Metrograde OOC
Everyday Life.
The Main idea of this thread is that you people act as everyday people, for example:
Bussienss worker or a taxi driver, and in you're posts you describe the day that you had, but make sure that you atleast come in contact with one of the other rp'ers and how that changed the day.
Anything can happen in this game, and I shall be the GOD in this game.
At the end of each day, when every RP'er has posted making the post about their Day, then I shall determine what happens for the next day, for example:
Monday: Snow, Hail and Power Cut out from 10:30 am till about 12:04 pm, Heavy Traffic, Schools have been called off.
Tuesday: Heavy Showers all day, Minor Flooding in the Lower Areas of the City, Light Traffic.
You would then have to incorporate the things happening for the day such as the snow, hail powercut out etc etc, into you're post and then describe exactly how they changed you're day and what happened and all that, finally ending you're day as you come home.
You can come in contact with as many Rp'ers as possible, and more than once, you can make you're own Conversations with them, and they must the same for the other RP'er you are making the conversation with.
You must come into atleast one other RP'er.
AS I will be acting like GOD, I will also follow rules, ofcourse  , but I wont suddenly change the course of the day, when some certain people have made a post and others havent because that would throw it all offbalance and it would ruin the game.
I will wait for each person involved within this game to make a post and when I am given the thumbs up I shall say the things which will happen tommorow.
Anything can happen on any day, just try not to make you're posts too short or whatever, include basically everything that happened in you're day, it can be anything random, like you slipped over a banana peel, or you got run over by a car and had to be taken to hospital or anything you want basically, you can even involve you getting into the drugs and having you're whole career crashing down and you getting involved with the local gangstas ans hanging out with them and if you are desperate, can even act as a drug dealer and have that as you're person's Career or whatever, and include everything that goes in his/her everyday life.
Just remember that ANYTHING can happen, anything at all, which makes this RP so totally random and unpredictable.
If you would like to join this RP, just make a post saying you would like to signup and include you're character details in this thread.
Make sure that you include these with you're character:
Name
Age
Sex (male/female)
Career (can be anything, hospital worker, taxi driver, bussiness man, games designer, homeless person, supermarket worker, politican, Policeman/woman, Firefighter, etc etc, anything is possible or accetped, you can even become a robber/burgular if you wish to do so)
Hair Colour (can be mentioned if you are going out with someone or whatever and someone describes you and mentiones what hair colour you have or something)
Eye Colour (same as hair colour)
Things you are good at
Things you are not good at
Skin Colour
Yeah those are mainly the basics, I may add in more but those are the main ones which you should focus on, do not add you're own, it makes it easier for me if you don't add any more 
Here could be an example post if you would like to see:
7:30 am: I got up from a nice sleep, although the hail and snow from last night was keeping me awake, I got to sleep at a resonable time so that is alright.
7:45 am: I am just making breakfeast right now.
8:00 am: Getting ready for work, I just hope that it is not snowing or raining, although I can see a little bit of rain from outside my window, looks like it is going to be another boring and dark day again.
8:30 am: Driving to work, although the road is a little slippery, I can handle it, I hope.
Damn rain keeps getting on my windows, and it is making it harder to see, as my Windscreen Wipers are not the best, or not in the best shape I should say, and they are driving me NUTS.
8:55 am: Just on time to my work, notlate and not early, just on time.
Ahh damn my cloths are getting wet, I better dry them off so that the water does not drip onto the nice, clean floor inside my Work.
That could be one way to make the post or here is another possible way:
I woke up this morning with the biggest headache, mainly because of the Heavy Rain coming down last night at about 10 PM, it was driving me NUTS, I couldn't get to sleep until about 11:20 PM, well that's what I think was the time, I may be wrong.
I made breakfeast shortly after Iwoke up, got out of bed and put my nice, warm slippers on.
I had Vegemite Toast for my breakfeast, although the Bread was Wholemeal, and I hate that crap, totally disgusting bread.
After I finished my breakfeast I went to my rom, and started getting dressed, and from what I saw outside of my window, it was going to be a nice, Rainy day, just like it has been for the last week.
Shortly after I got dressed, I locked the door, and had to run to my car, is it started raining down pretty hard.
After about 15 minutes I got to work,although during the drive which seemed endless, I couldn't really see as the rain was poruing onto the windscreen and making it hard to see, and seeing as though my Car is pretty old and crap, I couldn't blame it.
I had to run into my work, although making sure that my cloths were not wet, as I didn't want to wet the new carpet which had just been installed 2 days ago, and if anyone ruined it, they would get a very big mouthfull from the Boss.
Those are 2 ways you can set it out.
They are both simple and good in my opinion, but choose to do it as you wish, but those are just 2 ideas which seem pretty simple in my opinion

Watch as her daily life unfolds and see how this everyday waitress shakes things up in Metrograde…

I'll be a 6', brown haired average, athletic built man generally with short hair and stubble.
On the one hand he goes to work every day. He neatens his hair, puts on a suit and sits in his office and get's told what to do by his boss.
But then there's the drugs. He is a heavy Rock addict, to the point where is has given him a split personality. When under the influence of the drug, he is completely different, even has different memories and barely recognizes himself as the same person. He feels invincible, is generally violent, and suffers from chronic insomnia which keeps him out all night. This often leaves him waking up with no recollection of how he got there. His main income comes from drug trafficking, which he often spends when on a high.
The severe brain damage caused by the habit is causing minor insanity as he struggles to deal with his identity and to find out what he really wants in life.
It is this which makes him more volatile, but it'll make for a good story and some interesting interactions.

I have anger problems, which can sometimes conflict with my work, for example when on chases, I may often get angry, and go a little crazy when driving or when in a fight to try and get the criminal down.
I have also got a Drug Addiction which I am not able to get off, and I usually sneak down past midnight, to the local drug dealer's house to get some, although I fear that I may get found out and lose my job one day.
I live in an old Apartment, overlooking the main street, and am about 15 minutes by car from the Policestation, and am about 5 minutes away from the drug dealer's house.
I have light blonde hair, Icy Blue Eyes, have a scar on the right side of my face, and I sometimes walk with a hunched back.
My main goal is to become an Lieutenant or an Officer, or something higher than just a normal Police Officer, but my job with the Policeofficer is mainly catching criminals and busting them for it.
My main strength is with driving, I can drive extremely well when under alot of pressure, but again my anger can change that very quickly.
I work better along with my job, and rarely ever work with a partner, and if I do, I make sure that they stay completely out of the way.
I have a small limp with my right leg, but it isnt anything that bad, I can still run quite fast which is good for catching criminals on the run by foot, but sometimes it can also affect my work.
I am living happily in Metrograde City, am currently single and have a job.

My main weakness is rain, but I also have a thing for people throwing useless objects into my begging cup.

I'm bored in my relationship with my wife and am constantly flirting with the possibility of an affair. I haven't yet only because I'm too much of a coward. I drink like a fish to kill the boredom in my life but I'm not an alcoholic.
I stand 5'8", have stooped shoulders, a sunken chest, and a slight paunch. I wear glasses because contacts irritate my eyes while I'm staring at a computer screen.

Well I was thinking that perhaps the people in this thread start out not knowing each other and then somehow meet by random chance. Like maybe two people get into a car accident or something. And so the RPers meet that way.
Or maybe two people are out at a bar and they meet somehow. I think this could be a plausible plot line for an RP. But it would require people devoted enough to post consistantly.

Thats a good idea, I was thinking of that but then forgot about it as I got too carried away with inventing new ideas for this possible RP lol.
Ok, here is what happens:
Each Player for the first 4 days let's say, does not know anyone, they do NOT include anyone else in there everyday life.
For the 4th day, something must happen which will involve a stranger (another RP'er) and then that is how you begin to interact with these people, and then start to come into contact, like for example, meeting at a bar or something, perhaps a fight ensures and you get hit and the bartender helps you (bartender happens to be another RP'er) abd then that is how you two meet, or for example a car crash and the other person is another RP'er, or a hold up occurs and the criminal is actually an RP'er, get what I am saying?
After that 4th day, you must then include another RP'er in you're day, and explain exactly what happend from that, and how that changed you're day and stuff.
I shall not be a person, instead I shall be the GOD of this, determining what happens on that particular day, like weather, traffic conditions, schools on or off, power blackout etc etc etc.
You can also be a school student aswell, perhaps a Primary School Student or a High School Student it is totally up to you.
Anything can happen in this game, anything.
OH, by the way, if for some reason you die, maybe like you get shot in a holdup where the criminal is an RP'er, thenn you can start a totally new character and start off again
Here is what might happen with the game:

Those are just examples for now, so yeah, but that is what it could look like, different ofcourse for different settings  , but I hope that gave you a rough sketch of what may happen.

agreed.
although it sounds boring in the title (no offence, but Everyday Life doesn't sound that appealing to me ) it could lead to some interesting possibilities.
That being said, you'd have to be very imaginative and a good writer to do so.
Like you said Taxi Driver, you could make it interesting like the movie Collateral, having a hitman force you to drive around for him etc.

Thanks TA for that, while the name may not be good the other stuff might be.
I like your idea of the Taxi Driver thing, that sounds cool and you can do whatever you wish, make up any crazy story that happened with you're day.
You must incorporate the things I say thought, like the weather traffic conditions etc etc.

I agree that maybe the thread name is a bit boring, so to resolve this issue I think we should name the thread after the city in which this story will take place.
Maybe we could call the town Metrograde.

Another idea I had in mind. I was thinking that this RP could be semi-humorous. Meaning there were aspects of the thread that were taken very seriously, meaning it needs to be realistic, but at the same time maybe the things that happen aren't always dramatic.
To compare what I have in mind, equate The Simpsons to Woock's Spam Angels. I'm thinking this RP could be more like Friends or Seinfeld.

Being Serious yet Humourous at times is a good idea.
If you would like to make it humourous go ahead.
But it is a good idea.
You can maybe over exaggerate things that happen to you're character in the city, and over exaggerating them so much that it becomes funny, but yet the rest of it can be serious or whatever.

Idea for City Landmark:
The regulars bar - Perhaps this could be a place where many of our characters go take a load of after work and chat with the bartender or some of the other regulars.

What william says sounds good, but I'm not really interested in writing a comedic RP. Humerous at times, sure, but stupidly funny isn't what I was thinking.
I was thinking more crime, desperation, politics, betrayal etc. along those lines.

I also wasn't thinking stupidly funny either.
But in the same sense I wasn't thinking of a completely serious RP either.
I was thinking of something along the lines of a comedy that has a good plot. Like maybe something similar to the movie Mrs Doubtfire with Robin Williams. The movie is definitely a comedy and at times a bit ridiculous, but it is a great story about a father willing to do anything to spend time with his children.
