Why? - Heroes 5 is the newest title in the heroes series but it is totaly different... many traditions for the series are removed, like legendary heroes (Sandro) or  favourite creatures like the azure dragons. Many descriptions are changed, many heroes are dead and the story line is not typical for HoMM.

Ubisoft and Nival want for create new beginning for the series, with no links with the old HoMM games...

Other reason is that in HoMM the player haven't got the "same potentiality" like in Heroes 4 for an example, or that  the towns are not very well-balanced.

And finally the interface and the comic graphics + animations are really harassing sometimes.

Our addon will include:

# Renegades as a playable race;
# Drastic changes to the Necropolis;
# Different looks for male and female heroes;
# new neutrals, artifacts, heroes, spells and campaigns;
# additional features in menus and spell books;
# new legendary heroes, creatures and artifacts from the old series.

... and 5 new campaigns + many, many, many others !

You can help us in:

1. Testing:

We need more testers, the work of the tester is to play Heroess 5 GotP, before the MOD will be releaseed, the first test will begin very soon.

2. Programming:

We need more programings too, people with good experience in the programming or Heroes 5 modding can help us and we need them.

3. Graphics designer:

Work with Photoshop or other programm.
Work with 2D or 3D graphics.

4. Mapmakeing:

We need more single- and multyplayer maps, with or without the GotP additions. In Heroes 5 we need more maps.

Ah well I have the GotP Alpha version if there are enough people interested we might be able to finish it.

So I'll ask: Who is interested as I can fix most bugs and I can create the new Neutrals that were planned.

I would like to help but I am npt quite of a modder besides I am not shure if I'll have time so... I can't. Maybe you should PM Ted, ElteKill and all the guys that worked on it. Besides you can seek help on elrath forum.

@Daystar: I misunderstood my soure I need to change two bytes, there is no limit That's how my Asylum MOD will work a new Hero class can be used at one offset and the Artifacts at two other bytes I have a list of bytes the only one I don't have is the one for a Faction I'll ask my source and probably TotE will have other numbers so I'll ask it then.

@Serpent well EliteKill quit this Project too and Teb is no Modder, so I'll need other people to help me. The bugs I can fix are:

1. Sancrum is still named Haven - Easy one text file that needs to be changed.
2. If you upgrade the Angel in Sancrum it'll become an Archangel not a Fallen Angel - If I'll do this I'll need to rebuild the entire Sanctrum MOD that fixes lots of bugs
3. There is a red square around the Campfires - Yeah I only need to see wich effect it is and I'll correct it.
4. The new Treant moves way too slow Sad - Easy I only need to change the walking speed of the walking Animation
5. Neutral creatures bugs: Ghosts on the amp Spectral Dragon in battle. Mummy on the map: Black Knight in battle - I'm not sure if I can do this one I'll need to experiment, but I'm unsure (Probably not )
6. The Ruined Tower (Adv map) gives you a Spectral Dragon. - Same as bug 5
7. The Sacrum pictures are wrong in town on the Adv map but in battle and in the creature view they're correct. - That's easy to fix

What do you think?

Horaaaaaaaaaaaah! GotP is back to life! Great thanks to the Dr.Kronos10000 for the reanimation! So, I'll bring my last qustions back - is GotP going to the piratic expansion pack - the ANTI TotE, or is it going to work WITH it? And will it be compatible with the conflux pack?

Thanks guys! The new thread will be up soon (So we'll have a master Post I can edit to post updates).

@Blackfirefox: Can you make maps? If the answer is yes youncan help making the campaigns I have too many maps at hand right now. If not you can think of Stats for the Tier 10 creatures (Wich I found out how to do that) I'm not too good at Stats.

@Cepheus: You're good at Texturing, can you make a Hero skin for Andrei? I was thinking of Markal's model with a red cape with some golden colours at the edges (Sanctrum colours) and with a brown beard as he is the High Priest of the Red Brotherhood. I know you're working on Tiles and Town Textures so I'm not forcing you if you don't want to I'll ask someone else

@Serpent2: I think it'll be compatible with the Conflux pack as GotP does not drastically changes Fortress at least I'll make it compatible with ToK.

I allready found what's causing the Campfire square it uses the same effect Textures asthe Haven rays if I copy the effect and change one of the two and the bug is fixed

I can take a shot at it, never done one, but it should not be to hard, what kind of criteria are you looking for.

As for as stats go I work with numbers all the time, again gimme some criteria and I will help out with that too!

+ Black clothes are now red, no longer gloomy and emo.
+ Markal's pentagram insignia has been changed to the cross-like one the Zealots wear.
+ The gemstone is now green, not purple.
+ Skin complexion is less grey, brighter.

Any preferences for the horse?  I can alter those textures too, maybe I should change the colour, or even give her some armour?

I think you should do silver barding with red trim and a smattering of gold.

@Cepheus: Impressive! Can you read minds? As it almost exactly like what I had in mind, some ideas for the horse you can try to make it look a bit like the horse of the Renegade Heroes (I know it can't be exactly the same, but just some similar armours)

@Ted: That's what I was hoping to, but I should give the credit to the original team as they did a lot too, I think I can handle this and ToK at the same time as long as I don't do the mapping for both. ToK's maps will come first while I'm modding for GotP.

Just a note, the Beta will be made public as I think it has been kept "secret" for way too long imo.
