes II and so on. Those were at least the ones I seriosly played. Actually, I didn't get up from the computer until a year ago.

Good post there Frick, enjoyed reading it.
Hmmmmm I was looking on my hardrvie, well my old laptop hardrive, and found a couple of games around 1992.
Word Rescue and Maths Rescue were the names, and I found them to be entertaining for a little while, I remember playing it mostly at school, it was a fun game, mainly for learning purposes, but yeah, still enjoyable to say the least.

Here are some pictures of both Word Rescue and Maths Rescue:

~COULDNT FIND ANY FOR MATHS RESCUE UNFORTUNATELY~

I have found some other old games I have played aswell.
Halloween Harry, was a 2D side-scrolling game, which was quite fun at times, and it had chicks in it WOW
There was another called, well I forget now but I still have the demo of it.
Descent was a good game but that isnt old enough, crusader no Remorse and no regret are very good DOS games and unfortunately cannot be played on windows 200 or XP machines, which is such a shame because I loved playing it, well loved playing both of the game, and something very good about that game was that it had very very good music, electronic of course, but very good, and since I love electronic music, I love this.

I have managed to do the second part of my GTA2 guide. This will take you through the first area.

Commercial District

Zaibatsu

Cop Car Crush

- An informant is selling Zaibatsu information to the cops. Steal a cop car from a parking lot in Zarelli.
- Head to the train station in Avalon and pick up Shady, the informant who you must kill. Don’t forget to sound the horn.
- Take Shady to the car crusher in Zarelli. Make sure you get out of the car when you’re at the crusher.

Wheeler-Dealing

- The Yakuza are selling cheap drugs and Zaibatsu dealers want supply. Pick up the supply and give it the dealers. A fast car such as a Z-Type will help.
- Once you’ve picked up the supply you must give them to the dealers. However, you only have three minutes or you fail the mission. Don’t kill the dealers either; otherwise you will also fail the mission, so be quick.

Lick those Loonies

- The Loonies have tainted the water supply and destroyed the Zaibatsu drug trade. Vengeance will be yours by stealing a special Dementia from the hands of the nutters. There are also a couple of Loony guards that must eliminate.
- Rig the Dementia with explosives and return it to where you have found it.
- It seems some Loonies have retaliated by sending reinforcements, which means you need your own. Take the Z-Van at Zarelli and proceed to pick up the Z-Men. Don’t forget to sound the horn.
- Return to where you found the Dementia earlier in the mission and finish off the Loony reinforcements.

Big Bank Job

- Steal a Third World Bank Van that is circling the city. Trey Welsh needs the cash for a cop pay-off.
- Pick up a couple of Z-Men who will help you with this part of the mission. Don’t forget to sound the horn.
- Take the van to the bank to pick up the money to give to the cops.
- Once you have picked up the money, take it back to the safe house. You also have a wanted rating of two, and make sure to kill the two cops nearby anyway you can.
- Find long-time Zaibatsu friend Rollo Tomassi. He has the necessary dough to make the pay-off possible.
- Once the package has been picked up, give the package to a cop at a cop station. NOTE: The package contains explosives.
- Since the cop has been killed, your wanted waiting has risen to four, so get yourself some wheels and head to the safe house, and be wary of the SWAT vans.

Yutes must Die

- A small-time gang known as the Yutes are crushing Zaibatsu cars for scrap. Find a snitch called Lefty and get some information from him. Do not use weapons; you need him alive to get the information you need.
- You now have to find some guy at the Easy Rider Brothel. You must first steal a Yute car (a Shark) from the dockside crushers. There are also a few guards you must also kill while you’re there. Once you get to the Brothel, sound the horn.
- Once he is picked up, send him to Zaibatsu HQ and the Z-Men will use electrotherapy to find some information.
- Go back to the crushers and have their leader crushed in their gang car.

Armoured Car Clash

- Doctor Cubana is being tortured for information in one of two Yakuza Miuras circling the city. You must have those cars destroyed. The cars are armoured and are constantly moving so must prevent the cars from moving and use a car bomb. You also have a time limit of six minutes, so use a fast car if necessary.

Bank Van Theft

- Trey Welsh needs used bank notes for a contraband drug operation. You need to steal a certain bank van, but not until you see the guard enter the van, and you must be behind the van at all times.
- Once the van is stolen you must take it to the safe house. However, the Yakuza are on your tail and you must evade them. If they get too close you can shoot them or mow them down.

Loonies

Radio Za-Za

- The Zaibatsu have made a drug mixed with Futuro FM to make people crazy, which is bad for the Loony reputation. Get some explosives for use in the mission.
- Use the back path to enter the Futuro FM station and to get the explosives.
- Use the explosives to blow up the antennas and the DJ. The explosives will do their job in five seconds.

Pizza Cake

- Pizza Cake is messing around with the Pizzas. You need to pick up some explosives at the University and get some much needed revenge by blowing up a nearby Pizza Cake restaurant. Again, the explosives will explode after five seconds.
- The explosive didn’t work, so you must instead destroy a Pizza Cake delivery van circling around the city.

Who’s Mad?

- Go and meet Cosmo Trouble who has a job for you to do.
- As it turns out the call was a hoax and Elmo’s brother has sent three Zaibatsu hit men after you. You must kill all of them.

Dementia to Go

- The cops have a new Dementia Limo in the compound and Elmo wants it. Go and meet Dodo at the University for more information.
- Go behind the Harman hotel to pick up some weapons. Unfortunately for Dodo it’s bath night, so he can’t come.
- Go and pick up Lance and take him to the compound. For $1000 he can distract the cop at the front, as he is ‘too nice to die’.
- Enter the compound and kill the other guard without him noticing. Use the Molotov cocktails on the gate before getting the Dementia Limo.
- Once you have the limo take it to the asylum.

Destroy J-Lab

- The Yakuza are making drugs to make the insane sane. Keep the Loony insanity rate high by picking up some explosives at the University and head to the J-Lab.
- When at the J-Lab, go around the back of the lab and climb onto the rooftop. Place some explosives where one of the guards is. When the explosives are placed, move to higher ground and watch the fireworks. Be wary of Yakuza guards while at the J-Lab.

Taxi Drivers must Die

- The taxi service won’t give Elmo a ride, and has targeted three particular cabs that you must find and destroy. Be careful getting the taxis as the drivers are armed and should be killed before you proceed. The drivers multiply each time, so be careful.
- When you have picked up the cabs and killed the drivers, head to the South Docks and get the cabs crushed.

Gang War a Go-Go

- Elmo is bored and wants to start a gang war. Steal a Z-Type from the Zaibatsu and run down Johnny Zoo’s top three men. Kill some Z-Men to get Yakuza respect.
- Do the same thing at the Zaibatsu quarters, but with a Miura. Get respect by killing your fellow Loonies.

Yakuza

Get Zitzaki

- The Zaibatsu have discovered the secret experiments of Doctor Zitzaki. Head to the University and pick up the Miura. It is walking distance from where you currently are now.
- Head to the nearby hospital and collect Zitzaki. Don’t forget to sound the horn.
- Take Zitzaki to the J-Lab.

Bank Robbery

- Johnny Zoo is in the process of making an illegal money transfer and Hiroshi, his inside man, needs your help. Take the Shark car and weapons provided and head to the City Bank.
- When you’re at the bank, Hiroshi will have completed the transfer. Kill the two guards before Hiroshi can come out, and then get back in the car.
- Your wanted rating has risen to two. When you’re back in the car, get it resprayed to lose the cops.
- Bring the car back to the safe house after the respray.

Happy Gas Smash

- The Yakuza are still owed money for merchandise by the Loonies. Head to the University and get back Johnny Zoo’s money.
- Sound the horn to get their attention, but get out of the car quickly as you need to kill them and one of them is armed with Molotov cocktails.
- Go around the city and steal an ice-cream van and have that van rigged with explosives.
- Head to the Asylum and destroy their happy gas tanks.

Follow that Traitor

- Johnny Zoo’s top man is selling secrets to the Zaibatsu. Follow him and make sure he doesn’t see you. The first time he sees you it’s a warning but the second will result failing the mission.
- Meet up with the ancient torture master, Refried Noodle, for he has provided weapons if necessary and will help you eliminate the traitor.
- Go back to the traitor’s hideout and kill the traitor and his friends.

Get Gama Rei

- Gama Rei is having plastic surgery and needs to leave the hospital. Steal a Medicab and pick up Gama Rei from the hospital.
- When Gama Rei is collected he needs to be taken to the safe house. Also, the Loonies have dispatched assassins because Gama Rei has some Loony secrets.

SWAT Van Swipe

- Police have impounded Johnny Zoo’s favourite car. As compensation you must raise your wanted level until you can steal a SWAT van.
- Once the SWAT van is stolen, take it to Johnny Zoo’s garage.

Stop the Tank

- The military are mad at Johnny Zoo and are sending reinforcements to trash his exotic cars. Destroy the tank and the soldiers and keep his cars in one piece.

I've played a lot of these very old games. Probably the one who has the fondest memory with me will be Indiana Jones And The Fate Of Atlantis. It stands for me still as probably the best adventure game ever, and even though the graphics looks crappy by todays standard, back then (1992!) it was really impressive. And the story is amazingly well written. I wish somebody would take up that old game and remake it with modern day graphics. I'd sure buy it.

Nice post Alci, but alas I have not played that game, or I may have played it once, and I think it was pretty good.
Many old games when they are transffered into 3D dont seem as good as the original.
For example I think that Hocus Pocus wouldnt be that good in 3D, or Tyrian I dont think that would be good in 3D either.
Many of the old games will never lose their "spark" and wil lalways live on in my opinion.

LONG LIVE THE OLD GAMES!!!

Hey Will, no more negative criticism about my slow typing.

Anyways with the next part of the guide.

Residential District

SRS Scientists

Sink or Swim

- The Zaibatsu have stolen SRS secrets that Dr Labrat wants back. Steal yourself a taxi and pick up for Zaibatsu operatives. Don’t forget to sound the horn.
- Once you have collected the Z-Men, take to the South-East Docks Crane. The crane will make the Z-Men drown inside the taxi.

Fake Truce

- The Rednecks and the Zaibatsu want a truce. Collect the old SRS factory bus that is nearby.
- Head to the Redneck and Zaibatsu areas to collect their delegates. Each gang has two delegate groups, and remember to the sound the horn for each delegation.
- Bring them to the Scientist Research Centre so that they can be taken care of. Make sure that when you get there, you get out of the bus and watch as your fellow Scientists destroy the bus.

Labrat’s Plan

- The Zaibatsu population is on the increase. Head to the Village and kill at least 47 of them any way you can. A group of fellow Scientists will help you on this mission.

Redneck Attack

- Drunken Rednecks are using SRS power generators for target practice. Head to the generators and protect them. You have two minutes to defend the three generators, and at least MUST be intact.

Gran’pa We Love You

- The SRS want to perform an experiment on a Redneck called Gran’pa. Head to the Opry car park to win their respect and also his Grandson Dirk’s Pickup.
- To win Dirk’s Pickup, you must complete a challenge. You must take one the cars provided and hunt down three escaped Loonies. However, the doors are shut, and you have four minutes on the clock. Once the Loonies have been mowed down, head back to the Opry and collect Dirk’s Pickup; you’ll need to kidnap Gran’pa.
- Head to the Ol’ Banjo and pick up Gran’pa. Don’t forget to sound the horn.
- Take Gran’pa to the Research Centre and be wary of those Rednecks.

Taxi Traitor Test

- The SRS prototype remote-controlled taxi needs a good operator, likewise yourself. Head to a remote control and test the taxi for five laps in less than two minutes. Passing the test will result in further work.
- You have three SRS traitors to destroy in three separate remote-controlled taxis. However, you can’t install explosives, so you must find other ways to destroy the cabs.

Water Carry On

- SRS needs you to shut down the H2000 water company, with some help from some SRS clones.
- Once inside, destroy the four turbines with Molotov cocktails and eliminate the guards.
- Head down to the generator and destroy it, then get out of the facility.

Zaibatsu

Fire Truck Fun

- An SRS flamethrower is being transported in a special SRS security van. To get it you must first steal a police car, as the driver will only respond to police as the locking mechanism is too advanced.
- Once you have stolen the van, bring it to Red Valdez’s garage in the Village.
- This flamethrower requires a fire truck for it to be installed, so steal a fire truck.
- Take the fire truck to the village so that the flamethrower can be installed.
- Take the fire truck to the RV and use the flamethrower to burn 30 Rednecks.

Science Friction

- You need to bomb the SRS Clone Test Centre so that it looks like a Redneck attack. Steal Montana’s pickup from the RV, and be careful as it’s rigged with explosives.
- Park the pickup and the south end of the Clone Test Centre (make sure that you made entry beforehand) and only then you can set of the explosives and then get out of the car fast.

Operation Z

- The Rednecks and the Scientists are moving contraband around the city. You need four vehicles to take to Red Valdez’s garage. The first is a pickup from the bowling alley that is full of pills and don’t forget to kill the guards.
- The second car you must get is a Meteor that is driving around the city that contains clone serum and two bio-girls.
- The third vehicle is Billy Bob Bean’s red limo, which you must steal from Disgracelands. Getting to Disgracelands will be a bit tricky though despite the fact that the guards are drunk on beany liquor.
- The last vehicle is a certain cop car, but you must first steal a truck cab. Afterwards you can attach the trailer to it.
- Take the truck and trailer to the Zaibatsu crane to have the cop car unload before you can take it to the garage.

Law Enforcement Larceny

- Red Valdez wants to know how tough you are. First you will need to steal a SWAT van and park it in his garage.
- Steal a Special Agent to park in his garage.

Valdez Alert

- Red Valdez wants you to infiltrate the SRS Research Centre and destroy the two cold generators. Getting into the facility can only be achieved by using the old railway tracks. Some Z-Men will tag along for the mission.
- Use the rocket launcher to destroy the generators. Once they are both destroyed, leave the facility. Don’t forget to kill the guards.

Murder in the Mall

- Head to the Mall and kill 100 Scientists. However, you cannot run them over. Instead you must use your weapons. Some Z-Men will join you in this mission.

Distraction Action

-       Red Valdez wants you to create a diversion to distract the cops. Head to the video store for more information.
- Use the steps and rooftops to infiltrate the cop station and destroy the roof generator with your Molotov cocktails. Once destroyed, steal a truck and trailer combo that has a special agent car on it. Don’t forget to kill the cops.
- When you have the truck, avoid getting arrested for one minute.

Rednecks

Double-Cross Crush

- Billy-Bob Bean isn’t real pleased about the SRS and Zaibatsu troubling the Rednecks so he wants you to make them trouble each other. First you should steal a Z-Type and head to the SRS area to mow down 50 Scientists.
- Steal a Meteor and head to the Zaibatsu area to kill 50 Z-Men.

Blow Job

- Montana has wired some explosives to a pickup and wants you to collect it.
- Test the explosives by blowing up Fat Boy Joe’s Trailer, but remember to get out of the truck when the trigger has been pushed. He’s out bowling so he won’t notice.
- Montana has another pickup for you to collect. Go and take it.
- Zaibatsu have put up a barricade on a key access point. Blowing it up is essential for later missions.

Benson Burner

- The Cop Chief is expecting a new Benson but is giving Billy-Bob Bean a hard time. Surprise him by stealing a certain Benson.
- Once stolen, send the Benson to Buckwheat’s crane so that Montana can rig the car with explosives.
- Dwight T has a trailer so you must get a truck cab.
- Attach the trailer to the truck cab and drive it to Buckwheat’s crane so that the Benson can be loaded onto it.
- Take the loaded truck and trailer combo to the cop station where the Benson will be unloaded and the cop chief will get a surprise.

Tanks-Giving

- Billy-Bob Bean wants to surprise Jungle Montana with a tank for his birthday. Head to the army base and steal one. Make sure you park your car near the respray, and make you can get entry into the base.
- Make sure you kill everyone in the base before stealing the tank. When you take the tank outside the base, your wanted level is at maximum, so be careful.
- Head to the RV with your tank and park it in the garage.

Greatest Hits

- Billy-Bob Bean fancies killing some Zaibatsu hit men but they found out and he’s a little slow on the draw. Go out and kill the hit men. Some Rednecks will help you kill them.
- Zaibatsu Mercenary Flambo Cortez is at the Grand Central Train Station car park and is heavily guarded. Pay him a visit and kill his bodyguards.
- Flambo’s car is heavily armoured. Rig a car with explosives and blow it up next to his limo.

Gang Car Bang

- The Rednecks are having a little competition down SRS way. First to destroy five Meteors is the winner.
- Head down to the Zaibatsu quarters and destroy five Z-Types.

Penal Ties

- Billy-Bob Bean has had some rough times with the Alma Mater prison guards some years back and wants you to wreak revenge, but first you must get inside. The trick is to convince cops that you’re selling beany liquor so that you can be arrested and sent to Alma Mater. Head to the strip club and get yourself arrested. The dealer is waiting inside a Benson.
- Once inside (you’ve lost your weapons, but don’t worry about that), find a guy called the Hump. He’ll have some information to aid your progress.
- Head to the guard room with the emergency key card that you just received and get yourself a guard uniform and an Uzi.
- There are eight guards to kill, so go and kill them. If you start shooting, however, the prisoners will riot.
- Use the key card to operate the locking mechanisms to blow open the gates. Steal one of the special agent cars and escape the facility.
- Cross the gap with your special agent car and head to Disgracelands via that opening you have created. Don’t forget to evade the police.

The first pic, if I remember correctly, is at the respray and bomb store next to the RV Opry. I am sure that car is a Panto, which is a parody of the Ford Pinto, one of the great failures of the automotive world.

And I'm sure the second pic was taken in the Yakuza area in the first district.

However, the third piccie won't open.

I still have skifree, and I also remember that game with the mouse, you had to eat the cheese and you could block it off or trap it.
Very fun game.
I can upload pictures here if you would like to know what the games look like.
