I was fully aware of that. However, they have a no-retaliation flier and the fastest and really numerous level 1 creature, so that should balance it out a bit... The monks would not be so hard to access too. The thing is, the monks are now good both for relatively early and late phases of the game.

Basically the strength of this faction is in maneuverability. If you manage to make the right moves, you should gain a powerful advantage over the enemy. I guess my advice would be to distract the enemy / prevent them from shooting / weaken them with quick and expendable units (Darklings, Myst Seekers, Rift Worms), while perhaps hampering them by slowing them and shooting at them (Black Disciples), and finally get the slower and more powerful units there (Onyx Keepers and, ultimately, the Faceless) to make short use of the main enemy ranks. Shades are also there to backstab some potential enemy troublemakers if need arises. In mid-game, Rift Worms, in combination with Shades, could take the role of main enemy rank decimators if the player has no Onyx Keepers and Faceless, although they are not too representative on hit points.

I know you don't need them, but here are some of suggestions....

-I would recomand making Faceless as a lv7 Shooter/Caster-type

-For unname reason, I still would like to see Rift Worm as lv 6 creature instead.

-While a Tanker-Sieger is helpful... still think ONYX KEEPER is a bit out of theme.  

-Might change Elusive as 50% chance of evading range attacks.

-For MystBringer, how about change it to where nearby tiles (3 tile radius) are cover in Myst, making all range unit having 50% to miss their attacks.

-Make Shadowling's movement Teleport, but keep its speed at 6. (unless you are going to make Shade's movment teleport too.. than it would not be needed)

-Hero/Racial ability?  I cann't think of any... but something along the line of Shadow and teleporting?

Nope. They will probably be able to cast some spells, but will be melee fighters. Both Angels and Devils fight in melee... That's some sort of a code of honor among the immortal races I guess...

I was thinking the same thing, but the Onyx Keepers would have to be level 5 then, and hydras already exist as ultimate level 5 tankers. So I think I'll keep it this way.

Why? Onyx is very important for the Faceless and they use it for many purposes. Namely, because of its magical potential, they use it to create some sort of huge golems imbued by various Faceless powers. Hence the Onyx Keepers. Besides, I need variety in this town - can't make all creatures dark, shadowy creepers...

No. Nothing even close to Incorporeal... That ability totally pisses me off. But look at it this way - 50% of the stack evades missiles, but of course some get hit... Pure logic.

I don't know. Seems too powerful, and again, it reminds me of Incorporeal... Nah, I'd rather leave it this way, although it's a good idea.

I was seriously considering stuff like that while I made the lineup, but decided to put it this way. Shadowlings are pesky enough just the way they are. If I made Shades teleport, then I'd have two chained fliers - lvl 2 and 3 - which is not needed, and that would also mean I have to weaken them in other stats, which would make the town too vulnerable in early-game...

I've been thinking a lot about that and I'll probably make something with teleporting around, but I'm not sure... Perhaps there is some cooler idea out there, lurking in the forgotten corners of my demented mind... I have some hints of ideas, but haven't shaped them yet. Relax, there's some time to pass before I start thinking about heroes. First I want to complete the lineup and add the interface around it (once again, sorry for the low quality of the interface, but I think you'd rather choose that than shiny pics but hours of waiting).

I will try to find time to give you in-depth feedback when the full units with statistics are done. The work is so good it certainly deserves it. One thing you might consider, however, is this: All the units have a very high number of individual abilities. I know this very commonly happens when you try to develop new and interesting units (I do the same myself!), but sometimes you need to simplify. Notice, that the majority of the current units have only one special ability on the basic form, and two on the upgraded one (not counting common ones like Large, Flyer, Caster, Ranged, Undead, Gating, etc.).

Btw. are you working on the Racial ability, and will the units have a race defined property (like the Undead)?

About the abilities, I thought that might be the second strength of this faction... With a lot of abilities, it would be more fun to play with... I think other factions should get more abilities too actually. But I'll try to drop the unneeded ones... Such as Riftcrawl from Rift Worms/Wyrms since the racial might be involved with teleportation...
About the racial ability, like I told Actionjack, I'll probably make something with teleporting around, although I have some other tiny ideas. But I have some things to finish before making the racial anyway, who knows what I'll think up until then? It might even include a racial resource (onyx)...
Finally, about the race-defined property, yes. I thought I'd call it "riftspawn" or "riftal" or something like that... The point is that they can be healed by the Black Disciples/Monks and it would perhaps also have something to do with the racial ability...
Btw I forgot to congratulate you on modship... Way to go, Alc

Uhm, first of all, sorry for some inactivity from me, I'm totally busy with various crap right now so I don't have much time for this project...
@Daystar
The shade is cute but it's head is somewhat weird... Besides, I don't want it to be hooded, it would remind of wraiths... I was thinking that shades would look a little like shades from Warcraft III (though I strongly dislike taking ideas from it, the shade was surprisingly well designed and fit my view of them quite closely).
The Faceless' sword is AWESOME but I have a completely different vision of the Faceless in looks... They should have palge gray skin and faces, not a silver skull, and without the neck collar... And with some details on the ends of the robe.
Those were just creative suggestions of course. I really admire your skill in 3d modelling (especially because of the sword... it's just perfect )
Thanks man... If you'd just be so kind to alter them like I advised, I'd worship you
EDIT: Now that I think about it, could you make the sword a bit longer? Sorry if I'm a pain in the ass (I don't know what's the "if" for, I know I'm a total pain in the ass )

Cool. Your pretty good at that 3D stuff. I myself prefer pencil and paper. As baklava said, the sword is awesome, but you should change the Faceless's head. And maybe also brighten the colors, becuase it's somewhat hard to see.
