Age of Kings and TC Expansion pack.
Best RTS game I have ever played in my life.
Starcraft comes very close too.

ahem...
BFME is Battle for Middle Earth
as for my choice? went with StarCraft because AoE3 kinda ruined that line for me... and AoM is an entirely different beast

Warcraft no doubt about that. Yeah it must be Warcraft. But then again it could be C&C. Now that i think about it i'm pretty sure it's C&C. Yeah i have allways tough that C&C is best RTS. Now let's vote for Total Annihilation!

Geny I agree that dune2 started it back in 1992, I really like the game because this is how I fell in love with the genre, but then came my favourite(warcraft: orcs&humans), but it's only one game, dune 2000 and emperor battle for dune weren't that great, that's why I didn't include them in my pole. You should vote other.
I also liked Dark Reign but I didn't put it because it's just one game and the poll is about a game serie.

Dark Colony was pretty coo.
7th Legion was quite innovative in a fun way, but not as quirky as Netstorm. Everyone go get Netstorm!

Warhammer 40k - Dawn Of War definitely,maybe not so colossal like Warcraft or Starcraft,but for me it's the best one

C&C was an awesome series, but Starcraft and AoE come close.
Total Annihilation is a pretty underrated game IMHO.

Yep, agree with you there Trogdor on TA.
AoK imo is one of the best RTS games, C&C comes pretty close, but I like the medieval kind of stuff, instead of guns and futuristic kind of things, like laser towers (trying to make a description for the Tesla Towers in C&C  ).

I like the C&C serie (although not my favourite) but I have to say I was very dissapointed with Tiberium Wars.
