suggestions for heroes
Perhaps it is too late for suggestions to influence the game, but perhaps for an expansion pack....
(btw, where can I post suggestions to make sure the NWC development team will read them?)
anyway, here goes:
1. I would like to see heroes ride more creatures. The zebra is VERY nice. Now how about donkeys, tigers (yes!), lions, or eagles. Perhaps creatures can be found, like artifacts. For example, finding an eagle or a griffon would allow your hero to fly.
2. I would like to see multiple underground levels, not just one, something like cave wars. At least 3 underground levels would be nice. And also, I don't know if any of you have played Might and Magic IV and V, but those games had some very nice cloud worlds. How about a cloud level, complete with castles, treasures, etc? It would be so nice...
What do you guys think of these suggestions? Post some of your own.

hmmm...
i like the idea about riding lions and tigers.the gryffin and eagle ideas are priceless (very good). the others are okay, but i dont think they would do those

multiple levels
I like the idea of having multiple underworld levels. I also like the idea of cloud levels. MM7 featured an entire city in the clouds, if I remember correctly.
One feature I would like to have added would be the ability to turn teleporting devices on and off, or to destroy them entirely. Perhaps a 4th or 5th level spell to do this? I think it would make for some very interesting gameplay.

Yeah! I had the same idea myself, but i improved it:
Earth level (underground)
Air level
Water level
fire level
normal level (normal surface adventure map)

For Gilgalad: I'd like to see Dragon riding monsters or hereos and all the stuff that you said
My Idea: There should be more things that you can get.
My Idea#2: There should be more gaze attacks and spell like abilityes.

3do already recieved the 'multiple level' proposal long ago, but still thought 2 levels were enough...

hmm the idea is cool but maybe there is a place u can purchase these rides??
eg like a stable (War machine shop : u know the place u can get the ballista, the aid tent, and the silo for the archers?? sorry i forgot their names...) u already have a horse and u may purchas a tamed-dragon(the highes and of course the most expensive)for riding and they may fly??
whatcha think??

unfortunately, the rider and the horse is probably one sprite, so i guess changing the creature ridden might not pay off. and i don't like the idea of dragon riders, because the black dragon is too hot and the bone dragon is too bony to sit on, and i doubt they would let anyone sit on their backs even if they could.
i just hope the hero can fly over the obstacles with the dragons in the army only if the hero can fly on his own.

Black Dragon too hot ??? ehmm. he only breath fire out of his mouth not out of his back so the rider wont get burned
Bone Dragon hmmm.... this 1 i agree with u or maybe with some glue

i meant that neither the bone nor black dragon wouldn't let anyone to ride with them. the only dragon that has had anyone riding it is the dragon golem, but the dragon golem is a machine and machines cannot be trusted, they are wicked and treacherous and they have no dignity.
btw that's not the real reason why i don't like the idea of heroes riding on dragons, but i guess i just cannot explain it well enough.
at least it would make me think that monsters should also be able to ride on other monsters. and what would be the hit points of a hero mounted on a dragon?
but nevertheless, imho the fact that heroes dismount when they go to battle is completely illogical. if you were in the same situation, what would you do? i guess i would fight mounted, and also the real knights didn't have the horses just to make them look good.
